The very latest from our crackpot team of scientist, Project S has been released to public discresion. We will also be selling the rights to this fine peice of equipment.

Project S is a rifle designed to fire half inch long hexagonal sticks, or shards, of glass. It is 1.5 feet long stock to barrel and weighs about 1.23 lbs. when fully loaded. It fires 100 RPM and is semi-automatic but can be easily adapted to fully automatic. It takes a 50 round 2 stack box clip and has 2 safety locks.

We price this at $150 although you may sell it for more.

(OOC: How does one fire a shard of glass without a contained propellent, and how would a rifle barrel be hexagonal shaped on the interior while still possessing rifling?)

(ooc: the term rifle is used loosly. And there is a propelent, a gas is highly presurized, then released into the loaded barrel, this all happening in a fraction of a seconed. any other questions?)

A very light rifle.

I take it the hexagonal barrel twists, therefore creating the rifling as such, i believe it has been done before.

However the use to glass seems pointless to us, as it can't penetrate armour etc so well and would simply shatter at high speeds. Interesting concept though and cheap.

OOC: I'd imagine it's used for torture. That weapon would be a bit naff for shooting people shooting back with proper bullets, but it would maim prisoners and the unarmed horribly, and Neo-Erusea's order is 'internal security...'

yes torture would be its main use although its a good mob deturent as well, fire a couple of those into a crowd then no one wants to riot. and if it hits something hard shrapnel would go everywhere. As in if it hits armour, hundreds of small pieces of glass go everywhere.

And in the right hands it could be lethal.

Its an interesting concept as we said, and a good cheap alternative to police involved in riot control. However we have a surplus of older (although highly capable rifles) which do the job for us(they would only be a waste of money if not used) and so will not make any purchases, but we do believe for any nation looking for a cheap alternative weapon for their law enforcement forces or such forces it is a great weapon.
