Corporate Warfare, anyone interested?

I'm thinking about having an internal war between a lot of different factions (roughly seven), with a lot of corporations having "MegaCorp" status.

Is anyone interested in the idea of supporting this? Sort of a Civil War idea, only instead of different factions fighting for ideologies, it's companies fighting for economic dominance.

Heh, I might be tempted to bring LifeWyze into this. I'll see how things go in the way of other people signing up.

I'd probably bring PRA into this (time allowing, which it should, as I go back to school soon) if you don't mind. Tis based loosely off of Renraku anyway, so should have some inspiration at least...

Shira Corp (Kamashas largest producer of ice cream) is interested. In witch country/part of the world will the war be played?

Go ahead, bring anyone you guys want. So far, the entire storyline is pretty much based off of a mixture of Ace Combat and some of my recent RP's. As soon as one of my RP'ing associates gets back from his vacation, I'll run a rough draft of the RP through him, and we should be set.

I'll supply a map, my nation is an island continent nation between Japan and North America.

Will it be open warfare between corps, or more of a cloak and dagger style covert war?

As soon as I'm back from vacation next week, I can get involved.

Xeccon Industrial Corporation, a McKagan based company (which also builds a multi-role attack fighter) would definately be interested in this. It's a VERY diverse company, with most of the income coming in via selling cars in McKagan and McKagans offshore provinces. It is far from a "MegaCorp," but could definately pick up ground during this because of the major investments it has made into it's own brand of private security.

I'm really looking forward to this.

What techlevel is this? I'd certainly be up for a corporate scrum. Verdant Archipelago Inc. with it's security subsiduary Countercheck Strategic Solutions. How open are we taking this warfare? Hostile takeovers and stealing customers? Shadowrunesque sabotauge? Bombardment of corporate GHQs from SSGNs?

How big do you want our megacorps to be?

I'd like to see a wide variety of warfare fronts and different levels - from customer scare tactics, to assets denial, to investment science... it would be nice to see a form of corporate warfare OTHER than corporations fielding massive armies in conventional tactics against each other.

Lifewyze and Verdant Enterprises I imagine will be at loggerheads. Similar areas of research, though admittedly, we go more into the agricultural area and somewhat less into the medical/biowarfare sphere.

I imagine the relationship between Xeccon's automobile brand [Triya, FYI] and Griffincrest will be interesting. The three cars that Triya produces all get above 30 MPG normally, and that wouldn't do well for oil sales in the region if Triya gets a large enough share of the market.

Think of it this way. There used to be two massive corporations that used to have US Army sized military forces, then, they collapsed. There's only one corp. that has any sizeable force, but they won't be introduced until the RP is well underway.

If you count corporate subterfuge to gain control of strategic resource interests, illegal activities to acquire funds, and a hide-and-seek game to get the former corporations' weapons without the government knowing, then...

Ace Combat? As in AC0? I call dibs on playing mercenary-fighter pilots! (Incidently, I love the Ace Combat series.)

No, this isn't Belka! (Although two of my provinces are named North and South Belka) This is the Usea continent from AC04. (Also, there a provinces named Osea, North Osea, Sapin, Verusa, Yuktobania, Ustio, et cetera)

Destroy All Humans is better for ME because it's not as serious. I have AC5 for PS2, and to get the graphics they have on that game on that CONSOLE is just amazing. The story was great...

But it didn't have exploding cows.
