The attendants surveyed the list and checked to see who were permitted to come to the Emir's coronation.

The Republican Monocracy of the Great Sixth Reich
The Kingdom of Kopparbergs
The Boer Republik
The Empire of Dweladelfia Prime
The Democratic Republic of Arabicia
The Confederate States of America
The Sharina Technocracy
The Federal Socialist Republics of Warta Endor
The South American Union
The Democratic People's Republic of Indochina
The Philippines Protectorate

He waited anxiously at the Emirate Palace in Manama as dignitaries were expected to arrive via airplane. Inside, in the grand courtroom, Emir Jalal surveyed the audience seating and noted where his dignitaries would be, once they had all arrived. They had arranged that the wife of the late Emir Ali Al Khalifa - Sahar bin Nur Al Khalifa - should crown the Emir and confer upon the title of Emir of Bahrain to his numerous other titles: Emir of Egypt, of Tripoli, of Nubia, Sheikh of Qattara, and Commander of the Alif Laam Miim Coalition. After his coronation, he would give a speech, notably about the future of Bahrain, but people around him hinted that Sistan's presence would be among the things in the speech that would consume a great deal in his speech.

With the Persian territory just kilometers across the Gulf, people were hoping that no serious incidents resulted from the speech, but instead offered reconciliation in the region, and furthermore projected a firm stance on the security of the Middle East. War was the last thing on their minds.

The Prime Minister's plane skidded to a halt on the runway in Manama. Slowly the stairs descended onto the tarmac and several Aman agents hurriedly stepped out of the plane. The Prime Minister came out of the plane and gave several waves to any reporters and he immeadiatly stepped into a black Bentley that had been awaiting his arrival. The car was lead by two large SUVs and procedded by the two of the same cars. The caravan made its way to the Emir's palace, where Nasir eagerly waited to meet the Emirate's leader, Emir Jalal.

"As Salaam Alaikum, Prime Minister," Jalal said, as he parted from the rest of his crew preparing for the ceremonies that evening. "You are here early. What news brings you?"

The Warta Endorean Government plane was approaching Manama International Airport as the Marshall woke up from his sleep and looked out of the window. Below him he saw the island nation and the bridge which connected it to the Arabian Mainland. (ooc. really a cool bridge, the longest in the world I think...) He quickly refreshed himself as the plane started to land. A few minutes later, he left the plane and greeted the welcoming comitee. he got in a large SUV and they drove to the Royal Palace.

[ooc: I'm pretty certain that the bridge is still under construction, but yea :p]

IC: Jalal heard from his attendants that the Marshall was arriving and prepared to greet him. He turned to An Nasir and said, "We shall continue this later."

As the Marshall entered the courtroom, Jalal greeted him with open arms and bade him to relax and enjoy the hospitality of the palace atmosphere. The ceremony would begin shortly.

Carl Gustaf XXI came in a special version of a Boeing 747-400:

From the plane he sighted both the King Fahd causeway, which connect Brunei with Saudi Arabia, and the ongoing building of the combined bridges and roadways to Quatar, The Qatar–Bahrain Friendship Bridge.

This plane is the official governmental airplane of the Kingdom, but usually the King only uses it for longer trips. But with the situation with The Persian, the King decided to travel as safe as possible. He was, of course, escorted by six Lavi-fighters all the way from Tel-Aviv to Manama.

Carl Gustaf XXI and queen Victoria landed safely at the airport, and continued in an armored car to the ceremony.

DPRI President Liễu Văn Sơn sat apprehensively in the Party Tu-154 as it flew towards Bahrain. Having flown in from Ha Noi, he was tired, as he never got to sleep on these flights.
Normally, the President only came to these things if the Revolutionary Leader couldn't, but Comrade Đào, the biggest anti-imperialist on earth these days, refused to come on grounds that it was "a celebration of imperialism." Still, to show goodwill to the Emirate, they sent someone, and Sơn had been that someone.
The Tu-154 was probably the most conspicuous vehicle in the entire airport. It was painted dark red, and decorated with stars and hammer-and-sickles. The landing gear opened, and the craft touched down. After greeting the ALM welcoming comittee, Sơn got in a limousine and rode to the Emir's palace. He hopped out, two armed guards with Type 56-II assault rifles slung over their shoulders next to him.

