The current roster is:

There are to be no more than five nations on either side, and the roster is on a first come first serve basis.

Each side will share one island. The war will start with Side 1 invading the island of Side 2. If the invasion fails, then Side 1 will recede to their own island, and Side 2 will attempt an invasion of Side 1's island.

ah and what about helicopters?

I've only worked on the basics, but I will let you know about even more units prior to the start.

This is all about having fun. This war has no reprocussions on a nation. When it is over, everyone will continue to manage their nations as if this war had never taken place.

Errrrrrrr... maybe.... it really depends on what my superiors say... namely Belfarc, whom I am declaring supreme allied commander!

Thing is I'll probably bring in shore defence batteries which can shell your fleet, if not them I'll just use tanks (My tanks use Linear guns which is a different type of rail gun only major difference is they can fire both projectile and solid shells). So I can just hook a external generator up to them increasing the power output and the range.

Well, if you can make "laser" tanks, than I can make "anti-laser" tanks to blow up your laser tanks. So there! *sticks out tounge* Why don't we just stick to a certain level of modern realism here, please?

I know not one word of it was said, that is obvious. I meant if you're going to use rail guns, a technology not used at all today except for prototypes and such, we might as well use lasers, and anti lasers etc.

Rail guns use a large amount of power but on NS things like that can be solved in seconds rather then years

That would be cool. Also, a huge part of D-day (or any prolonged military engagement for that matter) is supplies. What is stopping someone from making there tanks drive straight through your country without any support, if your dice rolls well? I propose a supply system, stating that supplies go in levels. For example: Say level 5 supplies (achieved by a certain specified number of supply aircraft, ships, trucks, railways, etc.) gives you more than enough supplies, leaving your troops morale extra high and giving them better fighting ability. Level 4 means your troops have enough supplies but not an excess; therefore making there fighting ability normal. Level 3 means they don't have enough, taking away fighting ability, level 2 even less, and so forth.

Can you say massive 230mm Rail gun shore defence batteries? I can cripple there fleets then blow them up by first hitting the carriers. personally other then my carriers I'll have 4 ship classes2 different destroyers and two different frigates

Slow down there, cowboy. Weapons will be FULLY regulated before the start. Everyone will have nearly the same thing. There can't be any unfair advantages. Once the teams are full, I will revise the information to include types of infantry, artillery, and armor.

Yes, but nothing ridiculous like laser cannons or 230mm guns. Artillery will most likely consist of 88's and 105's for both sides.

Actually the Germans had what could be called brilliant defences. They had built a literal atlantic sea wall in many places. It's just that the allies were evn more brilliant. :)

South Lizasauria has the best military in the region even when it was densly populatied by other nationstates, my tanks, air force and infantry are advanced, they are my three main ways of winning wars :D :mp5: :sniper:

Yes, you may choose any nation that participated in D-Day. For Side 1, this includes the Americans, Canadians, English, and French. For Side 2, you must be German. However, if you are on Side 1, you must use the weapons, armor, ships, and planes of your nation.

.....why couldn't this be Okanawa. then i can use the japanese navy. but ya germany does not have frigates or carriers in WWII just destroyers, battle ships and U-boats

The Leocardian forces prepared for war. Their powerful, proven "Hit and Run" technique is one of the most used techniques by the LeocardianNavy Fighters of all times. It was the break of dawn, before all chaos starts, the men partied with the fine women of Leocardia, before their revelation comes upon them. The last minute inspections done by the Leocardian Naval Inspectors were underway, powerful defences shined to bling, and the Special Ops forces worked out and did their final training in their camps. It was a thunderous pride of hatred to the enemies of Side 1. The Leocardian Pride boosted the men's morale and grew them confident that this war is theirs.

Damian Vandego, High Commander of the Allied Forces on that day, walked into the bridge of the BSS Roline. He approached the intercom, in full uniform.

"My great allies, today, we will storm this beach. This will be the fight of your lives. All you can do is pray and help your fellow soldiers out there. Just stick to cover, and save your ammo for when you need it."

He stepped away from the intercom. All of the guns on Belfarc's ships turned toward the coastline. They began to pound the entire area with shells.

"get me are planes in the air now!" a man said after hitting the table in front of him "we must take the skys to stop any plan they have!" he yalled out. The man around him then scrambled to follow his orders.

