Medieval Earth (Anyone? Anyone?)

I've come and gone in the NS universe, and while enjoying every second of it, I never found anything to truly pique my interest. I've been in a couple of Earth sims, and while they too were fun, it didnt quite fit the bill. I grew a little tired with little Johnny deciding HIS air force had heat-seeking bullets with atom bomb attachments. Furthermore, my personal desire to dominate the world always coincided with history.
So, without further ado, I present the idea of a Medieval Earth, providing an engaging, rational and historical element to the NS earth world. Obviously, it would be more limited than earth, mainly focusing on europe, asia and africa, although if enough people are interested the far east could be added.
The question is, would anybody be interested? I'm aiming for a semi-realistic go at this; the king of england shouldnt be invading japan or discovering gunpowder in 950 AD. Battles should have some rhyme and reason to them (equation or something) instead of the first person rping "i blew you up".
this is also only gonna working if people who are interested step up. I've tried to do maps before, and failed miserably. I can give some time but not constant, so another mod would be nice. IN the end, I hope this can start something truly interesting.
If enough people seem interested ( a dozen or so to start) ill start a real right away.

There was one of these created like a year ago by Phillanchez after he left the NS forums to create the DU, I played as the Kievan Rus, I'd like to know a little more before commiting myself, mainly the time period, if it's avaliable at the time set I'd like to claim the Kievan Rus, oh and as Ostea has said, there's a PT earth not based upon RL taking shape.

I'm definately interested! I love MIddle Ages tech. I tried joining a previous PT Rp but it became more 'fantasy' then Past tech.

My nation is built for Medieval-like tech. Those who want to fight me on my terrain, go ahead and try.

I was planning on having the starting period be 1087, the year William the Conqueror died. This way, the tensions in the Holy Land exist for realism purposes without entagling anyone into any engagements.
AS for the game play, I was thinking of having dukes and possible counts under kings, since there are only so many kingdomes. Dukes were semi-autonomus; they could attack other duchies, or counts those of other faiths fairly easily, but still had to fight for their leige. It would add an intersting demension.
And for sure, no magic or anything. No merlin, im talking strictly medieval

Yeah, i saw your Quest for Power RP, and it looks cool. I am just more interested in a historical standpoint (maybe a defunct imagination? I was probably dropped as a baby).
Hope it turns out well, but if for some reason it doesn't, feel free to help mod this thread, since it looks like you have the time and energy. And feel free to join either way
