North East of the Omz Straight, aboard the CA (Confederate Auxillia) Barnham
The ship rolled as it climbed over wave after wave, passing through the turbulent stretch of water between Omz22 to the west and Margia to the East, if they were blown off course by a large amount they could potentially end up in the territorial waters of either of those two nations, thus the crew in the bridges of the ships were extra vigilant as they watched there electronic chart tables and there GPS recievers. There was quite simply no margin for error.
The fleet was headed for an island about 270km long and 120km wide, it would be the new home for up to half a million colonists in the first few months, and depending on what resources were found, it would remain near static or it could bloom into a bussling colony that would be able to lobby for and recieve troops and other resources neccesary for expansion.
But this was all in the future, first the ships had to get to land without being driven onto the rocks or into another nations territorial waters.
As they approached the island, soon to be the colony of Havenica Spizani, the weather began to improve and the crews became less fearful of drifting into what would be very hot water.
The 800 metre long converted liner appraoched as close as it could to the island and began shuttling the security teams neccesary to secure the area of the settlement (to be built around a natural harbour) on its four hovercraft launches. As the ship turned and slowed to a stop the passengers all rushed to the port windows to get a view of there new home.
In a ceremonial gesture the Barnham and the other 34 ships in the convoy struck there ensigns and raised the ensign of the "Colonial Naval Auxillia, Havenica Spizani detachment"
The glory of the confederacy had been spread to yet another corner of the earth, and it would spread farther still until it would be satisfied with its own might.
