OOC: This is a thread for the various slang terms used in your nation. If your nation uses a constructed language, translations of the slang terms and their general meanings are desired, though not required.

Ally - Prounounced all-EE. An Allanean, from the Kahanistanian English pronunciation of "ally" as "all-EE," and the fact that it is also short for "Allanean." More popular after Kahanistan's alliance with Allanea.

CAD - Crappy Amestrian Driver. Used as a derogatory term for Amestrian immigrants to Kahanistan, who come from a society that does not allow cars and therefore the people are stereotyped as unable to drive.

Example: "Some damn CAD cut me off in traffic three times today!"

The connection with the abbreviation for the Coalition Against Democracy, headed by the Holy Empire of Doomingsland, is purely coincidental.

Corpse on a Stick, Meatsicle, Shish Kebab - A victim of Freekish impalement.

Death Tower - A Kahanistanian burial tower. Due to lack of space, Kahanistanians bury their dead in tall memorial towers featuring numerous morgue-like drawers containing coffins, crematory urns, and cryonic equipment. Some go underground rather than above ground to protect them in case of war or other disaster, but the term, "Death Tower," is still in wide use. The proper term is "cemetery" or "crypt."

Freak - Written slang term, a derogatory term for a Freekish person. Pronounced identically to "Freek," but the speaker's tone of voice or general context can identify if someone is using a slur.

Fugazi - Mad, screwed up, from the military slang. In civilian use it usually refers to the Kahanistanian general Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Abdullah_Hassan_al-Ghazi), a far-right anti-Amestrian, anti-Freekish, and anti-Xirniumite extremist widely viewed in Kahanistan as insane.

Example: "General Fugazi wants to turn ULE City into a lake."

Gloomy Mark - A nickname for Kahanistanian President Marcellus Valens. He is known for his grim, humorless temperament.

HARM Magnet - A ZSU-23-4M Shilka SPAAG, from their vulnerability to Pwnage HARM's.

Josef - A F-35 Lightning II, from the old term "JSF" or Joint Strike Fighter, a common fighter in the Kahanistanian air force.

Merc, Merk - A Merkava tank, widely used by Kahanistanian ground forces. Also called a "Chariot" for the English translation of the Hebrew word.

Pwnage - In addition to the usual English meaning, "totally walloping," in Kahanistanian English the term simply means "crazy" or "nuts."

Shooban-fucker - A member of the Communist Party of Kahanistan. The CPK has lobbied the Supreme Soviet for years to recognize Shoobans (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Shooban) as human.

FUBAR - military slang for an operation gone.. inimaginably and inconceivably horribly wrong. Meaning:

Darky-One who activley does dark magic, or a dark element

Lighty-One who acvitley does light magic and only light magic, or a light element

Holy Freak-Dergatory term for someone who is religious. (Considered a very bigotry term Being religious is a tad rare in M.S.)

Half-Breed-One who is part Animal (i.e. Neko)

Elly-Short term for an Elemental Person

Wiz-Short term for wizard

Sorcey-Short Term for A Sorcere/Sorceress, also short for the country name or nationality

M.S.-Short term for the country

Magi-Simpley a person who does any magic, also short for the country name or nationality

Upy-Up tight person or teacher

Nazi-Really uptight sometimes seemingly tyranical person

Emp- Short Term for Empire or Imperial related matters.

Watter Hugger-Semi dergatory term for someone who lives on the water, or just loves the ocean

Muggle-Considered a dergatory term for a non-magical person

Zapper-Used to describe a Thunder Element

Windy-Describes a Wind Element

Firery-Fire Element

Icey-Ice Element

Snowy-Snow Element

Earthy-Eath Element

Watery-Water Element

Airy-Air Element

Phantom-Spirit or Supernatural capablities; one who masters invsiblity

Metalman-Meltal Element; alchmest

NudyWannabe-Used to describe someone who always wears really skimpy clothes

Country Kid-Used to describe a farm kid

Skank-Someone who sleeps around a lot

Caddies: A degratory term toward a person of Parthian, Doomingsladian, Transalvainian, Borman. Basically anyone who's nation is part of the CAD.

Javs: Short for the Javelin Strike Vanisher battlemechs.

Wops - General (incorrect) pejorative for Pacitalians
Packies - Sarzonian pejorative for Pacitalians
"Some two-bit banana republic" - Pacitalia

'Mollys' - A pejorative term for any resident of the Dublin star system, though now more commonly associated with the Dublin-based terrorist organisation of the same name - a name adopted, no doubt, in defiance. Usually used by New London residents.

'Grubs' - A pejorative term for any resident of the Leeds star system. Refers to the extensive pollution of the system, and the lines of work most of its residents are usually involved in. Usually used by New London residents.

'Glowies' - A pejorative term for any resident of the Leeds star system. Probably refers to the myth that all residents of the Leeds system glow in the dark because of the extensive uranium mining that takes place in the system. The alarming story a few years back of BMM workers being housed on known radioactive waste dumps saw a resurgence of the term.

'Bumpkins' - A pejorative term for the rural residents of Planet Cambridge.

'Boffins' - A casual term for the residents of Planet Cambridge University, who make up almost 30% of the planet's population.

'Manchester Mongrels' (or just 'mongrels') - A pejorative term for any resident of the Manchester system, a remote and unimportant system whose limited population is considered an undesirable social caste. The Bretonian equivalent of hillbillies, essentially.

