Dear Soviets,

We here at the Confederacy of Forosia have recently won our Independence through a rebellion, throwing off our oppressive aristocratic government. Anyway, down to business.
We are beginning production of our own weapons. Previously, we used Russian equipment, such as the type you sell. Which brings me to my next point. While most of our equipment is being updated (Old T-34s are being reconfigured with new turrets and such, for example), we don't really need most of our weapons. In fact, we have a rather large surplus of weapons, and we only need the bare minimum of weapons to effeciently run our military until production increases.
So, our question is this: Do you buy used weaponry? If the answer is yes, then we have a surplus of 5,000 AK-47s, 200 SR-2 Veresks, and 2,000 SVDs all for sale. We would be willing to accept half or even quarter-price from you if you are willing to buy them.
Thank you for your time.

Sincerly,
Anthony Hernz, President of Forosia

TTD-01B Barracuda
Length: 6.67 m
Width: 3.4 m
Height: 2.3 m (to top of launcher)
Weight: 32 tonnes
Armour: composite armour; front and side armor laminated
(note: essentially the base armour of the Twardy, but sadly I'm not finding any detail on how effective this armour is)
Main armament: modular ATGM launcher on traversable turret ring; standard loadout 8 Lance missiles. Designed for top-attack profile.
Secondary armament: 6.6mm coaxial machine gun
Power plant: diesel model S-12U
850 hp (630 kW)
Suspension: torsion bar
Road speed: 78 km/h
Power/weight: 26.5 hp/tonne
Range: 650 km
Crew: 2 (commander/driver, gunner)
Estimated construction cost: US$2,200,000
"Lance"
Mass: 25 kg
Diameter: 170 mm
Length: 1.1 m
Warhead: Tandem HEAT shaped charge (estimated 1500 mm penetration)
Maneuverability: thrust vectoring.
Guidance: Fiber optic (IR/CCD upgrade?)
Range: 8500 m
Estimated Construction Cost: US$12,000 / missile

OOC: How much are you asking for them?

Is the Lance AT, AA or AP?
Trivalvia
29-09-2006, 19:13
OOC: I'm offering the blueprints for free... think of it as a gesture of goodwill and trust (after all, this design is not for public export). Since the chassis is based off of the PT-91 Twardy you should have little difficulty in retooling factories to build the Barracuda.

And the Lance missile is an AT guided missile; the current design employs fiber optic guidance, but there are plans to replace it with an onboard tracking system. It was designed with the HBT and SHBT tanks in mind (such as the Behemoth II and III), but trials have shown it to have reduced or minimal effectiveness against SHBTs. Still... the range of the Lance, as well as the speed of the Barracuda unit itself, should allow you to thin out enemy MBT and HBT ranks before your own tank forces engage them. The modular design to the launcher should allow you to replace the Lances with other guided missiles up to 220mm diameter (the 8 missile launcher would have to be reduced to a 4 missile launcher for such missiles). Keep in mind this is a tank destroyer only - it would not serve well in either AP or AA roles.

The general rationale between this tech offer is that while Trivalvia is hoping for a ceasefire and peace negotiations, Trivalvia also doesn't want the Griffincrest Corporation to win this war. We're hoping, especially with the proliferation of enemy armour in your territory, this can even things up a bit.

Dear TWSP,

The Military Orders of the Knights Templar and Hospitaller Knights are interested in adopting the HH-1 as their standard sidearm. However, the amount we need diminishes the conventionality of making a bulk purchase directly from you. Instead, we propose a purchase of production rights. For a price you set, we shall buy design specifications for the sidearm so we may produce it in our own factories. Certain terms would apply, such as us keeping the design a secret from others. If this sounds acceptable to you, you may respond with the price you wish us to pay for such a deal. If not, we'll consider a bulk purchase instead.

Basic under armour: outer segment consisting of a woven blend of PBO and aramid fibres (Zylon and kevlar), middle segment of a non woven blend of Aramind and HPPE fibres (Kevlar and Spectra) doped with titanium and teflon powders, finally segment identical to first.
This layer on its own will stop provide NIJ Level III-A protection and stop some level III threats.

Light-Hard plates for shins, thights etc: Boron Carbide plates with a woven blend backing, when worn over the udner armour these plates should provide full NIJ level III protection

Torso protector (heavy hard plate): outer shell of kevlar reinforced fibre glass followed by first segment of 2 layers of nonwowven blend, 11 layers of woven blend and 2 layers of nonwoven, second segment has Boron Carbide cones and balls suspended in a thick layer of the nonwoven blend and the final segment consists of 1 layer of your nonwoven blend with 2 of your woven blend and a rear Fibre glass pannel., when placed over the under armour, Full level IV and possibly above protection is provided.

Now to summarise all that:
The armour scheme features a light weight and flexible underlayer which uses layers of woven and nonwoven blended armour fibres and reactive armour powder to provide protection against all pistol and some rifle ammunition. Over this can be worn either hard armour plates which provide protection against most rifle threats or a heavy armour box which uses additional woven and nonwoven blends to contain a layer of harden composite material which provides protection against high-power, armour piercing rifle ammunition.

However, there's a number of mismatches, where the prices differ several times between the rl and yours, and, notably, the ratio of different related weapons costs is very warped. I could help to correct the costs if you would like. That's not a complaint, just a suggestion to help.

First, helicopters: combat ones are way more expensive than transports.
Mi-28, Mi-35 - $12 mln (check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi-28 )
Ka-50 $12-15 mln ( http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/vvs/ka50-01.htm ), Ka-52 about 3 millions more (a derivative).
Not sure about Mi-26, but it's a very heavy transport, but over $10 mln ( http://www.flug-revue.rotor.com/frheft/FRH9807/FR9807e.htm ).
Again not sure about Mi-24 (no new data), but $6-8 mln seems likely.

