2008: Newly Formed formed Avant pour L'action Nationale(Front for National Action), a right-wing party wins 39% of seats in the National Assembly, it quickky forms a coalition government with the remaining FN and UMP members, Jean-Phillipe Rosseau is elected President with 56% of the vote
2009: France withdraws from NATO
2009: Senegalese President Joseph Obatu is killed by French special forces team, despite international outcry French troops are deployed to restore order in Senegal
2009: Rosseau introduces plan to boost French military spending from 2.6% of GDP to 3.6% by 2015
2010: French troops along with Canadian and South American forces return to Haiti after the nation's 40th coup in 100 years
2011: French troops participate in US led invasion of Pakistan
2012: France signs a treaty that dictates that nuclear weapons will be a last resort measure along with Great Britain, USA, Israel, India, China, South Korea, and Spain
2013: France strikes terrorist training camps in Libya after a series of car bombs in downtown Paris
2013: Rosseau is reelected with 61% of the vote, by now ALN holds 48% of seats in National Assembly and leftist parties are in disarray

OOC: The history sounds good, perhaps a little more detail would be preferable but it is fine. You say the military budget is increased, which is fine, but where is the money coming from, welfare, education, more taxes, etc... And you will need to include some info about your population, government, economy and military, see my newsthread or Choeson's for a good example. Other than those things, it looks good so far.

OOC: One more thing and then you are good to start RPing. You should probably change your population to something like 64 million. The only way France could have 75 million people in 2013 is with third-world growth rates, which France does not have.
