No, I dont actually own Dead Rising or an X-Box 360, I was just reading the game guide on Gamespot and decided to gain some RP browny points. Here is the basic plot:
In various nations throughout the world, four freelance photojournalists recieve the same tips through their E-mail, every time, the message is the same.

"Hi, I would like to not reveal myself, but I would like to inform you that there is a interesting development in the town of Kasrinkya, in Red Tide. I do not suggest driving there, trust me, your going to have to take a helicopter. I have one arranged, be on helipad 3 in Saridina International Airport by 11:00 AM on the morning of september 19th. Do not be surprised if there are others waiting there. Tell the pilot on the helipad that you are 'Seeking a blue river'.
PS: Do not tell anyone, I cannot garuntee your safety if you do."
So the four photojournalists follow the E-mails directions and find themselves on board a TC-3 Civilian Helicopter flying over the Red Tidean Central Desert. Doing some background research, they find that the town of Kasrinkya is a discrete little place off any main routes. Tucked at the base of a Mesa, the Town is cut off from the rest of the country by said Mesa and a river.
Arriving at the city limits, they find the only bridge over the river is being gaurded by a entire Mechanized-Infantry Division of the Red Tide Military, apparently the chopper was the way to go.
Arriving in the town, they find it has been overrun by walking dead(even though they think its a riot at first) when their helicopter pilot drops them off on the local malls rooftop.
