The Republic of United Nations
Background:
The United Netherlands was founded, when the nations of The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg entered into the Benelux Defense Union. An union designed to unite the people of the Benelux countries into one nation to provived for the common defense under one Army, Navy, and Air Force and to promote the free movement of workers, capital, services, and goods in the region. The countries of Sri Lanka and Venezuela were incorpated into the United Netherlands as Dominions.
In recent years the power and influence of the United Netherlands has grown. First with the incorporation of the Islands of Aruba, the Netherlands Antilles and Trinidad and Tobago into the Kingdom. Second, was the forming of the EATO Alliance with the Kingdom as a founding member. The future does indeed look bright for the citizens of the United Netherlands and her dominions.
In a recent development, a new nation had been born with the incorpulation of the Iberian Peninsula into the United Netherlands. This new nation was to be named after the most populous of both countries, the Kingdom of the Iberian Netherlands or the Iberian Netherlands for short. However, for most people that live within the kingdom simplely calling it the Netherlands is standard pratice. While from the outside the Iberian Netherlands may look like one kingdom, it is in fact composed of two different kindgoms. The Kingdom of Iberia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (or United Netherlands for short). Though both kingdoms are highly woven into the other, each kindgom handles its own affiars with each country that makes of the two kindgoms further handling their own local affiars. Through this highly complex system of webs has the Iberian Netherlands brought prosperity and freedom to the world.
With the dismantlement of the Kingdom, a new United Nations was born. This one would not fail. The Capital Headquarters were to be placed in the most populous country in the Republic, that location turned out to be Madrid Spain.
