[OOC: Ok I haven't RPed for a long time, but heres a little backstory. I want to end in by the destruction of the Reich and the installation of a Sultanate or Republic. You guys are all welcome to come but try not to nuke me or send millions of soldiers. xD Afrika is a island in central Indian ocean about the size of the Arabian peninsula.]
Years of rule under a tyrannical regime can leave people hardened and depressed. In Afrika it is no different. The large Muslim minority is discriminated against and generally form up the low quality army divisions. The Fuhrer for the last 22 years, General Mannbrech, has destroyed endless synagogues, mosques, and other religious institutions. Churches are the only ones exempt to such raids on their religion. The Muslim/Christian tensions began hundreds of years ago, during the settling of Afrika's main islands.
The Turks, trying to establish and new Indian ocean trading empire, for a series of prolonged wars with Dutch and German settlers. After 50 years of war the Dutch we forced to retreat into German protection[1800's age warfare]. The Prussians sent many divisions and ships to protect their newly conquered lands and this cost the Turks greatly. German infantry, cavalry and ships were superior in nearly every way. The Germans liberated Dutchafrikaa withing a year and conquered half of Afrika by the end of the decade. This was enough for the Sultan, having expended too many forces to Afrika and now at war with Russia, they had to end the war, and as soon as possible. The Germans forced the Turks to cede all lands north of the Essen River. This reduced the Turk area to about 20% of Afrika, while they made up 60% of the population.
About a hundred years later, the German population formed an independent government and their own militia. Germany was deeply involved in a European war[WW2] and Afrika wiggled free. Of course they were punished after the war for sending soldiers to help the Germans in Africa. They lost their control of the northern Outremer Islands to the United Kingdom. Soon afterwards the Indians were given the islands and this caused a micro war. The Afrikaan Militia destroyed the Indian's army on the islands and forced a fast surrender. At the time the people of Afrika were still a Republic. This changed when the Soviets funded a communist rebellion, this rebellion The Afrikaan People's Republic[APR], was brutal and took ten years for the government to suppress them. This cost Afrika too much, and allowed extremists to take control. The Afrikaan Military Empire[AME] took control and formed Afrika into a military regime with over 12 million soldiers, becoming one of the most power in the world. The AME brought prosperity to Afrika and spent more on defense than the Soviet Union and the USA combined. This was not going to last long.
Capitalists were angry, as were the communists. The dictatorship fell over like an oversized elephant - destroying all below it. The Communist and Capitalists fought a long war, and the same process was repeated, a strong military dictatorship rose from the ashes. However this time, they had allied with the capitalist 'scourge' to form a large army and economy. They oppressed all non-German, non-Christians, and all 'wimps' who refused to serve the Emperor, education was reformed as brain-washing. Education and breeding programs were common, the master race must be pure. Children were brain washed to put thy Lord ,and thy Emperor over all the evils of life. The military reached over 15 million and the economy skyrocketed past the US and the Soviets, again combined. Companies were given control of key provinces, the military had entire provinces dedicated to its programs of death. And the government had one province, containing the largest city, Taljana. Taljana had over 100 million inhabitants, whom 60%+ did not like the current government, rebellions were commonplace and this caused the Reich to become a super powerful military power and oppress them all without restraint. This gave the army control of most of the nation and now it was secure as it could possibly be. Over time the army dwindled as the people became assimilated to the Reich. It numbers only 5 million on the eve of the rebellion, 3.5 million of these active 5 million soldiers are muslims or muslim supporters.
Now currently the people are angry, the Reich has oppressed them for 40 years. The capitalists lost control, and the military has all of the nation under its "Iron Wall and Will". Now was the time for reform and the Muslim minority was about to get its leader. A young man named Suleiman Ganges, who was 24 years old and has served the Emperor for 6 years in the Reichswehr. His father forced him to join the Officer Corps, oddly enough he turned out to enjoy it. The wars he fought in got him promoted up to "Arch General of the Reich" the third highest rank. At the time though he was tired of commanding and took an interest in his history. It turned out his mother was German and his father was a former Turkish Rebel. He did research and discovered the proud history of the Muslims of Afrika, and wondered why a minority of one and a half billion had no rights. He was allowed to join the officer corps only because his mother was a purebred German. She had all female benefits revoked for marrying the man she loved, because he was a Turk. This pushed him too far, he began organizing the military's Turkish divisions.
Ganges rerouted supplies destined for the Reichswehr and other elite divisions to the Turkish armies in the south. This finally allowed the Turkish armies some equipment, and by the year 2006, General Ganges organized a revolt. Withing the first month the Muslim areas were free of the Reich's military. Ganges had drew the front lines, from the Essen River to the siege of Taljana and its inhabitants revolting. The Reich was dying, and the military was split in half. The Turk's were over equipped after stealing supplies for months. The only divisions of the Reich standing fully equipped were the Elite Gauds which were outnumber 2 to 1. But they had never lost a war and never planned to, the war was just beginning. Now the Turks had the upper hand and more supplies, more vehicles, guns, ships, aircraft, and infantry. They marched onwards trying to replace all loses and now the only thing that could stop them would be a Reichswehr mobilization, of unprecidented numbers.
To the world of free people:
No longer can the people of Afrika be oppressed, no longer can we have our land raped by the evil that is the Reich. No more should we be oppressed no long shall we be taken advantage of. And for no reason should the foreign community support the evilness that is the Reich and Mannbrech! Afrika needs rights and it needs someone to give them to them!
