OOC: This will be a very calm build up to a potential coup in my nation.
if you post please do not react to somethign that doesnt require a reaction.

My nation has very open immigration and visitation policies and so just any national would allowed to visit as a tourist. So if want to RP having a national in my nation that is fine as well.

This is first post is incomplete because I must go look at a new house.

Music began to play as the DJ's voice faded away.

The song was of the typical nationalistic fair spewed forth by pop culture in times of crisis.

Sgt. Donovan O'Gimbu listened to the tripe as it vomitted forth from his radio.

He was only half aware of the music as his cruiser led the Education Convoy for the day.

All school buses in Skibereen and especially New Dublin recieved armed escorts.

He led the final stretch a long winding snake of school buses and armored cruisers.

Foot patrols had cleared roofs and snipers were in position along the route.

Another average school day in Skibereen.

This had been going on for years without event, after all who would attack a school bus?

The point was however to ensure the safety of Skibereen's greatest and most valued asset--the children.

Even with internal conflict and war being a constant threat just o nthe horizon Skibereen still focused the lion's share of resources on education.

The nation was respected for its educational system and many nations had requested to allow children to attend Skibereenian schools...once the violence in the nation could be brought under control.

It never been really under control so it was unlikely there would be a large influx of foreign students anytime soon.

Donovan watched mothers hang out windows with rifle barrels peeking out from the siles just to let the officers know if anything did happen, most everyone on the street would die.

The average people of Skibereen were extremely self sufficient and long ago had grown tired of Political factions internal fighting so a few events radicalized a large section of the population who now would kill any faction member who even appeared to be in the midst of conducting a violent act.

This had served to ensure that conflict between the factions was low intensity and precision.

The Skibereenian military and paras were renouwed across the world for their surgical strike abilities. The units in the factions had some of the most competent intelligence gatherers and assassins in the world. For one very pragmatic reason, Skibereen had an armed popualtion--if it turned on any faction that would essentially be the end of that faction. Collateral damage in conflicts was kept to amazingly low levels.



The buses rolled into the central Education building's underground garage and the police AFVs dispersed to their standard patrol routes.

Donovan's job was now to maintain a five block parameter around the education building for the the school day. To minimize the chances of accidental engagemetns too close to the building....

People milled aboutt he streets of New Dublin like everyday, grocery shopping and hailing taxis, courieers running from office to office and drinking-the official Skibereenian pass time.

There was always an underlying sense of forbodding in in New Dublin.
As had always been the case in Skibereen election meant little, if a party could hold the city they held the nation. The people followed those in power, the fact that so much of the populace was armed meant a repressive regime taking over was almost impossible.
Skibereen was a new experiment in Republican Democracy, Freedom by the Sword.

Donovan however was not thinking about the far reaching ideals of his country, he was as always, on the job. Though nothing had ever happened at all when he was on the educational system rotation he treated as if danger lurked around every corner.
As if every passer-by wasa potential Red Hand* opponent(The Red Hand is the leading political faction currently in Skibereen).

He listened to the music of FRS(Free Radio Skibereen) while the announcers were trite and predictable the music was quite good (most of the time).

TRaffic was heavy this morning and had remained excessive for several hours after the mourning rush hours. This was of small matter the city was growing and the New Dublin Founding festival was in a few day so Many families from O'Murchadha city were already arriving.

Another need for extra police as fights were not merely a possiblity they were as certain as sunrise.

The last festival sparked a two week riot that did nearly a hundred million in damages to the city, though no one was killed. That was a bonus.

OOC: Is this war against a western nation, or a islamic nation/eastern nation

OOC: Well, my forces which are not in the nation currently are going to join a war involving some other RPers and that is totally different this will turn into an RP about an attempted Coup in my nation and potentially the opening of a civil war.

My nation is ....Western, and I suppose in religious terms it is a Heretical Catholic nation. They do not recognize the Pope-any Pope.
Priests marry, sometimes they narry multiple wives, they are active in politics and the Mother Church in Skibereen has an active and effective military which seeks to install a theocracy in Skibereen. This is of course public knowledge which any nation would know.

President O'Donnelly listened to Free Radio Skibereen as the sun reached up high into the sky for the noon time briefing.

The advisors droned on about taxes, and law enforcement issue in the West among the Dana.

The OSP had been very quiet and there was speculation something was going to happen.

The O'Murchadha Clan according to some intelligence reports had been in talks with the OSP and there was growing concern that the O'Murchadha Clan would shift aligence to the OSP, which would be very dangerous indeed.

As the meeting continued President O'Donnelly considered the lives of the million Raiders sent to aid the Maccabee and considered the lives of the sailors who were carry them on their way.

The Raiders were the best trained military force in Skibereen and now they were absent.

With the political tensions rising he wished those men were here and not there.

He knew he had risked much dispatching men so far from the homeland but he had a certain standard to up hold, obligations beyond that to the Party.

Bad Religion droned out on the radio, he thought hte song was called 'The Fall of Man' he considered it oddly appropriate.

Then he recalled it was also called 'Live Again' and for no other reason then superstition he felt some solace in that.

In Skibereen it was the quiet that one needed to fear and it had been as calm as a cemetary across the three Isles of Skibereen. That was a very bad thing.

The day had gone by as uneventful as most for Donovan and so he readied the convoy to roll with the buses as the school day ended.

FSRadio was his constant companion (as it was for most).

The same as before men cleared the way for the vehicles to transport the children home.
