New Dracora

All around the nation the naval and air forces of New Dracora were proving their domiance.
In the north the unorthodox attack methods of the New Dracorian Navy proved to be decisive. The enemy had been prepared for the standard gun and missile battle... instead they got multi-directional missile attacks, napalm, armour piercing railgun penetrators and sub surface keel breakers. The unquenchable fires brought on by insidious new dracorian chemicals raised fear and confusion while providing the nearby NDN ships with perfect targets. They never stood a chance.
Meanwhile in the skies the technological disparity couldn't be more clear. The Green Lanternians sent wave after wave of bomber aircraft protected by the much vaunted F-4 fighter. But despite the apparent benefits of the F-4, the veteren of the american vietnam war proved to be no match against the modern F-38, let alone the state-of-the-art F/A-202's and 303's. Like lambs to the slaughter wave after wave of outdated aircraft poured from Green Lanternian bases hoping to overwhelm their foe with sheer numbers. But all they achieved was to prove cannon fodder. Loss ratios for the Green Lanternians in the sky was horrific.
However, while Green Lanternian Forces in the north were lining up to die, they provided an essential distraction as other special task groups rounded on different parts of the New Dracorian Nation. In the west, such sneak attempts had been thwarted as Green Lanternian forces were intercepted by the Asgarnian Naval Force as they tried to round Asgarnieu for an attack on the southern tip of New Dracora. Another, most likely a part of the nuclear torpedo attack earlier took a gamble and went straight down hoping to find a nuclear void instead running head first into pursuing NDN anti-sub attack groups. The new dracorian frigates had a tough time, but the roving wolfpacks following the group did not. In the end the small power punching Green Lanternians were decimated. In desperation, those ships armed with nuclear weapons fired a missile salvo at Monato... they were quickly shot down.
But it would be to the north east where New Dracorians would find failure. As battlegroups in the eastern ocean steamed north at full speed to fill the void created by the momentus naval battle further west, they would arrive to find not one but two Green Lanternian battle groups in full engagment with the few NDN forces that had been left behind to protect the strait. By then however, the enemies true plan came to light...
In a clear demonstration of the Green Lanternian administrations madness, the forces off the northern cape launched a large scale nuclear attack. At the time there was no way of telling if the missiles were nuclear but they were fired upon with much gusto none the less. Still, some made it through...
In the northern holiday city of Tijbiza, the crowds that had gathered on the beaches earlier to watch the masses of aircraft engage off shore had long since departed. Driven away by local security forces, most people were now presently cowing in various bomb shelters while military forces patrolled the grounds above. These brave young men and women of New Dracora would be the first to die...
The first set of missiles to approach the mainland were met with anti-missile fire from the few various gun pods that had been setup by the military. The simple electronically fired boxes managed to down a number of missiles but too few of them had been deployed to be completely effective. In the end only a few Green Lantern missiles made it through the incomplete missile shield, but that was all that was needed.
Later news channels across New Dracora would broadcast several different pieces of video footage of the mushroom clouds from the airbursts over Tijbiza and the nearby military base. On the ground those soldiers lucky enough to be in downtown Tijbiza were killed instantly as the ultra-intense fireball literally vaporised their bodies. Under the mighty detonation buildings turned to ash, roads into rivers, and vehicles into dust. Further away the crumbling streets were filled with endless screams as soldiers and civilians alike were boiled alive as their bodies spontaneously combusted... again, mercy for the soldiers the weapon gave them a quick death as the airburst shockwave ripped through moments later and tore their burning forms to pieces. The people in the bomb shelters were not so lucky, protected from the blast they burned to death - those that survived the burning, had to endure hours of agony as their grievous injuries teamed up with the background radiation to slowly kill them. Further away, the weapon unleashed it's most cruel fate yet on the people of Tijbiza...
It left survivors.
