"Hello, I'm Lorena." Her little sisters finally came in.
"About time you sleepy heads got up." Lorena said to her sisters.
"These are my little sisters, Cathrina, and Puala."
Cathrina implies "Hey I can speak for my self thanks. I'm Cathrina."
"I'm Thelluauna. I'm new the academy this year." She rinsed her hair
"Yomieaa."
Aiko finished her shower and got dried off before putting on a fluffy pink bathrobe and wrapping a towel around her head.
"Good to meet you Thelluana, Yomeiaa, Lorena, Catherina and Paula" she replies to everyone adding "there'll still be time for breakfast if we're quick".
She then goes to a sink so she can brush her teeth as Suki slinks into the bathroom.
"you can get a bath later" Aiko tells her vixen.

Lorena shut off her water and towled up. She then dressed in a nice dress, sort of a first-day-of-school day family tradition. She helped her youngest sister Paula dress, and fixed her hair. They went down for their breakfast, and seperated to their diffrent classes. Lorena's first class was History
Evan quickly showered and ran her hands through her hand rather than bother with a brush or comb, something that she could get away with because of her short hair. Getting dressed, she picked up her staff and headed down to get some food, forgoing introductions.
Aiko returned to the dorm and got dressed putting on her white sailor fuku and dark blue knee length skirt.
with her straw hat, a pair of white knee length socks and her penny loafers later she was ready for breakfast as she waited for Mystic to finish up.
Thelluana finished her shower and dressed. After eating a small breakfast, she went to her first class, Seamstry
While Aiko waited she checked her time table and found this morning she had a double period of flying.
She smiled and got the cleansweep broom from under her bed and changed her socks for a pair of white woolen tights.
Flying could get draughty from time to time if you wore a skirt..

Mystic had finished getting ready, getting the fur all ready took some time but it was certainly worth it, Aiko was checking her timetable as Mystic finally was ready.
"Time for breakfast, I certainly am hungry." Mystic said as she started to head to breakfast. While getting ready she managed to find her Timetable that she thought she had lost, It seems that she had the same classes as Aiko appart from the electives
However, she was unsure exactly how the flying lesson would go.

"I'm Minamo Kurosawa, I'll be your flying teacher. For thoes of you here again, welcome back, for thoes of you who are knew let me give you the run-down. I'll teach you about flying in every fation, broom, wing incantation, staff flying, all your skills. For thoes of you learning sports flying, I'll teach you how to do evasive skills with out falling off or crashing, teach you how to catch objects, and so on. Now before we begin does anyone have any questions?"
Evan raised a hand before asking, "What are the differences between the three methods, does staff size have any bearing on it and could we see a demonstration?"
Magic Sorcery
14-10-2006, 03:39
"Well broom and staff are almost alike. The diffrance is if you chose to use your staff, wings will propell you, instead of natural flight magic. I'm not quite sure how it works, but I'd be happy to demonstrate. Now a broom..."
She summond a broom into her hand
"They are naturally shapped for flight, very fast but harder than it looks. The key is balance."
She got on the broom and hoverd. "While it is tricky, it becomes easier. The key is to give an easy kick off and hover, then go into flight." She did a small circle around the field, an landed.
"Now staff, most staffs can get you into flight, however extremly long ones are harder. Now like a broom the key is to get center. Call for your wings flight!" Wings sprouted out magically from the staff. "And kick off."
She kicked hoverd then circled.
"Now the last one takes some time to learn but it's worth it. Incantating wings is a move for Sorcery only. Wizards, Elements, sorry. Now the key it to think your self with wings. Hold your staff straight, and incant Wings. A large pair of wings showed on her back.
"And there you have it. Now it is far easier to take off and land when you incantate wings."
"So those are the basics of what you'll be teaching us?" Evan asked
Aridren was meanwhile using his staff as a prop and dozing. He was the one more interested in flight, but also quite lazy, and tended to spend lessons in the middle ground between the world of sleep and awake.
Magic Sorcery

"That is correct."
Evangeline nodded, before discreetly sliding her staff out to whack Aridren in the foot. She did so quite frequently when he was suppose to be doing something and slacking.
Aridren opened his eyes and waited for the set of instructions or if another student was going to do anything.

