Premier Robertson was killed earlier today when the tilt-wing jet aircraft he was returning to Izistan from Space Union in encountered a flock of migratory geese in a cloud bank over the Vogl mountains, several of which were sucked into the intakes and caused severe damage to the turbines. Despite heroic efforts by the pilot to get the aircraft safely to the ground, the plane crashed around twenty minutes from the nearest airfield, the Fort Hanl Aerospace Field. By the time rescue units from Hanl arrived in the area, and frantic despite efforts by the surviving passengers and crew, Robertson and two other passengers (Economic Minster Joseph Henning and Minister of Industry Percival Koller) succumbed to their injuries before the rescuers arrived, Minister of Trade Bernard Korbel was reportedly flown to Izistan City's General Hospital and his condition is currently listed as “critical”.

A minute of silence was announced four hours after the accident by the government and followed by all Izistani media outlets. The premiers funeral is scheduled to be held in one week, details have not been released regarding the Minsters funeral plans.

The government has been in a state of panic from the moment news of the death reached them. Until a election can be called, Parliament needs to assign a individual as a temporary Premier until then. This caused a massive and chaotic argument in the Parliament building with reportedly several fist fights breaking out among members of various parties. Robertson temporary successor has been announced as William Smith, Minister of Administration until elections can be called. This choice has been criticized by some of the more militaristic parties as Smith is a noted anti-military activist and protested the purchase of the Hood class supercapital warship, Izistan, by holding a nude line dance with several other protesters in front of Parliament until he was arrested for indecent conduct.

That night. *dumdumduuum*

Smith relaxed in what was his office now, a huge and stupid looking grin plastered all over his face. After all, he'd just been handed the job he'd always wanted, even if it was only “temporary” (he'd find a way to fix that, he had powerful friends). Hell, perhaps he could see the Izistan scrapped before his was forced out of office, which would make the whole thing worth his time.

As he sat back in the chair, an explosion rocked the parliament building. He managed to reach a window in time to see black uniformed soldiers pouring through a breach in the security wall surrounding the building. The crackle of gunfire reached his ears now as he realized just who these intruders were.

The black uniform denoted Internal Security operators. The agency that was supposed to be loyal to whatever government was in power. What the hell did they think they were doing!?

A pounding at the door meant that they had already got past the security, or ad they had already infiltrated the security? Smith spun around in terror as a operator kicked the door open and walked in, BPSMG at the ready, in this case, aimed at Smith's face.

“Just what the fuc-” Smith was cut off as a three round burst of high velocity 8x30mm rounds painted the wall with gray matter and blood. The operator admired his work for a moment, but spun around to salute the figures entering the room.

“At ease detective-operator. You may go rejoin your squad now.” At this the operator left the room, and Detective-Colonel Isbrand Zedlacher examined the bloody ruin of Smith's face. After a moment he spat at it and turned to one of his escorts. “Send in the cleaners will you? Those brains might leave a stain. Oh. And get those prisoners moving. And somebody tell von Falkenhausen to secure the cities- ”

Izistan had gone from a democracy to something.

[I'm sure I could make a whole RP about the new government but I can't thanks to school and writers block. In short, its called the Directorate, consists of folks from the military and some folks from the government who were good at the government. Its a lot more militaristic and imperialistic then Izistani governments have traditionaly been, also keen on high technology and conservative economic policies (money makes the world go round)]

Sirs,

Starblaydia notes with sadness the death of yet another great leader within Atlantian Oceania. First our own beloved leader, Lord-Protector Tiberius Starblayde - may his soul forever rest - then Autokrator Titus Drax of Hypocria, President Bren of Nedalia and now your own Premier.

In these times of peril in our region, governments of all colours must remain calm and focussed to achieve their aims. May your nation find transition as swift and simple as our own did.

On behalf of Lady-Protector Viannor Starblayde
Lord Isaac M.C. Chisoko
Foreign Minister

The Nedalian people would like to show their solidarity with the Izistani people, and thus will hold a nation-wide minute of silence at 1 PM to show respect to your fallen leader. May the AO see better times, and may Izistan continue to follow the path to greatness.