[ooc: didn't know - that's why I said I was pretty certain - but how's it like driving over so much water?]

IC: The Emir couldn't afford to spend too much time greeting new greets, but managed to sneak in a warm welcome to both King Gustaf and Queen Victoria, and to President Liễu Văn Sơn. After that, he had to concede allowing one of his trusted ministers to address guests as the coronation ceremony was set to begin in about two hours. He met with the Al Khalifa family, somewhat still distraught over his death. He had been sick with pneumonia and a moderately malignant form of prostate cancer, coupled with the stresses of the world putting hypertension on his body. Despite attempts to battle the diseases, his old age [ironically, he was twice as old as Jalal, due to interesting familial relationships] and his poor health could not manage to keep his life sustainable. Stress over the events across the sea were also draining his health until he succombed to a heart attack. It was certainly a tortured man who died, and none of the Al Khalifa could disagree in saying that it was better that Ali had died.

Jalal tried not to seem opportunistic, as despite the age difference, Ali and Jalal were very friendly to each other, and they maintained this semi-formal friendship even after his father Mahmud had died. Now a good man had laid to rest, ready for Allah's angels to summon him to his rightful place in Paradise. Meanwhile, Jalal still had his duties and would perform them in every manageable fashion.

"My Lord Emir, the Emiress Sahar Al Khalifa wishes to speak with you in private."

"I will address her soon." And he left to speak to her.

An Advisory to Foreign Dignitaries - ceremonies will commence in 20 minutes. Please take your seats as soon as possible to prepare for the coronation ceremonies.

Jalal reviews his speech just as he received disheartening news of lost sailors in the Gulf of Aden. "They really need to be careful," he remarked. "Sistan is a belligerent power that apparently now will be willing to attack civilian shipping."

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that we introduce you to the Emir Jalal ibn Mahmud Abd Allah Al Misri - Emir of Egypt, of Tripoli, of Nubia, Sheikh of Qattara, and Commander of the Alif Laam Miim Coalition. In recent days, due to the death of the Emir Ali bin Salman Al Khalifa - Emir of Bahrain, the Emirate of Bahrain has undergone a restructure to fit to the desired testaments of the late Emir Ali. In his will, he stated that his second cousin - born to the Emir Mahmud ibn Abbas Al Hasib Al Misri, son of Sheikh Nur al-Din An Nasir ibn Abbas Al Misri, who married the sister of Emir Salman bin Salat Al Khalifa, whose son is Emir Ali bin Salman Al Khalifa - was to inherit the Emirate of Bahrain and its duties and responsibilities upon his death. It is past the three days of mourning and we have convened to honor his wishes."

With that, Jalal stepped out in front of his company, small but prominent and honorable. Sahar was nearby with the royal ogal, crafted from leather and in green ink had the inscribed words : "Allah is my deliverer, and Bahrain His promise to me." She came as he stood and sat in his uncle's chair as she presented him the crown. The announcer spoke again. "Emiress Sahar bin Nur Al Khalifa presents the Royal Ogal to Emir Jalal who gives praise to Allah for His beneficient judgment and prays for wisdom and power in his rule over the people of Bahrain." And Sahar then placed the ogal over his other headbands before stepping back and permittting him to rise as Emir Bahrain.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the Emir Jalal ibn Mahmud Abd Allah Al Misrii - Emir of Egypt, of Tripoli, of Nubia, of Bahrain, Sheikh of Qattara, and Commander of the Alif Laam Miim Coalition."

