Geography
Location: Northern Europe on the Jutland Peninsula, located north of Germany, and on the Scandinavian Peninsula, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea; also includes two major islands (Sjaelland and Fyn) and several smaller ones.

Area: 817,278 Km²

Coastline: 35,680+ Km (Excluding minor islands)

Border Countries: Sweden, Finland, Russia and Germany;

Climate: Temperate in south, with cold, cloudy winters and cool, partly cloudy summers; Temperate along coast, modified by North Atlantic Current; Rainy year-round on West coast Sub-arctic in north;

Terrain: Mostly low and flat or gently rolling plains/lowlands on the Jutland peninsula and in Sjaelland and Fyn islands; Glaciated in the Scandinavian Peninsula area, with mostly high plateaus and rugged mountains broken by fertile valleys; Coast deeply indented by fjords; Arctic tundra to the north;

Natural Resources: Petroleum, natural gas, fish, salt, limestone, chalk, stone, gravel, sand, iron ore, copper, lead, zinc, titanium, pyrites, nickel, timber, hydropower;

Natural Hazards: Flooding is a threat in some areas of the country (e.g. Parts of Jutland, along the southern coast of the island of Lolland) that are protected from the sea by a system of dikes; Rockslides and avalanches on the Scandinavian peninsula;

People

(OOC: Asatru is a sort of neo-pagan relgion attempting to recall pre-Christian beliefs in Scandinavian culture... the Sami are the ethnic group A.K.A. the Laplanders. Right? Anyway, tag before I go off to read your intro thread.)
