The king has appointed out two new members of the government's defense-group:

Rav Aluf (Lieutenant General) Dan Halutz, IDF Chief of the General Staff
Ephraim Halevy, Director of Mossad

The three other members of the group are the King himself, General Carl Hamilton (Secretary of Defense) and Åke Stålhandske (Secretary of Foreign Affairs).

And if there is any special reason to the group's meeting, they may invite the governor of the governate in question:

Israel: Inbar Hebel
Algeria: Imamu Adisa
Tunisia: Emeka Idowu Olujimi Mosi Nkemdire
Niger: Adebowale Taonga Tatenda
Nigeria: Obi Tau Uzoma

And according to the growing tourism-industry in Kopparbergs, the king has appointed out a Secretary of Tourism: Anton Sidengren. His first mission will be to convince the tourist business that we guarantee their safety whilst they are on vacation somewhere in the Kingdom. Due to the disturbances around the Red Sea lately, fewer tourists than usual has visited Israel, and Sidengren has to make something to increase it again.

In the Governmental building, Tel-Aviv Israel

"Call in the National Security Council immediately, we're having something really important to discuss." said King Carl Gustav XXI to his secretary.
"And tell Mr. Lundwall to participate in the meeting, too! We'll start in ten minutes." he added. Joar Lundwall, the Secretary of Finance was not an ordinary member of the NSC, but now and then he was participating in the meetings.

The members of the National Security Council of Kopparbergs are:

King Carl Gustaf XXI, Head of the State
Rav Aluf (Lieutenant General) Dan Halutz, IDF Chief of the General Staff
Ephraim Halevy, Director of Mossad (The Intelligence Service)
General Carl Hamilton, Secretary of Defense
Åke Stålhandske, Secretary of Foreign Affairs

----

Ten minutes later, in the NSC's meeting room.

"Welcome, gentlemen. We're having a couple of issues to discuss here today. First, I want Dan Halutz to tell me about our actual number of combat ready troops in Algeria and Israel." said the King.

"Thank you, sir" said Halutz. He continued "In Israel we're having about 1.9 million troops, whereof about 300,000 troops are located in Jordan and Syria at the moment. In Algeria we're having 2.1 million troops. Every single reserve is in duty. We're moving even more troops from Algeria to Israel."

"Okay, that's a lot of troops, no strange it's so expensive." said the King. "But I understand they're necessary. And with our new plan, you can tell the troops from Algeria to turn back to Algeria Mr. Halutz, the troops in Israel will handle this on their own."

"Excuse me, sir?" said Dan Halutz. "Do you want me to cancel the troop movement?" He was surprised.

"Yes, you heard me. I've discussed the next issue with Mr. Hamilton, and he told me that we can handle the situation with the troops already in Israel." answered Carl Gustaf XXI.

"Okay, I'll send out the new orders as soon as we're finished here. But what's the next issue?" said Halutz.

"I was just coming to that point. Listen carefully now everybody. Yesterday, I had a serious discussion with General Hamilton, and he told me that this is viable. As you probably know we have tried to establish diplomatic connections with Morocco, but they have refused to answer our calls. We have tried to influence them to stop the drug trading from Morocco to Algeria, but they have done nothing. Now we have the answer to their mysterious behavior. There has been a coup in Rabat, and the government has fallen. There are a lot of disturbances in the country, no one is really controlling the police and the military. It seems to me that the drug dealers has taken the power in Morocco, and we must act – and that fast!" said the King. Everybody was listening carefully.

"Okay, so what do you want us to do?" asked Halutz.

"You should give your troops 24 hours to prepare an full scale invasion of Morocco. Cooperate with Ephraim Halevy, he surely has important information about the current state in Morocco. Stålhandske, you may prepare a statement to the world, explaining why we are doing this. Halevy, you should assist Halutz with the planning of the invasion. Hamilton, you're going to help Halevy and Halutz with the plans. Any questions?" said the King.

Mr. Lundwall, the Secretary of Finance, opened his mouth for the first time of the meeting. "I thought we should talk about the current situation with the economy? I'm having a suggestion we really should discuss."

"Well, that must wait I'm afraid. If there really is an urgent situation with the economy, do whatever you need to keep this running. I'm convinced that this is a temporary situation. You have my permission to raise the VAT with one or two percent, and to lower the social security payments with one or two percent. But make sure that everyone understands that this is a temporarily change that will be restored in a month or two. And do not make larger changes that you need."

"Okay, I must go through some figures. I'll keep you informed" answered Lundwall.

"Okay folks. Thank you for your time. Now you have a mission to make. We'll meet here the first thing in tomorrow morning." ended the King.