The P-51's and P-46's flew in trianglular formations until reching the beaches. The sea men aboard the anchored battleships waited to open fire upon the beaches, atleast until the fighters had cleared the target zone. They watched as flashes of light shot out of the sides of the planes and turned into puffs of smoke as they hit the sides of the towering bunkers and pillboxes. Soon they would expect AA attacks, and so, on the signal, General Weisenhower ordered a full artillery barrage along the beaches. The fighters finished off the last of there rockets and proceded inland, to meet up with a flight of B-25's and B-17's. Once the planes were indeed clear, all avilable battleships and assorted frigates opened up on the beaches. From the far away positions on the ships, all that could be seen was huge explosions on the beaches, occasionly exploding on a enemy bunker or trench. Men poured out of the side of the troop transports onto all sorts of varied amphibious vehicles. Weisenhower attempted to supervise the transfer of men into the small amphibious ships, but it was impossible, due to the wide scale transfer. Men all over were climbing down into there ships, some falling off or getting caught in the rope ladder. Within twenty minutes however, the lead ships, code named "Weisenhower's Surprise" were on there way. The first wave was on there way.

President: Good morning everyone. As you all know, Umvitz is at war. But up until this moment, it has been a war of politics, a worldwide debate on the events leading up to today.

The press mumbles as the president pauses, then he continues.

President: Today the Republic and the Defense council has decided. (The president turns to face the cameras) To the nations of Belfarc, United Ed States, Ostroeuropa, South Lizasauria, and the Reconaissance Ilsands, I declare war. And mark my words you nations of poverty and tyranny, we will reign victoriously! The age of these psychotic dictatorships is over! Alle Hagel das Vaterland! Tod zum opressors! The national audience cheers while they all join in to chant the age-old battlecry, which had not been used since the great war of Svedethleind, and the independance war of Umvitz.

Outer space, above Lizasauria
The sunlight stretched across the Earth, dancing over land and sea. Light never knows where it's going, only that it will run into something eventually, which is exactly what happened. Bouncing off the metal casing of a satellite, the light was on its way across the solar system, into oblivion. Meanwhile the satellite stirred, it's drives whirring and it's correctional system activating, and green lights turning on along the sides of 40 neuclear missiles, as the satellite moved into position above Lizasauria's major port-city.

IC:A large group of British Mosquito bombers begin carpet bombing the shores on the Ilse controlled by Umvitz.

The Militarized state of Germanic Grace Academy signes deals with Leocardia.

The Grace Academy Chancellor Adolf Stalin moves up to his booth and gives out a large hate speech. Hail Stalin shouts the croud as everyone marches toward the barracks, factories and academies to do their part.

The Chancellor of the Reconnaisance Ilsands looks at the turn of events in horror. The situation grows dangerous. As the wuperpowers battle each other Reconnaissance is only a national minnow, a sitting duck and target for the predatory powers of the axis. The Parliement gets together to discuss the war, eventually its decided that more neatral islands not only need to be colonized but blockaded, at least to ensure that military ilsand bases are attacked before the Ilands home to millions of civillians are.

BTW on all my threads since I'm a new country for the moment my tech remains WII tech until my economy gets better....

Naval Blockades appear on neatral and small ilands near the oceanic war zone.

A warning siren was underway. Thousands of Leocardian men raced through all over the place and manning their battle positions. Airforce was scheduled in time, and fighter jets were all over the skies with Leocardia's flag. Leocardian soldiers went into their bunkers, hid in the sand of the shroes, and got their guns locked and loaded. It was a practice drill. No one knew that this was a drill except the Commander and his aides.

"Aerial stats!" The Commander radioed in to airforce.

"Mustang-1, clear!"
"Mustang-3, clear!"
"Mustang-15, no where in sight!"

"Infantry stats!" Commander said to the infantry.

"Alpha-1, sector clear!"
"Alpha-Squadeon 8, nothing!"

"Air-D! WHAT DO YOU SEE?"

"Nothing sir."

The men were prepared. The warning siren spewed out a loud doorbell sound, meaning it was all clear of enemy forces. The men, still cautious, slowly walked back into their base.

British Lancaster and Spitfire planes begin devastating the defenses of Leocardia a South Lizasaurian artillery strike is ordered aimed at their command center. Meanwhile spy planes hover over Umvitz ilsand like vultures.

