I'm thinking of starting a pirate rp
past tech- 1660's
It will start once the following groups are set up
Each rper most one of these roles
more roles may be added later

each player will roleplay an admiral of a four ship fleet
what nation you pick determine your strength and weakness and special ship
the rp will revolve around the characters on your ships

England-imperial isa
France-mandalorians
Spain-
Netherlands-brydog
Natives-
Pirates-The redbaron
Pirates-

England is a military focused nation with powerful ships
powerful cannons
Special ship (only this nation can use this ship type)-Ship of the line (holds the most crew and cannon of any ship)

France is an average jack of all trades type nation
Powerful land defense
Special ship- Brig of war (average ship, equal parts speed and power)

The Netherlands focuses on trade and smuggling
Amazing bartering and sneaking skill
Special ship-mail runner (blockade runner, can disguise itself as another group)

The Native are a technological backwards group that is good at close combat
powerful units
Special ship- war canoe (fast but weak ship used as a transport)

The pirates are inventive group who use improvised and experimental weapons.
The pirates strike fear into their enemies.
Special ship- Royal Sloop (fast ship used to board enemy ships)

Spain is an economic powerhouse that focuses on transporting goods to the old world.
large amounts of money
Special ship- treasure galleon (largest cargo hold of any ship)

If you are going to play a Pirates Rp... you should make it a character RP instead of a country RP. The way it seems laid out here is more like a video game...

Over night a large fog bank had appeared, sepperating the small captured spanish brigantine frow the rest of the pirate fleet.

"To full sails! The wind is picking up"

"But captain we don't have a heading"

"Just get us out of this fog bank!"

The small brigantine began to pick up speed as its sails caught the wind.
Finally the ship had made it out of the fogbank, its square sails pushing the fog aside.

"Captain, we got a problem"

Captain Sydney looked over the bow to see an ocean full of fire and splintered wood. It was a ship graveyard and the ships it held where the remains of Sydney's fleet.

But the situation was about to get worse.


"English Warship! Port side!"

i know that was just to set up a starting point

"man all guns" order the captain
men start to run around deck following the orders
gun ports open and gun push fored for battle

And how, pray you tell me, do you plan on sinking an island?

Meanwhile, my force is composed of:

-32 Carronades (calibers ranging from 12 to 24 Pounders).
-40 Cannons aka "Long Guns" (12 to 32 Pounders)
-Crews to attend and fire the cannons
-150 Royal Marines & Redcoats
-Officers
-Base Commander (Commodore)
-Plenty of ammo and supplies.

In case of emergency, all civilians can be rounded up and taken into the fort for protection.

Remember the Fort in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl?

OOC: Yes, the Black Pearl sacked Port Royale. However, they by no means sank it, and it should be remembered, probably the only reason they were so successful upon raiding it was due to the fact that they were fricking skeleton/zombies!

And yea the Frigging Brits couldnt even get one hit on the Black Pearl and they had like 200 cannons. GOD
