Backround
Deciding that the Armed Forces needed a smaller version of the Dobermen, Omega set to work creating a powerful APC.

Weapon Systems

The Panther uses the very effective and popular 30mm Airburst autocannon. The weapon provides excellent use against any target but Main Battle Tanks. A 7.62mm machine gun is also mounted for use against infantry.

In order to counter the threat of MBT's a Apollo missile launcher box was added. The Panther's version only has two missiles however, since most would operate under the protection of Bears and Howlers.

Defense Systems

The Panther uses the same armor as the Dobermen, but less of it.

The outer layer had standard Non-explosive Reactive Armour. The second layer has a alummium frame. The Third layer has a Honeycomb Magnesium frame. The final layer is NBC protection infused by Kevler.



Electronics

The Panther's Commander has a third-generation Thermal Imaging systems. He has acesses to that day or night. It also has a built-in laser rangefinder.

The Gunner has a slightly reduced version of the gunnery systems used on the Howler.


The Gunner has access to a quad magnifaction sight, with Target Identifcation, with laser rangefinder, and linked to XM Graphic System and the Center Fire Control Computer.

Engine Systems

Do to the lightness of the Panther, a Gp 880hp Gasonline-Electric Hybrid was used. The Panther moves on eight kevlar infused wheels with advanced suspension.

An easy contract compared to most, the Lion was ordered to replace the aging Paladins. No major new weapons systems were used, and the Lion is simply met to match, not out-do current nation's SPG's.
