Just an idea for the moment:

Ok, the here's the background. The year is 1946, and the Second World War is still raging. Despite the Soviet advance through Eastern Europe, Germany had not given in, and with rocket and jet planes in the sky, and massive armoured beasts on the ground, it was fighting a desparate, yet technologically advanced war. Surrounded by Russia on the east, and the Allies on the West it had been running out of time. However, it gained two new allies. Turkish forces in the Mediterranean and Black Sea had opened up a second front against the Soviets, and an Iberian Alliance consisting of Spanish and Portuguese Facist Armies had invaded Southern France, and were supporting Italian and German forces in southern Italy. Japan was still in control of a lot of East Asia, and Nationalist and Communist Forces split China in two. ANZAC forces were engaged in Papua New Guinea, whilst American fleets engaged Japanese fleets in a battle for the Pacific. In France, Paris had been liberated, and de Gaulle installed as the French leader, but American, British, and Canadian forces were still stationed there in the battle for the Ardenes and the Rhine.

What I like best about this is Spain joining the war - very rare to see someone do that.

Germany would be VERY close to being devastated at this point, running out of manpower and materials, under constant attack from bomber raids. Although I think Germany would've had dirty nukes by now to attack New York maybe....hmm there's a thought

Germany is under constant attack, but in this timeline, Hitler was not foolish enough to make the Me-262 into a bomber, so over the skies of Germany at least, Germany has some control.

Here's what is currently happening in the western theatre:

US troops are involved in battles in the Pacific, southern Italy, Benelux, and on the Germany/French border
British (includes all Commonwealth troops outside of the Pacific) troops are involved in battles on the German/French border, Gibraltar, southern Italy, and the Middle East.
French troops are involved in battles in the south of France and the Middle East.

German troops are involved in battles in Denmark, Benelux, German/French border, German/Poland border, Czechoslovakia, southern Italy and Yugoslavia.
Italian troops are involved in battles in southern France, Yugoslavia and southern Italy.
Turkish troops are involved in battles in Greece, Middle East, and Caucasus.
Iberian troops are involved in battles in Gibraltar and southern France.

Soviet Russian troops are involved in battles in Caucasus, Polish/German border, Greece and Czechoslovakia.
Yugoslavian troops are involved in battles in Yugoslavia.

National armies are also at work in Greece, Finland, Denmark, and Norway.



I have 7 people who've said they'd participate so far.

ust a little note, USA has the A-Bomb, but it has only been tested om Nevada so far, and public opinion is against it due to the aftermath. They also have the B-36 intercontinental bomber. Germany has submarine launched missiles (this is something they were developing, and was a varient of the V-2)capable of hitting the US Eastern Seaboard, but as of yet has not used them. It also has rocket and jet planes, and the only other side with Jet planes is, of course, the UK. However, German technology can eventually be sent to Japan, and technology can be shared between the western allies as well.

By the way, Hitler has been killed, Donitz is in his place, and Mussolini has just been victim of a coup.

I hate A-bombs if you can promise that there will be no "I nuked all your cities" I'll join.

Of course there might be some bombs, but not on that kind of scale. Basically, USA has detonated one in Nevada, but public opinion is largely against them, and Germany could possibly develope a dirty bomb eventually.

Which nations are taken? I could be interested, depending on who has claimed what.

EDIT: In this scenario, apart from Japan controlling much of East Asia, what has happened it the rest of the Pacific? Has Midway been fought? If so, who won? Are the Americans island hopping? If so, how far have they got?

You have to understand Spain has large debts because of the civil war. That's one of the reasons Spain didn't enter WWII.

Yes, but with Germany offering it Me109s, FW 190s, MP40s etc, Spain and Portugal enter.

USA won Midway, but the events in western Europe take more and more men, so they aren't making so much progress with their island hopping.

Also, the Soviets and Western Allies don't trust each other one bit. The Greek Civil War will happen early in this timeline, and will be a possible flashpoint for Soviet/Western forces. The conflict in China will also create further tensions between them.

I am RPing all of the stuff that happens outside the PC nations. Bear in mind though, that the RP started in 1946, so all the alternate WW2 events prior to that are of my creation, and I will be writing them up.

Right now, UK, Soviet Russia, Italy, and the Iberian Alliance are all taken. Turkey, France, and Germany are kind of taken, but if I don't see anything from the people who are playing them in the next two days, they will also become available.

Right now, I could do with a Japan, a Nationalist China, a Communist China, and a USA. Others available on request.

In that case, can I have Japan? I want to pwn some American pigdogs.

The Vatican provided a place for refugees, and I can use the Vatican bank for people to store things. Some lower level people might be corrupt too.

My vacation ends soon.. then I'll be gone from 8 to 4 and on the weekends, I'll have to do my side job and I'll have other things to do... **Realizes July is better than August eternally and in every way...** no convincing myself otherwise anymore... I like vacation too much for that lying to myself. Cuz it's about doing as I want... Of course, the closer I am to the end, the better it seems to be... then again, 1 weekend's side job is enough for 6 mos of NS2 if at $5.
