History:

As a British protectorate, Treblador developed a love for the sea. Due to the Constitutional Monarchy's unique position as an island. The Royal Navy is relied upon heavily for homeland defense, as well as power projection, and so it's mission is of the utmost importance to the King. The Admiralty was established in order to better operate the Royal Navy, away from the hands of the already busy King and Parliament. At sea, the Royal Navy is yet to be tested except against domestic pirates and scum. In this occupation, they have been fairly successful. The HMS Portsmouth is the official transport of Kind Anthony I, and will be departing for Samtonia soon.

Portsmouth: Budget-makers and bureaucrats were shocked today as Parliament announced a nearly $1,000,000,000 budget cutback, along with a 1% reduction in taxes, bringing it to 3%. This announcement comes at troubled times for the military in particular, with tensions rising with ICCD. Naval budgets alone dropped $600,000,000 USD this year with the budget cuts, and further purchases have been delayed for the time being. It is uncertain whether the budget will rise again soon, but I'm sure the Royal Navy is hoping so.

We also notice you do not have uranium as a natural resouce. One of Aralonia's allies, Morslav [OOC: doesn't RP on NS though] has a large amount of uranium that we can offer to you as well if you need any for reactors and such. We offer the uranium in exchange for the establishment of a trade route for commercial purposese between Aralonia and Treblador.

On the behalf of His Majesty King George and His Government, I should like to officially express the interest of the United Kingdom of Oceania in establishing diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations with the Constitutional Monarchy of Treblador. From the information provided me by the Foreign Office and various private sector contacts, Treblador seems to share much in common with the United Kingdom from a common political heritage, namely British, to that of a love of the sea and the bounty she shares with her children.

Thus in the opinion of His Majesty’s Government it is only reasonable to offer an olive branch of peaceful relations to the government in Portsmouth. The United Kingdom can provide much to the people of Treblador, as Oceanian businesses and industry see much potential in Trebladorian markets and many are already requesting visas and passports for officials to visit Portsmouth and other important cities within Treblador where UK businesses would be interested in establishing offices, banks, factories, and other locales where commerce is conducted.

Should the Trebladorian Government find it acceptable to enter into diplomatic relations with the United Kingdom, His Majesty’s Government is prepared to offer Portsmouth the training and expertise of the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom, as both nations share the sea as the first and most important line of defence. And within both nations, each Royal Navy occupies a special place in the hearts and minds of the civilian populace. Should the Trebladorian Royal Navy require assistance in training, equipment acquisition, or other aid, the United Kingdom would be willing to facilitate such assistance in any appropriate and acceptable fashion.

I hope this may be the start of a long and fruitful relationship between the peoples of our two great nations.
