2006: The Avian flu strikes in some remote areas of the Amazon claiming 20,000 lifes.
late 2006: Luiz da Silva was re-elected to office in the general elections.
2007: There was an Amendment to the Constitution allowing for immediate re-election after term.
2007: After the Two Year War begin Brazil supports Israel and its allies.
2008: Consricption length is extended from 9 months to 1 year. The conscrition age lowered to 19 from 21.
2009: Military budget increases to 2.3% due to surplus funds.
2010: General Election are held, Luiz da Silva runs for re-election but losses to a Communist Party of Brazil member, Marcos Jarmillo.
late 2010: When results are read riots occur across the country, because of suspected cheating. Police forces cannot handle them, and the military is brought in.

late 2012: Worker party members riot after a Workers Party official is sentenced to death for being accused of hiring a hitman.
early 2013: Brazilian Government supports Iran in testing nuclear weapons as a way to defend itself.
2013: Workers Party officials with other party officials plan to vote in favor of a bill that disbands the communist party for abusing power.
late 2013: This bill is voted on and passes. Current President Jose Lopez is removed from office. Luiz da Silva is appointed President after a vote by the National Congress.
2014: Luiz da Silva retakes office.