A loud and thunderous applause roared through the courtroom, as Jalal stepped up and prepared to speak as the technicians turned on his personal microphone. Some other dignitaries had arrived late, but he didn't care much - it was their effort to come and witness the occasion. He paused as he waited for the audience settled back into their chairs.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the Honorable Prime Minister Abdul An Nasir and guests, the Honorable Marshall Kung Hao and guests, His Majesty King arl Gustaf XXI and Queen Victoria and guests, the Honorable President Liễu Văn Sơn, the Emperor Xina Avondale and guests, the Honorable Abu Karim Muhammad al-Jamil ibn Nidal ibn Abdulaziz al-Filastini and guests, the President Sickles and guests, the Grand-Technocrat Mina Veristek and guests, and other distinguished guests and citizens of the Emirate - it is my dear pleasure to have ended giving my greetings to all of you."

Laughter erupted. Jalal continued on a more serious note. "I do not expect to spend too much time speaking, but it seems that time will force me to speak long. I understand that many of you have come to pay respects to the Honorable Emir Ali bin Salman Al Khalifa - a relative by blood, but much closer to me as a friend. Some of you come to pay respect to my ascension, and it is with no great ease that I accept the throne of Bahrain. Its people have been led by a wise and gracious leader who helped them prosper long. But as we all know, his health was not the finest and the world's toll came upon him - we pray that his peace is welcome to us all.

"I inherit a rich kingdom - but a troubled one at that. 200 kilometers northeast of this city lie the shores of the Persian Empire of Sistan - a nation that proved itself to be a belligerent and uncooperative menace in the region. They have pursued enemy troops into Kuwait, and when faced with the inconvenience of a neighbor performing a similar defensivev measure, they revolt and force the attention of the world upon them. They seek to subvert the people of the Middle East into their sway - as it so seems. I only pray that their leaders are not the sort of seek global conquest.

"Just minutes ago, I received from my country that a tanker - an empty oil tanker - on a routine track to its home port in Suez, was sunk without just cause and without warning by an enemy submersible. While I do not wish to put the burden of suspicion on Sistan, they had recently declared an unrestricted blockade of the Gulf of Aden, and it thus leaves them as the only viable suspect. We have allies in the region, no other nation has professed any hostility to the Emirate, and there were no other military vessels in the area save those of Sistan. I am glad to say that the majority of the survivors have returned to home territory, where our officials are providing assistance to recuperating from the tragedy. However, in the end, Sistan has the lives of 500 ALM citizens to answer to, and I don't believe that it will be easy to answer them.

"I respect the Persian Empire of Sistan as a sovereign nation. Regardless of their tirades and wailing cries, they are still a nation. But as of late, they have become nation that does not respect the sovereignty of their neighbors. Ali once told me that he feared dying because of Sistan. He had no sons, and he had no brothers. He couldn't lead Bahrain in the hands of a woman, due to the laws of the Sharia. And yet, he confided to me - Bahrain needs a strong leader and asked me if I would that strong leader. And it was with great difficulty that he told me that he would pass the Emirate of Bahrain to my responsibility, and it will be a great responsibility indeed. He feared my ascension would spur the Persians to attack Bahrain, to prevent the inheritance of the Emirate. But we are here, and we can tesitfy of these events to the world.

"Bahrain has a dutiful citizenry of over five hundred thousand people, and they all value their dignity as their faith. I talked with some of the people and they have agreed that Sistan is a problem. One of them mentioned that it was good that I inherited the kingdom. I will not say that I agree, because I cannot know. It has never been the interest of the Emirate to wage war on Sistan, because of the effects on our neighbors. The People's Republic of Arabicia would likely fall sway to the brunt of the Sistan attack. Israel would be second. Under these cushions lie the Emirate of Alif Laam Miim, a coalition conceived in my father's mind to be the guiding light of Islam and the Middle East. With the pacification of the southern stretches of the Sudan, we have brought order to a nation that has otherwise suffered under anarchy for so long, after civil war tore their government into a reckless and wasteful administration. While Bahrain is nothing of the same sort as was the Sudan, we consider the ascension of the emirate of Bahrain to be a great development in the security and peaceful order of the Middle East - save the scrouge of the encroaching threats by the Sistan Empire.

