I dont know how many people have seen the movie '28 days later' but it is somthing I knew would make a good RP thread. I originally wanted to make this into a large multithread RP with a diffrent RP in every area such as the UK, The America's, Europe, Asia and so on. I was just wondering how many people would be behind this idea or would everyone want one just in one single country were everyone RP's. The thread will get going as soon as I get more interest in it.

I'd be interested, would it be single characters or factions?
Vaguely interested, but couple questions(as while never seen the movie just read a moderately detailed summery).
How close would the Infected be to the movie versions?
How would the 'Rage' have spread beyond Britian?

Would have taken just one infected person on a ferry to France for it to spread. This idea is so much better then that of '28 Weeks Later'.

From the information I gathered, everyone on the ferry would be dead before it got to France and the ferry would have likely crashed, of course I forgot about the chunnel which would solve the problem of it spreading throught Asia, Africa and Europe. I'm wondering about how it would spread to the Americas and Australia.

The film talked about symptoms in New York, ala
"Before the TV and radio stopped broadcasting there were reports of infection in Paris and New York. We didn't hear anything more after that."

In otherwords you just read the imdb forum? Its possible for everyone to be infected on the ferry yes but dying would only happen once they've starved to death like at the end of the film. The ferry could run aground at some point and the infected people would be able to get to land.

What the heck is imdb? I got my info from Wikipedia.
As I said, I forgot about the Chunnel which would provide a route to continental Europe, Africa and Asia.
Also if they don't eat, they should only survive around three days as it would follow that they wouldn't drink and die of dehydration.

And the average ferry trip between England and France is a few hours. By hovercraft its alot left, I think theres still hovercraft services from Dover.
Really you should watch the film for yourself before diving into a thread about it. If the Wiki article calls them zombies, your being misled, thats the problem with Wikipedia sometimes the people who type up parts get things wrong.
Actually it calls them Infected, due to a virus called 'Rage'. While some wiki articles are off base, this one seems fairly accurate and comprehensive.

As I've mentioned a few times, there is also the Chunnel which makes the question about ferries and infecting Europe, Asia and Australia a relatively mute point.
Did the movie at any point mention how the Infected were getting sufficiant liquid to stay alive?

Oh good, one thing I can't stand is people calling them zombies.
As for the Chunnel, the Frech would have a shoot to kill policy on anything emerging at their end. But of course blood flying everywhere could infect those soldiers stationed there.
No it didn't mention how they stayed hydrated, possible something in the virus itself.

Outside of that issue, I'm still interested in joining in the idea.

Well they do die eventually, could be down to dehydration they never actually mention it. You just see a few infected people dying at the end.