We are receiving signals from some sources that both Spain and Portugal are invaded by United Netherlands. We don't know their reasons, but it seems to have been started almost at the same time as our invasion of Morocco. The operation in Morocco is going almost as we planned, and while that's a rather large operation the affects on the campaign in Jordan and Syria is rather small. We're having troops in the western parts of Jordan, and we're continuously patrolling the Jordan air space. In Syria we're having troops in the southern and eastern parts, but nothing in the northern parts. The flight-routes are limited to about the same areas.

We will try to intensify the engagement in both Jordan and Syria, but I'm afraid that we're going to dismiss all reserves that were called in after the Sistani attack. It's very expensive to have this large amount of troops in duty, and our economy is going downwards. I imagine that we're having about one more week with the reserves in duty, after that we'll have to do with our ordinary troops. I think we must have reinforcements from Vineyard to get all of Syria under control.

As I have understood the situation, the King doesn't really have any plans for Jordan and Syria, all I've heard is that he wants to make a deal with Vineyard.

As the defense budget is growing and growing the overall economy in Kopparbergs is getting weaker. I suggest that we, in the light of the fall of the Persian Empire, dismiss the reserve forces as soon as possible. At the moment we're paying around $73,750 million USD per month for the reserves only! If we're going to have the reserves in active duty for a longer period than one month from now, we must make something seriously to keep floating.

Order to Rav Aluf Dan Halutz
FROM: General Carl Hamilton, Secretary of Defense

In a meeting with the King today we decided to dismiss all reserves in active duty in Kopparbergs.

This is the amount of reserves today:

REGION: Troops (Reserves)
Israel: 1,500,000
Algeria: 1,600,000
Tunisia: 300,000
Niger: 500,000
Nigeria: 2,000,000
TOTAL: 5,900,000 reserves

Our ordinary troops as of today are:
Israel: 452,500
The Gaza Strip: 50,000
Algeria: 500,000
Tunisia: 50,000
Niger: 247,500
Nigeria: 2,650,000
TOTAL: 3,950,000

I agree to that it would be nice to have such large amount of troops on a regular basis, but it's very expensive. With this decrease of troops, we're saving around $74 billion USD per month.

We are at the same time going down to DEFCON 2.

We have built a new military base at the island Sal, Cape Verde Islands. The personnel are transferred from different bases in Nigeria. The new base is a large naval base (with submarine capabilities), and an assisting air force base. The name of the base is NM14/AAF19 and it has a total manpower of 80,000 troops, with an additional civilian staff of 15,000 men. The base has a very strategic location outside the African coast, in the middle of Europe and South America. Refueling services for both ships and airplanes may be available to countries considered friendly to the Kingdom.

Public announcement to the people of Kopparbergs

A war in close proximity to our Nigerian border has been avoided. The nation of Iberian Netherlands made a sneak attack at the two nations of Equatorial Guinea and Gabon about one week ago, and the powerful IDF forces made an immediate response to this. As a result of our hard work, Iberian Netherlands is withdrawing all of their troops in these two countries.

The Red Sea Alliance did not participate in this conflict, we made it on our own. The nation of Vineyard was ready to help us should it be necessary, but the other nations of RSA was busy on other fronts. We also gained support from South Africa, and they were ready to enter this war on our side. We really appreciate that.

The winners are Kopparbergs and the people of Equatorial Guinea and Gabon!

The Emirate wishes to ask the Kingdom of Kopparbergs if it would interest them and their SIBAT organization to build production centers in the Emirate, near our new Qattara center. We are hoping not only to be able to offer additional production centers to the manufacture of existing IDI equipment, but to develop new equipment cooperatively. Given our past history working together, we feel that such a move would be beneficial to both our countries.

We furthermore wish to offer our reassurances in our efforts to restore peace and order in Arabicia, seeing as they were among our pivotal allies in the RSA. We hope that our moves do not come with dissatisfaction from your government. In addition, owing to the formal establishment of friendly relations with a number of newer governments, we would like to know if there is anything that the Emirate can offer to help Kopparbergs restore the delicate balance of peace and stability in West Africa at the moment, at least according to their perspective.

IC: Elections in Jordan has been hold. The result showed that the Governor of the seventh governorate of Kopparbergs, The Jordanian Kingdom of Kopparbergs, will be Sayyid Sani Nasir (age 43). The local government of Jordan will continue to rule from the capital Amman.

Two permanent combined AirForce- and Army-bases will be built in Jordan. 150 of the 300 Lavi-planes located on the Cape Verde Islands, will be relocated to the two bases in Jordan.

