Unification (PT Nation Intro)

United Readania

For many long centuries the land now called United Readania was divided into many different tribes. The tribes would constantly battle for supremecy over each other resulting only in the gradual decline of their own power. Amongest the chaotic wars stood indifferent the mighty city-state of Liadon. The mighty city had stood since well before recorded time and had always stood neutral in the conflicts surrounding it. This changed when the Liadonians noted a change in the dynamics of the surrounding tribes in the year 5 Pre-Unification.

The Ungero Tribe was lead by the charismatic and intelligent Warlord Rannos had for many years been the current dominate tribe, however Rannos had foresight. He knew that the battling tribes should be unified and the knowledge of the Liadonians be shared. Thus through persuasion of word and steel Rannos forged a mighty alliance of clans and tribes promising each a province for their own. When nearly all the tribes were joined under the Ungeros, Rannos marched a mighty army to the gates of Liadon and demanded parley. The Liadonians though defended by high walls and mighty battlements, saw the mighty army before their city and invited in the warlord. The terms brought by Warlord Rannos were merely for them to join his empire as its capital, but the citizens of Liadon valued independence above all else and gratiously refused. Dismayed, Rannos left the city and prepared his army for a lengthy siege.

It was within weeks of the siege's beginning in 4 PU that something occured that changed things forever in the lands of Readania. Out from the unexplored forests of the east came a vast host lead by a vicious tyrant name Razhag of the Goranthorn Clan. The tyrant came determined to raze all in his path and create his empire from the ashes. The Liadonians and Rannosian barbarians saw that neither could hold out alone against their common foe joining together to fight Razhag's horde.

The Battle of Liadon was said to have lasted four days, but in the end Razhag and his horde were left in shambles. The Liadonian's former foe proved his worth in battling the horde supposedly slaying thirty men. Thus, the city-state of Liadon agreed to Rannos' terms and became the capital of the Republic of United Readania.

Within four years Liadon was repaired and a palace was built. There Rannos the Great was coronated as the first Executor of United Readania. The Unifying became the time from which all following years were recorded. The Executor's first order was to establish contact with surrounding nations, their newly born country would need allies...

(Bit of history onto the creation of Readania. Seems that past tech isn't really popular here but I thought it worth a shot to post an intro and prehaps get some feedback.)

OOC: I'm still kinda figuring out how I'm going to run United Readanian but you're certainly a possible ally (or enemy maybe...) Kinda hoping for more feedback before the day's end.

Okay so you have history, but how about you let us inside your culture.

OOC: Okay then, I'll see what I can do for culture. But I'd kinda like to know of any other PT or fantasy PT nations. Knowing of the PT enviroment would help with cohesion.

Well every PT nation is diffrent. I mean with mine, it's sort of a strictly conservative Principality.

Electricity in Kurona is almost unheard of. Especially on farmes. Cars are also in non-existance here. We have some modern weaponry.
But we have running water and indoor plumbing.

But you can read more on my NSwiki article

Well I was thinking more swords and arrows sort of past tech, where the most advanced piece of weaponry is the trebuchet or maybe a primitive cannon. Oh, and your link leads to an error.

Well that's fine, I was giving you an example of my nation.

Oh and if the link Errors, try to refresh the page, or open it again, in a new window.

Otherwise just go the main page of NSwiki and try looking up Kurona from there.
