[Suppresed Variant.] (http://orbital.weapon.system.googlepages.com/mambasupressed.PNG)
The Mamba serves as the Izistani second tier submachine gun and personal defense weapon. Developed in order to provide a cheap mass producable back up to the Northern Expansite BPSMG, the Mamba has also found users in military police, law enforcement, the ARM, and mercenary outfits. It has also been known to show up in the hands of front line troops from time to time.
The design was inspired by the experimental German ERMA EMP 44 (http://securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/2100/2159.htm), with the Mamba's receiver and barrel shroud made from a single machined pipe. The action is uses the simple blowback method of operation, and fires from a open bolt. As a result the weapon is [i]extremely reliable. The magazine housing doubles as a hand grip, with a commercially available MAC 10 magazine being used. The safety is a simple Cross bolt model ahead of the trigger. Firing modes are automatic and semi automatic, controlled by a two stage trigger. Field stripping is accomplished without tools (for example, the muzzle break is screwed off, the screw cap on the back is undone, the spring and bolt slide out along with the barrel assembly). The Mamba also has a extensible stock similar to that of the M3's. Firing rate is set at five hundred rounds per minute for controllability.
The iron sights are self illuminating and fold down when a accessory is mounted, a reflex sight is factory fitted for Izistani service. A tactical light/laser can be mounted under the barrel shroud on the M1913 rail there. Sling attachment points are also included with the weapon for ease of transport.
