Securing our place

Marquish

The heavy rain pelted against the glass pains of the windows, flashes of lightning lit the dim room, and thunder shook the building as the senior party members assembled.
“Comrades, the hour is late, let us proceed” began the Supreme Chancellor “Minister Kalith, your security briefing please”
Minister Kalith stood, and moved to the end of the long table; his body’s outline in the darkness clearly resembled that of a life long soldier. He pressed a few keys and activated a 3D projection map of the country
“All the borders have been secured, and the guard has stood down watch in the major cities” he began; the 3D map changing angles to highlight talked about regions “We believe the remainder of the counter revolutionaries are hiding out here, in the Rikanpfa wild lands. Reports have suggested that the remaindered of the old presidium are there, along with Dylanshki, as they prepare a last ditch attempt at counter revolution.”
“Excellent job Minister; what are your plans for the traitors of the people?”
“We have a few undercover agents in Rikanpfa now; feeding us lintel; the First, Third, and Eights Guards are assembling in the village of Dukath; and we plan to dredge the wilderness till we hunt down every last one of them and bring them to trial for their crimes”
“Excellent, once this vital task is accomplished, after years, the revolution shall be secured, and peace shall rule the land.”
“Minister McNaughton; your report”
“Chancellor; I am proud to report that agricultural production is up another seventy two percent, and we have begun moving the entire population off of emergency rations, and onto healthy, natural food…but… Factory strikes continue to plaque industrial production; and we still are not operating at full capacity”
“This is not good Minister; do what must be done to correct this problem”
“Yes sir”
“Comrades, I propose we finish this tomorrow, it is late.” All the members around the table stood, and gave the salute of their nation (placing ones left fist across ones chest)
“Unity through strength, long live the revolution” the recited in unison, and began departing the room.