Mystic observed the demonstrations, no way would she feel comfortable riding on a broom or even her staff but wings that was something totally different. However flying there is usually no or little cover or protection even with wings and then there is always the chance that something would happen and the magic would fail causing the flyer to plummet to the ground.
Never the less it was an amazing sight seeing the teacher fly around, Mystic whispered to Aiko "I hope my Fur doesn't get too messed up by flying. I spent all morning getting it right."
"I doubt it will. stick with me and you'll be alright" Aiko whispers back.
she then turned to the teacher and asked "Sensai, are we going to be playing Quidditch this year in sports flying?"
Magic Sorcery
17-10-2006, 14:11
"Yes in fact, we will."
"Quidditch?" Evan asked, "What is that?"
Aiko smiled broadly and replied "its a game played on broomsticks but i'm sure that staff users could keep up.
each team had 7 players, a keeper, 2 beaters who keep the psycotic bludgers away from your team, 3 chasers who score the goals with the quaffle and a seeker who tries to catch the golden snitch.
your score by throwing the quaffle into one of the 3 hoops and the game ends when the golden snitch is caught. the seeker who manages that usually wins the game for their team since its worth 150 points.
its quite rough but its the national sports of witches and wizards."
"That explains it then." Evangeline replied obliquely. "Are we going to go into practical lessons today or remain theoretical?"
At this question, Aridren cocked open an eye and muttered, "Practical, what a drag." Practical lessons invariably involved effort or at least action which Aridren prefered avoiding.

"We will actually get to practice today. Now brooms, staffs, wings at your ready, I want you all to start in a basic hover."
Evan nodded and cast the spell to cause her staff to fly.
Aridren did likewise, but where Evangeline's wings were full sized, the wings that appeared on his staff were stunted but still fully functional.
The Mice of Miceland

Mystic was not going to attempt to fly on her staff, and she didn't have a broom, so Mystic did as instructed for the wings.
Stamping the staff and saying the mouse equivalent of "Wings!" Mystic could feel something happen, but when she tried to flap the wings and start to hover she couldn't.
Looking back towards where her wings would be she saw one stunted wing that flapped and did practically nothing.
"Great, I can't fly..."
Magic Sorcery
18-10-2006, 02:21
"Ah you seem to have trouble. Can you flap?"
The Mice of Miceland
18-10-2006, 02:31
Mystic tried to flap her little wing, looking back you could see if flap, but being the size it is and with the size and weight of the being it was trying to make an elephant fly by covering it with feathers.
"Seems so, Miss"
Aiko mounted her broom and rose easily into the air before hovering wth the others and seeing that Mystic had problems.
she whispered down to Mystic "its all about confidence. If you believe that you can fly then you'll have wings"
Magic Sorcery
18-10-2006, 14:22
"Very true. Flying does take a lot of confidence, if you don't have it, you can't fly. Now you can flap, but the problem is, your magic and your mind aren't on the same page. Try to picture your self lighter than you actually are, trick your mind into beliving your are 20 lbs lighter, regardless of your weight, when you do that you should be able to achive lift."
Ender quietly followed instructions and after minor difficulty was hovering on his broomstick. However, it took a good deal of concentration and effort to stay balanced in the unusual state.
Aridren had fallen back into a doze as he lay on his flying staff, his head resting on his hands.
Evangeline was sitting on her's side-saddle. "So what do we do now?"
The Mice of Miceland

Mystic closed her eyes and imagined herself just floating in the air like a balloon not soaring but not being dragged to the ground by gravity but being neutrally bouyant.
She opened her eyes then tried once again to grow her wings.. Stamping the Staff down and incantating "Wings!"... The single wing grew and was complimented by a second wing. The wings where white and leathery and the wingspan was almost as long as Mystic was herself.
Leaping up and flapping her wings Mystic had gotten into the air it took her some time to come to a steady hover relatively near her friend Aiko
Aiko smiled when she seen Mystic join her in her air and rolled her eyes when she seen Aridren sleeping on his staff. That boy would be in a load of trouble if the teacher caught him sleeping.
While she was talking Aiko hovered closer and got out her wand.
she waved it and pointed it at Aridrens face. A brief jet of cold water came from the wand slightly wetting him before Aiko stopped the spell.
The teacher would be bound to notice if he was too wet or if a spell was going off..