On the other hand, pistols tend to be very cheap, tens of dollars each. AK-74 and 47 are also about $100 and less, though that doesn't mean you can't sell them for more.

A few more corrections:
MANPADS (Stinger, Igla) - also very expensive. About $60,000 for Igla-1 (SA-16), $80,000 for full Igla (SA-18).
Shilka and other close range AA systems are basically about $2 millions each. Buk and medium range are more expensive, but not sure about numbers.
S-300 is a very expensive system, in range of 110 millions at least. More exactly: http://www.missilethreat.com/news/chinese_md.html

RPGs are cheap, about $500 for launcher, the rest depends on ammo, $100/shot is a rough average.
APCs and IFV are generally cheaper, $600k for BMP-2, below $400k for BTR-90, $200k for BTR-80. BMP-3 is different at $1.2 mln, BMP-T is somewhat more.
Katyusha is basically a truck with iron rails, all the cost is rockets; so the price depends on them. Truck can be $50-100k, but single salvo is another $50k.

I can give more prices if you're interested, or references to real-life sales if there's doubt.

Comrade:

By my maths that makes a sub-total of 5,300,000 USD, with a 5% Communist Discount of 265,000 USD

Total 5,035,000 USD

5,035,000 USD has been wired to your account.

If I took that discount in error please inform me.

Although we are aware of the World Soviet Party's position on the sale of heavy weaponry to private corporations, Neucom Inc wishes to know what would be the price of the new M1 Phalanx tank and whether our not TWSP will sell a few examples to Neucom. We guarantee that any technologies in this tank will not be employed in any Neucom products, and the will not be distrubted to other entities including the government of Neo-Erusea. Any information found on this tank will be no-disclosure. We are terribly sorry for the sale of the Chainsaw to Blackhelm (ooc i seriously forgot, otherwise i wouldn't have sold it). You may consider us capitalist pigs, and we are, but we do have honor and a reputation to uphold and this deal will be protected by Article V(2) of our Articles of Incorporation. So far, we havent completed our own testing of this tank, and no, we dont consider you capitalist pigs. When we complete said tests, we'll put a limited number of tanks for nations to test, then, we'll begin selling them, but we dont think DPRs will be avaliable at first.

See, when I started Gente Del Agua, I had accidently put the setting for Issues on none. I kind of got angry when i didn't get any request, and i found out about my setting just about a week ago. But before i knew about my issue problem, and when I was RPing the Latican Republic (My PT Nation) I created that puppet nation. Now I didn't mess that up so I got Issues everyday and it came out much better than my current nation. And I would be RPing as them, if it where not that they are twice my size, and that I can't get a validation for the Forums.

yes, i am the head of military 'deals' of the logicthink nation.

We have plenty of weapons and defenses BUT we wish to propose a deal.

WE request a modifed 'spacecraft', the cheapest, we are not sure of the cost as a conversion method is unavailable to us. But we are prepared to offer up to 1.5B anticensoras. (we have them in abundance... DON'T ASK WHY)

if you could calculate the cost for this here is our request.

ONE modofied spaceship with following specs.

Our space program is on hold for inspections due to possible rating system removal of KEY parts.

SPECS =

Solar power of up 3 gigawatts.

A vacuum reactor (the ruskies have this... right?) capable of travel outside the solar system to floating planets near the asteroid belt with a possible constant speed of 42,000 miles per hour.

FULLY decked out nuclear arsenal INCLUDING your best in 'nitrogen' warfare. (if you have it)

FULL defenses. Atomically restructured 100 g/cm3 dense sheet metal defenses with thin anti grav silicon coating (anti grav silicon coating isn't needed.. just a plus)

FULL SPACE for up to two hundred passengers at any given time and a cargo hold capable of transporting materials and 'facilities' which we use to make extra... 'stuff'.

And last but not least.

THIS MUST fir the specifications as our newly set up fifth space colony right outside the asteroid belt is not getting enough supplies from the mining plants on the nearby asteroids and THUS we need to refit and repair the colony and the mining plants. We could make all of this ourselves but the crazy 'conservative' rating system fanatics have vandalized our ships using 'V2D-chip' operatives.

We'll supply the scientists/engineers & knowledge needed to build this. WE just ask for you to provide a good and ample highly secure building site as well as workers and any basic elements we require. Extended elements we will synthesize as needed.

Please calculate the costs and if you accept send us a wire and post the costs. This would be widely appreciated asvital agricultural work on fighting off the increasing global pollution is being done on the colony so we'll need it to be repaired ASAP.

The Sovistan would take a heavy order of AK-103's if you have any of that model in stock- it appears to have been replaced by the AK-108, which unfortunately fires the wrong type of ammunition. Does your storefront keep any of the older model?

Anyway, we'll take an order of:
10,000 PPS-43s (4,350,000 USD)
50 BT tanks (25,000,000 USD)
10 Mi-24 Hinds (20,000,000 USD)

Using this incredibly generous offer in preparation for the second Clandonian assault, we'll take the following.

200x Black Eagle tanks (1 Billion.)
10x S-400 SA-20 Triumf Missile Launchers (150 million)
200x S-300s (600 million)
1000x Triple MiniGun "Chainsaw" aka "The Saw" (25 million)
100x Tunguska-M1 (300 million)

Total: 2,075,000,000 (2 Billion, 75 Million USD.)

We'd use more of this oppurtunity, but we simply don't have the manpower for any more equipment. We're hugely grateful for this equipment, and we hope it will turn the tide on the next Clandonian assault.