'Goths' - A pejorative term for any resident of Planet New London. Thought to refer to the gothic architecture of the capital, and the traditional style of wearing darker clothes.

'Smokies' - A pejorative term for any resident of Planet New London. Probably refers to the myth that all New London residents have darkened skin caused by the air pollution the planet traditionally suffers from.

'Flower Power' - A reference to the Green Gaian terrorist organisation, who aren't often taken seriously.

'The Menace' - Primarily used by experienced transport ship pilots, to refer to the Corsair pirate organisation.

'Doughnut' - A casual reference to any Jump Gate in Bretonian space.

'Big Eight' - Casual rhyming slang in reference to any Trade Lane Gate. Term originated in New London and fell into common use Bretonia-wide.

'Flying Pig Brigade' - A pejorative term for the Bretonia Police Authority. Who, incidentally, do a lot of flying.

'Fish o' Doom' - Refers to the Victoria-class Battleship, a common sight along trade routes in Bretonian space, and its passing resemblance to a large and common species of fish in the northern seas of New London.

'Badlands' - An affectionate and understated term for the ice nebula of Cambridge. A dense field of ice boulders and frequent electro-static storms make for highly dangerous flying conditions, hence the term 'badlands'. Official name CS-SPN-06.

The Marching Dead - Kreigsmarine Slang for Sardaukar Terror Troopers

Robocop - Thought Criminals Slang for Capitol Police

Example: "Oh shit, Here comes Robocop"

Ground Pounders - Kreigsmarine Slang for Sturmpanzer Class Capitol Police

(Often, Sturmpanzers will march great distances in huge formations, hence the term ground pounders)


Black-bagged - Thought Criminal Slang for someone who is taken away for Interrogation

Re-education - Secret Police slang for Executions, or torture, it can mean whichever and is used quite loosely by Reichmarshals and Kreigsmarines alike

ED209 - Thought Criminal Slag for when The Corporation deployes Sardaukar on active police duties, (Often, Sardaukar will execute someone on the street even though they have produced the right documents, or have done nothing wrong at all, Refers to the early 20th Century Film, "RoboCop" Where an experimental Policing Unit, Kills a man during testing, after not recognising the subjects response to the machines Commands)

BlackJacks - Thought Criminal Slang for Reichmarshals, refering to either their Black Jackboots or their Black jackets, can mean either

Gergriner- Deragatory term donating any citizen from a GASN nation, comes from the Toopoxican Latin translation of the title name to GGRN.
Silinidj- An unintelligent working class person usually with great strength or physical fitness, in the military the term is also used to describe a "footslogger"
Pyglier- Military code for a Cyborg, contraction of the Toopoxican Latin word Folitoni Pygmalion (Toopoxican Cyborg/Robot) shrunk to Pyglier, also describes a typically lethargic person.

House Dwelers (Casa Dweler)-Ones who seldom go outdoors

Crusifixer-Fairly deragatory term for an atheist (Seen in the south west) The term comes from the idea being Atheist is a painfull thing to God

Cross Lover (Amante transversal) Term for a person who is devoutly religious

Shore Keeper (keeper da costa) Term for a light house runner

Storm Junkie (drogadicto de la tormenta) Term for thoes who chase hurricanes or simply love stormy weather

Liberal Trash-(Liberal Lixo) Dergatory term for someone who is very liberal, and makes things that strongly contradict a strong religious base.

Ghost-(Fantasma) Simply a caucasian. Most if not all people in GTI are tan-latino

Fuzz (Pelusa) a police officer

gamer freak (gamer anormal) One who is addicted to videogames

Global Damners Inititave-Refers to the Global Defense Initiave Alliance, and the way they hung Kanami out to dry in the Hanover conflict (Also known as Freedom haters, nazi lovers, aqua haters, magic haters, kurma haters)

British Nazi-Refers to any former Stevid citizen that wasn't a deportee. A dergatory term, invented by teens and adults with bitter resentment over the last two conflicts with Stevid

Club Master-An excllent golfer

Filmie-One who is very intrested in movies

Dirty Shopper-One who either sells, runs, or shops at a porn shop

Dirty Actor-One who performs in a purely pornographic film

Aiza: Pushy military police. Afer Celino Aiza Chavez, ex-People's Security Minister, who ordered military police to crush a huge fascist riot in New Fukuoka, with 1275 dead or injured.

Banana: A Japanese person who acts really white.

Birdshit: Refers to fascist militiamen in the Dallas Exclave.

C-Dub: Somebody who fought with the Tejano Proletariat Army during the Civil War.

Christensen-whore: A fascist, usually also used to describe any kind of rightist. After Brand Christensen, the last president of the hated Social Republic of Texas.

Flan: A Latino who acts really white.

G-Tank: Old, jury-rigged tank used by the TPA during the Civil War, still in limited service with the Tejano People's Guerilla Union.

GWAR-fucker: Anybody who listens to rock music. Inevitably leads to someone calling said rocker a fascist.

Kakumei-chan: Anybody who is an extreme supporter of Chairman Nagaraku. After female Japanese rapper Fujikawa "Kakumei" Ayako, who holds views as mentioned above.

Leftover: A weapon, illegal by Tejano definition, that an ex-TPA civilian is allowed to keep.

Mama-san: Your aunt, or a teenage girl who acts twenty or so years too old for her age.