"Very good. It will need some work but very good. Now for thoes who are already good at this, that doesn't give you licence to goof around Mr. Airedren." She said with a clam-stern tone. Now for thoes who need more practice, please remain here, my T.A. Koji will watch you, for thoes advance students follow me."
Aridren sighed as he sat up, it seemed that the teacher didn't approve of laziness which meant he'd have to be less actively lazy. Both McDowell followed the teacher to whatever she intended to teach.
Ender wasn't quite sure if he would classify himself as 'advanced' having never set foot on a broom before, but he certainly wasn't going to allow himself to be 'not advanced' and thus he followed behind the teacher.
Aiko flew after the group of advanced students.
Flying was one of her best subjects and she had half a mind on quiddich.
It was a lot more fun than aerial basketball and needed a lot more skill. she was light and small enough to be a chaser and a seeker.

"Okay now for thoes who are intrested in playing Air-Sports this year, be it quiddage, sky-tag, whatever, you will need to learn how to fly faster and safer than ever before. I will begin by teaching evasive manuvers, such as barrel rolls, loops, and rolls. Now, we only have time for sharp curves, so in the air please..."
As Aridren was the twin more interested in the air, he perked up ever so slightly as his staff with it's undersized wings took him upward as he hadn't bother to dismount since she first told them to mount up.
Evangeline was less interested in trick flying as she tended to call it, but likewise soared upward on her swan-winged staff. "What about those who are not interested in the air sports?"
Aiko rose up higher to join her teacher and again hovered while she waited for the others to catch up.
She already could do most of this since she got practice playing Quiddich back home. A bludger whose purpose in life was to knock you off your broom always kept you on your toes.
Still she appeared interested in the lesson. Not everyone was at the same standard.
What if we aren't going to be playing a silly game... Ender thought, though did not voice his resentment, as he continude to fly around.

"Regardless, these are handy skills to learn. Now you all have about 12 more minutes of class time to practice."
"Is there an obstacle course or do we just fly as we wish?" Aridren asked
Magic Sorcery
26-10-2006, 03:24
"For now it's just a free fly. Next Lesson there will be an obstacle course."
"Alright." Evan replied as she looked over at Aridren, and raised an eyebrow. With a nod from her brother, Evangeline took off with Aridren in pursuit, weaving, breaking and generally charting a perilous course. Rather than trying to catch her, he was attempting to mirror her actions while remaining quite close. After half the remaining time passed, they switched off with him taking the lead, her the pursuit.
Ender flew, as per instruction, but did not try anything too advanced. He stayed relatively normal speed for a beginner, which was slow to some, and kept away from dangerous maneuvers.
Able to cut loose for a while Aiko flew fast and hard as if she was playing quiddich.
Her cleansweep wasn't the fastest racing broom out there but it did respond to her slightest action.
Thelluna was hard at work in Seamstry. She was making a very pretty patterned blanket to sleep with at night. The teacher gave her posotive feedback and she was rather happy. Yoimeea dazed in and out of focus in history of magic.

Lorena was trying to keep on her feet in a duling session of her class. She hopped her sisters were having better luck in their classes
After about half an hour of free flying, Ender, while getting a better hold on the art of flying, was becoming slightly bored and tired of the unstructured excercises. To rest, he slowly and delicately made his way to the ground for his first ever landing... but it didn't go off so well; he landed heavily and skidded several feet before stopping.
