A note however, just because you put it on the map doesn't mean you get it all. Will probably cut down claims a bit, depending on how large you make it.

I'm reluctant to have a defined continent that we simply claim as we go in the matter you had it. I would say that a better tactic is to have people, when they join, claim an area, specifically or nonspecifically, and THEY define what they want to have in their nation, so if someone wants to be mountainous in the East and valley in the West, that's how you mark it. There would still be a defined continent, perhaps even two like Europe and Asia. That's how I picture it anyway. But do what you want, you're the map guy. Come up with the continent(s) and claiming will be open.

That way it's easier to transverse the RP as the members go about.

Problem with multiple continents as I see it is that unless they're pretty darn close to each other, lower tech nations would have a very large problem interacting with other nations, and even the higher tech ones would have issues with invasions.

That's what I meant by "Like Europe and Asia."

I know, it's actually one continent, so a closer anology would be Africa and Eurasia.

Edit: Ok, so you wanted a more mediterainain feel? I have no problem with doing a new map, the only problem would be all the new claims.

However, if you want new map, just let me know, and describe how you envision it. I shall strive to get it done.

My NS pop is about 3.9 billion, but given the primitive nature of Chthlu, I thought a much smaller number would be more appropriate.

Hate to be a pain, but I meant the delta area south of Auldanum down to the coast and the four islands out in the ocean/bay. I was looking at the original map that had deatharon on it. My nation's name is Realm of Chthlu. Thanks again.

Okay, there's been a rather comical mix-up with my concept map on my part. I was presuming she restarted with this thread, which wan't the case. The linked ImageShack map is recognized, and I'm not doing any more concept maps unless Naggeroth's on an absence and wants me to help her out with the map.

Okay, to clear things up, more for me than anything, my claim is the river and the surrounding area south of Ty'noria. Auralinia's is the delta of the river west of Deatharon's claim. Okay, that's cleared up now.

That's another rather comical story. I put my bio in the first post of the Member thread. I wrote it, somehow lost it, didn't realize I lost it, and then realized later that I lost it, wrote it, then made my factbook, then proceeded to get confused with this. It's there.

If it isn't, then ruffus, scuffus, scatamungus.

You got it right....map is good. I'll probably make my first "move" into the delta and take complete control of it as it will provide me with much of the "food" my people need ( swamp creatures, degenerate humans, etc ).

Auralinia, I have an idea for an Rp between our two nations. I was thinking the Imperium is most likely going to be expanding towards the south and west right now. They would want to capture the entirety of the river to reach the sea to build a port and ships. They also would head your way because of rumors of your nation containing elements that could be useful in their plans to end the time of mortals forever.

I was wondering if you would be okay with a RP meeting of my forces reaching your borders?

Also, BTW, I noticed on the map that you already have access to a river that leads to the sea. Maybe instead of a war, how's about an alliance of some kind. I'm essentially a vampire nation, and you have vampires in your nation.

I would request that you sketch roughly where you want on MSN paint, so that when I come home I can simply put in a quick reduction if needed and pretty it up a bit.

I wish I could get my computer to work w/MS Paint, but...So how about I just tell you to add to what is already on the original map? Please include the delta area to the northern border and a chunk to the west of the existing border. I'm the Men of the Night, BTW. Thanks.

The original map shows me with only a portion of the delta. If you could include the entire delta and a little territory to the west of it, that would be fine. A simple line would be great. Whenever you can get to it.

Is it possible to grab the central mountain range, as well as a little bit of land to the south. I’m not looking for a great deal, just something central to set up nest in.

I asked this before, but I'm still don't appear to be on the map. I wish to hold all of the central-southern forest if it's not too much of an imposition.

Could you move Tanal to the east (away from Tya'noria and closer to the Nicsyllvanian Imperium)?
It works better for me if I'm close to multiple nations - and especially trade routes. I can make more money that way, not to mention get critical supplies (like food) more easily.

The Caliphate would enjoy occupying a long stretch of that southern coast, if you'd be so kind. A healthy wedge of that forest would also do us nicely. Thanks.

Oh, and I only divided by ten because my people really depend on number over much else, they reproduce fast and live in high densities. If you have a huge problem with that, I'll knock off the extra zero.

I do it as I notice it. Even in the cases in which I haven't noticed it, I caught it later. So don't say that I target, because I'm irregularly absent-minded.

OK i took the extreme liberty of modifying the map myself adding a bit here and there, suggestion and critisism not only welcome but helpful.

For those wondering those little blue swirls are the five whirpools, four controlled by the HiToSa, Sa territory is not important if another underwater civilization appears then it might be worth putting them on, they just extend a certain amount around each whirl with connecting undercurrents connecting every one to every other one.

I havnt been keeping myself up with the going on in the map thread so... umm.. discussion away.