The northern Jordan base will be AAF20, located in Az-Zarqa. The southern base will be AAF21, located in Al-Aqabah at the Gulf of Aquaba. There will not be any navy base in Al-Aqabah due to the close proximity to the NM2 navy base in Eilat, Israel. There is no need for two navy bases in the Gulf. The troops of the current Jordanian navy will either be transferred to Eilat, or to one of the army/airforce bases. Both AAF20 and AAF21 will house 20,000 army soldiers and 10,000 airforce troops. We will also hire 3-4,000 civilians at the bases.

The Republic and it's various members have began the process of renewing it's contact it has with the outside world. The Kingdom of Kopparbergs has shown that it can be a nation to work with for the betterment of all mankind.

Also, if countries wish to reestablish their Embassies with us in any member or all members of the Republic they may do so.

When you refer to the Republic you will be addressing all the nations. So say if you have a problem with what the Spanish are doing, whatever that problem is. Don't tell the Republic to stop such and such, because only the Spanish will have any idea what your talking about. Confused yet? I know that is a little confusing but, I wanted to make my nation a little more complex, like the real world is.

As a matter of fact we're looking over the production capacities in the Israel Defense Industries' manufacturing plants right now. The export of the Lavi-jet and the Spyder and Arrow-systems (Air Defense Missile Systems) are going well, while the export of the Merkava tanks is fairly small. We want to build more plants for the naval industry, but nothing is decided yet.
We'll come back to you about this!

And regarding the situation in Western Africa... We have decided to call home our airplanes from Senegal. We don't want to engage in the conflict there, even if it's in our own backyard. But we're keeping a watching eye on them, and we're ready for action with a short notice. With the recent events in mind, we're having talks with the RUN about a couple of things.

All of the 120 members of the Israeli Knesset, the legislative branch of Kopparbergs, pressed the button that represented their individual choice in this important, historical voting.

"Voting ended, the result will show up on the display in five minutes."

The governor of Israel, Inbar Hebel, sat on the front row, together with the other Governors of Kopparbergs. On Hebel's right side sat Sayyid Sani Nasir, the Governor of Jordan. They both voted for choice C, as they thought that both Jordan and Israel would gain from that solution.

Ironically, all of the Governors, except Emeka Idowu Olujimi Mosi Nkemdire, Governor of Tunisia, voted for choice C. Nkemdire voted for choice B as he was convinced that one king is enough.

"Results calculated. Please see the results on the display."

Choice A, Abdullah II bin al-Hussein, King of Jordan: 48 votes.
Choice B, King Mohammed VI of Morocco: 60 votes.
Choice C, Africa: King Mohammed + Middle East: King Abdullah II: 92 votes.

Now it was decided. When King Carl Gustaf XXI will abdicate in about two weeks, there will be two successors. Public announcement from the desk of King Mohammed VI of Kopparbergs Africa:

Risk for war in West Africa

Earlier today I've ordered to cancel all leaves for our military forces in Kopparbergs Africa. I've also ordered to put the highest possible level on the border patrols amongst our western border, towards CWAA. We're going to Defcon level three in Morocco, Algeria and Niger. Nigeria already was at level three due to disturbances in Cameroon. We're also going to have Lavi jets patrolling the air amongst the previous mentioned border.

The reason for this mess is that the CWAA are on the warpath again. This time they are invading Togo, and they have also threatened to invade Benin – a nation we're having a defense pact with.

Some elements in the local government of Kopparbergs Africa are very frustrated, and want to immediately take action against the criminals in CWAA, but at the moment nothing other than preparations are decided.

The Kingdom of Kopparbergs

Public announcement from the desk of King Mohammed VI of Kopparbergs Africa:

Kopparbergs Africa recently raised the Defcon-level to three in nearly all of the African Governorates. The reason was the CWAA's invasion of Togo. The hunted terrorist was later catched by the CWAA-forces, and all of their troops in Togo were withdrawn.
We are very satisfied with the end of this story, and we want to make one thing clear: Kopparbergs Africa doesn't have any hostile intentions towards CWAA, but we will keep a small amount of troops in Benin for a while (a couple of months), to assist the Benin forces with training and exercises.

Now with this issue off the agenda, we could lower the Defcon-level to four or even five. But we cannot do that. We must keep our troops at the highest possible alert level, and maintain regular patrolling amongst our borders (preferable from air). The reason is the uprising war between Sharina (and Vineyard) against our neighbor RUN).

We are going to keep the Strait of Gibraltar open to any and all civil vessels, but we may limit the thoroughfare for military vessels. The fleets in NM12 (Tangier) and NM13 (Tetouan) will be responsible for the Strait. This will of course be in cooperation with RUN, as they are controlling the Strait together with Kopparbergs Africa.

We're not sure who made the attack yet, but our guess is leaning towards the Empire of Vineyard. This is not my business, but I recommend a full scale mobilization of troops in Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
