The Armed Forces of the Kingdom of the House of James
Kings Standing Army
The Kings Standing Army (KSA) is made up of regiments raised in the provinces that are then given to the King as part of the Duke’s responsibilities and duty as subordinates to him. The King is in overall command of the Army, but rarely executes tactical command which is left to the General-at-Arms. Currently the KSA consists of 14 Regiments from the 8 provinces that make up the Kingdom and a number of auxiliary units that are recruited from throughout the Kingdom. The Regiments are provided to the King based upon the population of the provinces, the larger provinces supply more due to their larger income or population size. These are the forces that are used for expansion, peacekeeping and other international missions.

The Royal Guard
Provincial Forces
The Dukes that hold the governorships of the provinces also have other forces under their command ranging from Regular Regiments to the Civilian Militia. They are provided with funds from the central treasury to fund a single additional Regiment in addition to that which they supply to the King with any other forces that they decide to raise having to be funded from the Dukes own treasury. The Dukes are nominally in command of their own forces but they usually hand operational command to subordinates of the professional officer corps.

Typical Regiment Composition
Rifle/Fusilier Regiment- 1,200 infantrymen split into three 400man battalions. Supported by a 50man HQ Company, 50 Man Machine Gun Company, 56 Man Mortar Company, 125 Man Artillery Battalion (3 Batteries).
Guards Regiment- 1,500 infantrymen split into three 500man battalions. Supported by a 50man HQ Company, 50 Man Machine Gun Company, 60 Man Mortar Company, 140 Man Reinforced Artillery Battalion (4 Batteries).
Lancers/Tank Regiment- 120 Challenger II Tanks, 200 Warrior AFV, 56 SP 155mm Guns, 42 MLRS
Larger Units
Several Regiments can be combined in order to form a Division, recently seen by the push North into the Eninmoore from Drake Province utilising several combined arms units including air power in the form of attack helicopters and close support aircraft. There are no set divisional formations, however nine seperate divisional command posts do exist along with three Corps command posts and one Army Command Post based at the Household Barracks near the capital.
I Corps Command answers directly to Prince Simon, the eldest of the Kings children, who often attends staff meetings and has a keen interest in the Armed Forces. The honorary rank of General-at-Arms is actually well suited to the man who shows real tactical and strategic understanding and talent very similar to his younger brother and father.
II Corps is nominally under the command of General Lord Johnathon Fraiser, however with a third of its combat strength currently deployed to Khurzav and Lord Fraiser's current state of health the formation more often would take orders directly from the General-at-Arms.
III Corps marches under the banner of Prince James, the Kings youngest son and middle child of three. Like his brother he shows a real talent for command and at age 21 has recently been appointed the Honouray title of Defender of the Realm, a command held by many of his forefathers at some of the Kingdoms greatest victories throughout history.

Undergoing aqcuisition of both F-22A and F/A-18H Aircraft along with replacements for the currently used Gazelle attack helicopter.
