Yes, the 6 year New Aushan general elections are near. New Ausha has its troubles, and each party has something too offer. Of course, an endorsment from a King, Queen, Prince, Princess, President, Chancellor, or any other international figurehead, certainly helps. That is exactly what each party is looking for.

Major issues in New Ausha:

-National Debt

-Universal Healthcare

-Smoking/Narcotics

-Immigration managment

-Closing hydro-power plants

-High taxes

-Road quality

Incumbent:

CCLP (Confederation of Conservative Libertarian Parties)

Promises: Too manage foreign debt, by cutting millitary some 20%. Agrees to maintain universal healtcare. Offers less strict regulations on hydro power industry, as an incentive. Upholds anti-narcotic laws.

ASP (Allied Socialist Parties)

Promises: Too kill then foreign debt by a slash in law and order, and millitary. About 15% each. Will maintain unviversal healthcare. Legalize cannabis, for medicianal purposes. Agrees to mobilized more SBMS (State Border Managment Service) at New Aushan ports, too maintain order in immigration. Agrees to re-build major highways, and add more provincial roads.

Liberal Party

Promises: Foreign debt can be killed with a cut in millitary. 10%. Cannabis will be legal. Universal healthcare will remain. Stricter regulation on industry. More public transportation, along with better roads.


Republican Union (first time on the ballot)

Promises: Foreign debt can be killed, by increasing free trade, along with a cut in law and order, and millitary (3% each) More privatization on hydro power, along with looser regualtions, too save industry. Taxes will be cut.(1.5-3.5% in general) Stricter immigration code. A small cut in welfare budget (2-6%) too fix roads. Universal healthcare, except for New Aushas top 10% (richest citizens) who are more than able too pay.


New Aushan National Party (NP)

Promises: Foreign Debt must be destroyed with hgiher taxes on the wealthy. Universal healthcare, must be suspended. 80% of New Aushans are eligible, the 20% wealthier classes must pay. Roads will be re-built. Public transportation budget will be raised. Law and order will be cut 6%. Medical Cannabis legal. Hydro power must see a shift in ownership. 30% state, 70% private (currently 55% state, 45% private)

The parties continue to campaign fiercly, with international endorsments, causing the polls too rise and fall. With election day coming up, the nation waits eagerly. More recently, the republicans and nationalists have jumped ahead. This could mean another 6 years of right-wing polotics for New Ausha.