A formation of ten He 177s took off with escort from FW-190's there target was a large South Lizasauria air field they were armed with FX-1400 Guided bombs the bomb weighed 1400Kg's and could fire from a distance away. The bomb looked like a large pod and was propelled by a solid fuel rocket. They reach the need 2.4km needed to launch. "Do you have the target?" the pilot asked "almost just a few seconds" the airmen responded "hurry it up the will be launching fighters soon" the pilot said in response. A few seconds later he said over the radio "target found launching Fritz now" he said. All ten bombers launched the FX-1400s at the targets at the air field. They were aimed at the hangers, fuel depot, and air strip. The rockets then started on the bombs and they went flying off to the target "lets get out of here they will be on top of us soon, we need to get to our air space" the pilot of a fighter said over the radio.

South Lizasaurian Flak cannons immidiatly start firing at them. South Lizasaurian Spitfires starts firing at them with their cannons, Bombers with onboard gun turrets attack nearby planes and move to Spit Break's border scarring the landscape with its large supply of bombs.

South Lizasauria's Navy starts shelling whatever's in range of Spit Break's Iland. South Lizasaurian ships have on board AA guns, and depth charges for U-boats, beware!

South Lizasauria then lands troops on the shore after all defenses on the shore have been obliterated.

OOC: Just a reminder to all this is WWII tech only no homing missiles or large ships with enough power to wipe out a solar system and all that, the best thing we have right now artillery strikes.

But by then they had entered range of the new fighters. From a near by air field 7 ME 262's got air borne and intercepted the spitfires opening fire with there 40mm cannons. There high speed made it impossible for the spitfires to keep up. On the ground V-3's opened fire on the enemy fleet there heavy barrage would sink there navy for sure. Mean while deep under water three XXI U-boats came to the right distance to fire torpedos from there six tubes "keep her like this, ready fire!" the captain said then the six torpedos were lauched at the enemy fleet.

The commodore did as ordered, shells began bombarding the source of the barrage leaving everything in smoldering ruin.:gundge:

The base was bombarded by Lizasaurian forces. It was a Hell in the battlefield, but the Leocardian forces remained strong. Enemy fighters and bombers flew and bombing the shroes of Leocardia. "AERIAL COVER!" The machineguns blazed at the planes. Leocardian fighter jets, 400 fighters were out in the air, fired rapidly against the raging enemy forces, however, the outcome were 17 planes down, and the enemy should suffer even more, as the battle scene looked.

The antiair defences fired it's barrage of rockets into the air, as well as unloading their stockpiles of ammunition. The Leocardian bases are given too much extra ammunition daily. They fired all out rounds, wasting every bullet possible. The infantry division was in no action, however, they were out, scattered, armed with shotguns aiming for any bombers that would take their risk of swooping low into the Leocardian grounds and be shot at by shotgunners two times per person.

The artillery strike, did well enough damage.

"Command HQ 65! Do you repeat?"

No answer. A total of 50 military officials who were occupied in the CC were lost.

South Lizasaurian Lancasters carpet bomb Leocardia. Special planes designed for paratroops flew in and dropped troops by the hundreds.

OOC: How did you do all this? There were no ships that brought the infantry over to the shores.

"They're engaging a bomb! Aim at that main ship!!!" The Commander, while in his equipment, ordered. All of the antiair defences aimed at the plane. Unloading rockets and barrels of ammunition at the plane. Aimlessly, at the body of the aircraft, and directly at the wings. The accurate Leocardian defences maintained a strong defence as the plane that was about to make a bombing on Leocardia's front lines was annihiliated.

The shores were enemy infantry, rising from the seas toward the Leocardian strongholds. Leocardian soldiers, who ever still cautious moving back as no infantry was sighted, jumped into the sand of the shores and unloaded their machinegun barriers. The men who were inside, immediately sprinted out to the scene and was extra backup to the prepared Leocardian soldiers. Flamethrowers were used to flame up the shroes, in which enemy infantry is expected to pop up, while rifle-armed men stand a few feet behind them watching of any enemies to fire at.

Bunkers were used by additional machinegun men, incase any enemies were able to bypass the layer of infantry defences by the Leocardian flamethrowers, machinegunners, and riflemen. The bunker troops stood aside from the battle, farther back from the fronts, but close enough to catch any enemy unsighted by the first defences or if they have been breached. 3 antiair defences stood behind them, firing everything at any enemy bombers who decide to bomb their bunker. It was impossible for the Lizasaurian forces to breach Leocardian defences.