"I have many too mentions of that Empire, and I understand that it might draw some apprehensions in you. I am certain that no one in this room wants to draw the world into a war in the Middle East, and I maintain that the ALM Emirate seeks no war with Sistan. It will be thus their fall and their mistake to wage war upon the Emirate, as we have noted and staunch allies who support us. We have the opinion of the world with us. We have the people's minds with us. If we are to see any peace in this world, it will be in the best interests of Sistan that they resolve their pretensions through diplomatic and non-aggressive tactics. Otherwise, they will find themselves in the bottom sleeve in the world's sort of nations who rise above petty calls and senseless treachery.

"The Honorable Prime Minister Abdul An Nasir and guests, the Honorable Marshall Kung Hao and guests, His Majesty King arl Gustaf XXI and Queen Victoria and guests, the Honorable President Liễu Văn Sơn, and other other distinguished guests, I have burdened you enough with my speech. I think that it would be best that we all leave in the peace and calm that brought us. Let us remember the day of Emir Ali bin Salman Al Khalifa, and that his legacy in Bahrain will never be forgotten. I pray Allah's blessings upon you, and may we cherish and benefit from the peace that stands now. As Salaam Alaikum."

The crowd stood to a momentous roar of applause and Jalal stood there lauding and praying to Allah for good graces and wisdom as he began to manage the affairs of Bahrain.

Manama...

The Cessna 750 Citation X belonging to President Sickles touched down on the Runway in Manama. He was late for the ceremony - thanks to security scare back at Miami airport. The President, 6 staff members and 5 marines for security disembarked, ready for the ceremony.

He hadn't made a good first impression, but hopefully if he was able to talk politics with other world leaders late, it would lead to the alliance that the Confederacy needed...

The Marshall clapped his hadns while he thought. A Tanker, a Civilian Ship, was attacked...That's serious. Warta Endor needed the Red Sea open, now that we're doing bussiness with SIBAT. We could go the long way, around Africa or through the Panama Canal. No way that Warta Endorean Shipping be diverted from their normal path. If this continues...

He walked with his ai towards Emir Jalal. He waited politely untill the crowd of admirers grew thinner before he clapped him on the shoulder.

Kung Hao:"Well done, sire. A great speech you gave there. I was shocked about the news of the sunken Tanker... It is a war crime, no doubt. Warta Endor certainly dissaproves of this action taken by Sistan. If things...got out of hand in the Middle East, Alif Laam Miim may count on active Warta Endorean Support. It may not be much as we our rebuilding our Military at the moment, but two or three squadrons of Fighter/Bombers should be ready for service abroad.

Emir Jalal replied, somewhat belatedly:

"We appreciate your encouragement and your support. We find civil nations to be great friends in the world, and we can certainly count on Warta Endor to rise among those nations with a great reputation to recognize what is right and just. Of course, in the course of right and just, we hope that this does not need to involve any more hostilities than already presently done."

To the CSA President, Jalal was quite forgiving. "We saved DVR recording for all of our delegates, that they may reflect on this day. Besides, numbers of delegation managed to make it here and represent on your behalf.'

[ooc: so um... yea... the ceremony is over, and there isn't much left unless you guys really want to have post-coronation chitchats. I know Arabicia wanted one, but I haven't had the time to make due with it... so um... yea...]

"Excuse me sire," Sickles began, shortly after meeting with the Emir, "I couldn't help but notice the current crisis in the Red Sea. It would be terrible if that were to escalate and damage the trade potential between our two nations. To that length I would like to offer the support of the Confederate States of America."

Jala was humbled by this support. "We are glad that your nation too recognizes that Sistan's actions are unjust and unrighteous. We also share your hopes, because we can guarantee that any conflict will hurt us more than it will hurt you. But with all of this support behind us, we are certain to say that war shall evolve from these circumstances."
