Regarding the costs of dispatching the Hereditary Grand Duchess, sir. We will pay for that, but afterwards, her living expenses, which I assure you are modest for a monarch, will be paid by whom? and when can you accept her into your palace?

The cost of transport is easily solved by arranging a charter flight to Menelmacar (to whose ruler the Elenaran is married, and where he spends most of his time at present) in style appropriate to the Grand Duchess’ station, for which the Elenaran (being personally, as opposed to the state, responsible for the Duchess' income) will happily reimburse you, may we ask what kind of income her Grace is accustomed to in order that we may make financial arrangements for a suitable equivalent? The Elenaran has told me that he is quite happy to receive her Grace at a time of your convenience.

She is accustomed to 3 million wenaha and shall arrive as early as possible, say, this evening. She will fly via the royal squadron at my expense. May she continue her charity work in the Ctan also? I must also tell you that you will probably recieve huge amounts of foreign currency as people book into your hotels to be there when she arrives. So, good luck with her!

Of course she will be able to continue her charity work here, and indeed, it has been suggested that given her interests and those of your nation, she could provide a valuable figurehead and patron for environmental charities and companies, some of which specialise in export and have considerable experience. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10348344&postcount=44) It would be our pleasure to arrange for Alexandra to be ensconced in honorary roles related to some of these groups, presumably with the result of preferential trade with Toremal. We predict that the Hereditary Grand Duchess’ presence in Menelmacar and the C’tan will provide a substantial interest in trade with Toremal (both ways) and possibly an extensive market for Toremali workers in our nation(s).

We are quite certain that Vinyatírion (the capital of Menelmacar) is capable of handling an increase in what is usually a fairly large tourist volume, but nevertheless, we thank you for the information. We shall do what we can to ensure that all goes smoothly for such visitors and that they enjoy themselves.

Additionally, what kind of entourage does the Grand Duchess usually have, and how many will be accompanying her in her ‘exile?’ Also, do you wish her to be able to visit Toremal in the future, or do you plan a permanent exile?

Rather than keep asking, I'll give you everything you possibly need to know.
She officialy has an Environmental Advisor, but she tend sto leave him behind, as she knows more than he does, so that won't matter.
She will need someone from Ctan to help her throughout the first few months.
She tends to have between 50-100 privately employed servants, and we could share that - 50 tormalins, 50 Ctanis?
HRH also has a make-up lady, who tends to be needed every morning and afternoon.
Six Lords of the Household (aka Chancellor of the Household of the Heir, Steward of the wellbeing and livelihood of the heir etc, etc).

OOC: Some form of advisor can easily be arranged. She’s quite welcome to bring her full staff, if anything, this is encouraged, as it would be rather unkind to not offer the option of remaining in employment to all those existing staff. Her official function I imagine, would depend entirely on what she wants to do. To a large degree, hosting her is an act of eleemosynary, and so she’s not actually expected to do anything. That said, she’s entirely welcome to take on (within reason) any official or state duties she wishes to do for the C’tan, or to remain as a private citizen. In the short term, I forsee her staying in one existing royal palace or another, in the longer term, dependant on the success of any amorous ambitions she may have, moving to the estate of some other person, or being granted some appropriate residence of her own. Certainly something in the same Cambodian style could be constructed if she wishes it.

Her Royal Higness has made it clear that she honours the memory of her late husband of six months, whoi tragically passed away in private, and, as such, wil only marry if duty makes it so.
In terms of her exile, she will probably be allowed home once a year, and her younger brother His Excellency Chancellor of the Realm, HRH Prince Alexander has expressed a wish to stay in your nation for the first few weeks to provied some support - he shall arrive as soon as you say he can.

Thanks, Margaret. You can see on to my left Alexandra as she takes her last look at Toremal, the nation which abandoned her by the express order of the Grand Duchess.
She may be her Her Former Serene Highness, Princess of San Maritia & Her Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duchess of Toremal, but here she is simply The Heir - the only one they've ever known. It is hard to imagine Toremal without HRH ready in the background to sort out problems from the usually inept administration. But now we must, as she is gone in what is rumoured to be permanet exile.
Her brother His Excellency HRH Prince Alexander is said to be joinging her soon. She shall land within the hour, and we will be on scene to give you more information.

Grand Duchess Maria stared, annoyed, out of the window at the streets,houses and vehicles which had been coated in black drapes - "why could that stupid cow Alexandra not just leave quietly - the nation seemed to think she was dead. Tomorrow, or when she'd finished this wine, she'd order them taken down and appear on TV with a speech about how much better it was now she was gone - no matter what her borther (the wretch), the people (unwashed peasants) and her sister (the softie charity worker) thought - I know what I'm DOING", she thought, hurling her cup out the window. If only that was Alexandra down there, crushed to death.

Reporters clamered round the Heir waving microphones, screeching at her

OOC: Can you describe what sort of reception Her Highness gets when she lands? I don't know your nations opinion on HRH.

The airport to the north of Vinyatírion was a very small one, and its speciality was in receiving dignitaries. On the other side of one of the mountains surrounding the city, visitors didn’t get much of a look at the metropolis’ assorted lights and sounds, instead it showed off the extensive temperate forests outside the city, and some of the smaller settlements that surrounded it. The runways here were largely scaled for ‘business jet’ sized things, but regardless, the plane was quite easily accommodated.

Waiting around the traditional red carpet were a moderately large guard of honor dressed variously in purple, carmine and crimson cloaks over one shoulder, dependant upon exactly which unit, branch, and so forth that they came from. Standing at the bottom of the ramp, Elash, tall and white haired, looked down at the base of the stairway with a little annoyance. They’d got it a centimetre of so off from the carpet.

She waited, and lightly fingered the roll of bound immigration papers at her side, fidgeting boredly and glaring at the slightly-off carpet as she waited for them to finish opening the aeroplane. A few moments later, the band struck up, and she looked up. There was something of a surprising press gathering there, too, the tale of the new arrival had clearly attracted quite a significant amount of interest.

Grand Duchess of Toremal Arrives
Today the Hereditary Grand Duchess Alexanda of the Grand Duchy of Toremal arrived in the Vinyatírion Governmental Airport. As a guest of the Elenaran, she is reputedly headed here to Duat, as well. The Grand Duchess is well known in her home country for charitable works, and is considerably more popular than her reigning sister…

OOC: This was pretty neat, but do you intend to go much futher? I'd just assume she settles in nicely, etcetra...

HRH Hereditary Grand Duchess alexandra has been sent into exile due to the fact that, though without her support, there have been considerablely large amounts of plots to put her on the throne. She was deemed a threat to national security, and was orignally going ot be married off, but at the last minute the plan changed and the Hereditary Grand Duchess was sent in exile to the C'tan. S far she lives happily ever after...
