Great Nari

OOC: This is so I can refer to anything that happens in my past. I will go in depth more as I add to my nation’s history, and future. Feel free to comment on how you think I am doing. This is written as a historian would write it so anything secret is not entered.
Era I: The Era of the Sundew:
Year One:
The Republic of Great Nari was founded on May 16th by thousands of settlers from different backgrounds. All kept and added unique cultures to the previously uninhabited island. Realizing that creating a government was inevitable, they formed a Democratic Oligarchy where the island would be split into five regions; electing a representative every four years. It was named the Sundew.
After elections for the Sundew took place and the new members began meeting, its first job was to elect a President who would oversee all military related function such as policing, and riot control.
The Sundew ruled with much prosperity, and was well liked throughout Great Nari. It kept a firm stance on isolationism, which upset many members of the small military, most members kept quiet.
The five regions were all known for their various resources:
Vaches: Silver and Coal
Loup: Cattle and Marble
Baleine: Agriculture and Wine
Oiseau: Sugar and Lumber
Terra: Agriculture and Electricity
Religious diversity became rather important to the Great Narian citizens:
30% Catholic
20% Islam
14% Buddhist
10% Baptist
10% Other Christian
8% Judaism
7% Mormon
1% Satanic
Year Thirty Five
The Sundew established minor relation with the five islands that surround Great Nari, known as the Vis Islands. A treaty is signed by all stating that all those who signed will not interfere with the dealings of the other except for trade. It also elminated tarriffs.
Year Forty One
The current Sundew elects a brash new President, named Mace Wallace, who convinces them to increase funding for the military. Managing to purchase body armor, and more sophisticating weapons. Wallace also attempted to persuade the Sundew to fund an Air Force and Navy, but they never did. Unknown at the time was that Mace Wallace wished to lead Great Nari itself, and remove isolationism. Wallace would remain President until the end of the era.
Year Fifty Nine
The economy begins to slump, and unemployment falls to eleven percent. The literacy rate stumbles to about seventy percent. The Sundew's approval rating falls to an all time low of twenty percent.
Era II: The Angelic Era
Year One
The Angelic Revolution
The voting for the Sundew produces similar results as four of the five previous members win. The public calls for a recount and claims fraud. The Sundew denies.
The previous year, Mace Wallace dies of an unexpected heart attack prompting the Sundew to elect his son Amras Wallace as President. During his inaugural speech, Amras reveals his fathers wishes, and assassinates every member of the Sundew.
President Amras is well received by the public as he makes the decision to take Great Nari out of isolationism. He renames the nation to The People's Republic of Great Nari. President Amras names this transitional period: The Angelic Revolution.
A group calling themselves the Light of the People being to rebel on the nation by giving a series of speechs, and public forums. President Amras claims they are an Islamic militia group and vows to defeat them.
The nation of Pschycotic Pschycos extends a hand of friendship to Great Nari. Damon Hermanus is announced as ambassador to the nation. Offering naval and air forces, Pschycotic Pschycos is well loved throughout the nation.
The nation of Kamasha however, becomes hostile to Great Nari claiming democracy is what G.N. needs. President Amras attempts to calm the fires, but the Kamasha government is too hostile. Pschycotic Pschycos agrees to protect Great Nari from Kamasha.
In the President's quest to defeat the Light of the People the nation is forced to place all Islamics into camps, and claim the region of Baleine a military zone. The vast majority of LoP members group into a building located in the Baleine capital. They are heavily armed. Its leader Javaid Khodadad, is considered a terrorist and is wanted by the government.
The military is ordered to surround the building, prompting Kamashan troops to invade the nation. Pschycotic Pschycos and Red Tide2 troops attempt to fend off the hostile Kamashan troops.
Kamashan troops kidnap Javaid Khodadad, but Great Narian troops intercept and take Javaid to meet with President Amras.
Due to immense international pressure Kamasha removes all of its troops soon after. Prompting Pschycotic Pschycos and Red Tide2 to do the same.
Days after Javaid's disappearance he appears on television praising the President. The remaining LoP members disappear, and are still being hunted today.
Former military general, Damon Hermanus, travels to Pschycotic Pschycos in the hopes of establishing true diplomatic relations with the nation. The envoy is successful. Two weeks later Damon Hermanus is announced as Vice President, and cheif ambassador of Great Nari.
President Amras calls an end to the Angelic Revolution.
Other Events
When the nation of Brydog dicovered large amounts of natural gases within its nation, President Amras Wallace staked a claim and opened tariff free trade with Brydog. Wallace created the Great Narian Oil Reserves (GNOR) in case of military issues.

Members: 49 (Original Members; currently hiding in Kamasha) + 6 (High Ranking Government Officials; includes Vice President Damon Hermanus) + 15 (Members of Military) = 70 members
Current Leader: Damon Hermanus (Also Vice President of Great Nari)
Present Goal: Continue to increase membership in order to overthrow the present government of Great Nari.
