The Queen sat on her throne with at her Right Hand Side her husband Hendrik of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and on her left hand side Prime Minister Abraham Kuyper. They all smiled as the Japanese Emperor himself entered the room. They settled down after everyone had something to drink and then the conferance began.

We think that 2 points is a bit low for such a strategic possesion as West Timor. We are sad to inform the Portugese Government that we cannot agree with the sale of West Timor.

The Dutch are politely asked what price for West Timor they would think appropriate. The Portugese are somewhat confused over why the Dutch think of West Timor as a strategic location, considering the rest of Indonesia is also owned by the Dutch.

The Dutch answer politely but firmly that West timor is not for sale at the moment. The Strategic Position we talk about is that the Island is located on the crossraods between East Asia, the Pacific, and the Indian Ocean.

The Portugese thank the Dutch for their time and apologize for their insistiveness.
Some minor officials grumble about how it is rightfully Portugese territory anyway, but they are firmly silenced by the more experianced diplomats.

Sun Yat-Sen asks the French government for permission to enter the country and speak to the Overseas Chinese community there (no matter how small) and non-Chinese sympathizers in Amsterdam and the Hague while he is there for the WZO meeting.

It has been decided by numerous players, and more importantly GB and LR that the Dutch Government selling its Pacific possessions for a pittance would never happen, there are far to many forces in Holland opposed to such action for that divergence to ever arise (it be like America selling New York back to the British).
