The Government of the DPRI
REVOLUTIONARY LEADER: Đào Thị Cam
Đào Thị Cam, the woman who led the people against the Vietnamese-supremacist leader Trần Hữu Dũng, has asserted herself as the most powerful person in all of Indochina. "Comrade Đào" has no set limits on her power, and can override the rulings of any other leader. All National Assembly legislation passes through her, and she can even propose, vote on, and pass laws by herself.
However, it won't always be like this; Cam has declared that when she dies, the position of Revolutionary Leader will be abolished. However, considering she is barely out of her twenties, she will rule for a very long time if all continues as it has.
PRESIDENT: Liễu Văn Sơn
In stark contrast to the all-powerful Revolutionary Leader, the President of Indochina has almost no power at all. The function of the position is mainly ceremonial; the president visits other countries, speaks in front of the UN on occasion, kisses babies...but so does the Revolutionary Leader. In other words, the president is just a sock puppet position.
PRIME MINISTER: Mai Đức Triết
The Prime Minister of the DPRI is, on paper, the head of the executive branch. The Revolutionary Leader is in practice the head of the executive branch, though, so the Prime Minister is something of a vice president of the country. However, Cam is not that intrusive, so Triết generally does the duties written in the Constitution of the DPRI.
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY:
The National Assembly is made up of 299 representatives. The Socialist Worker's Party of Indochina, obviously, holds every single seat. 75 representatives come from Vietnam, 75 come from Laos, and 75 come from Cambodia. The remaining 74 are representatives from the SAR of Kampuchea Krom; 37 are Vietnamese and 37 are Khmer.
The National Assembly is the second-highest governing body in Indochina, next to, of course, Cam. Khambulatom Oomau, a Lao, presides over the assembly as Chairman. If a decisive majority cannot be reached, he makes the decision whether or not the National Assembly should pass the law.
THE SWPI:
The SWPI is the omnipresent "Party." On almost every street corner, SWPI propaganda posters are taped to streetlights, telephone poles, walls, the works. The Party will actually hire graffiti artists to spraypaint propaganda on walls. The Party flag flies wherever the national and/or republic flags fly as well.
Nguyễn Công Minh is the General Secretary of the SWPI. While he is supposed to be the most powerful individual in the party, the Revolutionary Leader is obviously more powerful.
VIETNAM:
Vietnam is the largest republic in Indochina. So as to not place the capital in any particular republic, Hà Nội is directly governed by the DPRI, while the capital of the Vietnamese Republic is Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. The governor of Vietnam, Bùi Sinh Anh, holds a dismal, not-too-important job, in which most of his decisions are made by the federal government anyway.
LAOS:
The Lao Republic, capital Vientiane, governor Xaab Vaaj, is the second-largest Indochinese Republic. Because it has no coast, Laos is where most arms factories are located in the country.

Diplomacy (complete with quotes from govt. officials)
South American Union (Pending Ally): "The SAU is at the forefront for stabilizing the world and putting a stop to the ridiculous colonialism the world has allowed to become commonplace."
-Prime Minister Mai Đức Triết
Dweladelfia prime (Pending Ally): "Our Dweladelfian comrades once sided with imperialists, but they have seen the light and joined the IAWS in the mission to stop the instability of today's world."
-Chairman Khambulatom Oomau
Scotland (Pending Ally): "Scotland is also a comrade of the IAWS who hopes to put down the imperialism of today, and we of the DPRI respect that."
-Governor Seng Phirun (Cambodia)
Kopparbergs (Warm): "While their moves into Niger/Nigeria are not popular with us, we are supported by them in our quest to stop the Warta Endorian imperiaists, and that can't be undervalued."
-Party General Secretary Nguyễn Công Minh
PR Arabica (Warm): "The People's Republic of Arabica has overseen the changes of a backwards theocracy into a democracy, all the while fighting insane fundamentalist terror, and that must be respected."
-Governor Bùi Sinh Anh (Vietnam)
Alif Laam Mim (sp?) (Neutral): "The Emirate is very religious, and religion is often the trigger of wars, now less than in the past, but it still happens. Still, they are not warlike and seem to be of no harm."
-Foreign Minister Proum Sokha
Confederacy (Neutral): "It seems like whenever there's an America, there's counter-revolutionaries. Still, I'd prefer one stable country to fifty unstable ones, though we have hopes for an independent Hawai'i."
-Governor Xaab Vaaj (Laos)
Sharina (Neutral): "Well, they've done a good job putting together their in-shambles nation, although we don't like the unfree Hawai'i."
-Revolutionary Leader Đào Thị Cam
Sistan (Neutral): "I don't know what to tell you about Sistan, although it is an empire, we do not know of any plots to expand by force."
-Chairman Khambulatom Oomau
TG6R (Cold): "These guys are imperialists in a big way, and we in the Democratic People's Republic don't take to that. They support the Warta Endorians in their breaches of international law, which is horrible for our revolution and for the world."
-President Liễu Văn Sơn
Boer Republic (Cold): "The Boer Republic is a minority regime of the worst kind, calling its African neighbors 'anarchic' and 'corrupt,' all the while not even peeking inside their own borders. Their invasion of the Republic of Namibia only reinforces our hatred."
-Foreign Minister Proum Sokha
Great Romeo (Frigid): "Ah, Great Romeo. The great hypocrites of the world. They invade to 'liberate' Serbs so they can oppress the nation they live in. They call us 'paranoid,' then call us 'anti-Serb.' Hey, Vlade, did you know the DPRI was anti-Serb? I sure didn't..."
-Revolutionary Leader Đào Thị Cam
Warta Endor (Furious): [censored for excessive profanity]
-Worker forced to evacuate Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh due to an imminent WE invasion.

Diplomacy (complete with quotes from govt. officials)
OOC: This was very funny to read! Good work!
Sistan (Cold): "This nation's imperialistic invasion of the sovereign nation of Iraq cannot go without the ire of the world, although it does, which saddens our nation."
-Chairman Khambulatom Oomau
OOC: Iraq wasn't sovereign in any sense of the word. It was occupied by TGSR and Vineyard, with TGSR in complete administrative control. TGSR signed Iraq over to Sistan.
