OOC: Though I extend my invitation to the Toopoxians in the first place, any other leader is welcome as well, I am certain there are things we can discuss. I for one, would like to know whether I own the Sinai or Toopoxia does, which was the original reason for this meeting.

I, Generalfeldmarshall Walter von Lossberg, would like to invite the leader of Toopoxia to Damascus, the capital of our glorious Empire for diplomatic talks. It would be the first of such kind since my appointment as leader of this nation and it would be a great honour to open my doors for you.
As you probably know, for neighbours it is important to have a good relationship and possibly even more in a politically fragile world. With a better understanding of eachothers interests and military cooperation we can protect those interests and cover eachtothers back.

Signed
Walter von Lossberg

OOC: No need to return a message, start from the doors of the palace and make of it what you think would look nice. Its probably a Western, Gothic style place
Offcourse there will be lots of guards to protect tmy leader and his advisors: Black uniforms with white belts, the more the merrier.

Opting to descend from his mountainous home in the alps, Saacon Ralpmet was actually looking forward to this. While officially neutral and abstaining from armed conflict, only a fool would ignore the rest of the world. Besides, this could prove to be fun. Saacon loved the ins and outs and intrigues of politics, it was the best game one could play. And he always played to win. Walking down the enormous hall, he was flanked by a pair of guards. Mercenaries, really, they had been horridly expensive to secure. But if they're resumes were accurate, they were well worth the price.

After wandering around for a while, he decided to see if he could find whoever was in charge of the premisis at the moment. Not who owned it, of course, but hte man acting as majordomo. Saacon was feeling a little tired and was also curious as to when these talks would begin. He had never before met these men, and it might be educational to observe them.

The T-model Ford pulled up outside the fantastic palace, the car was in fantastic shape with a gleaming naval blue paint job and the Toopoxican symbol adorning the hood, Russo Du'Font waited until the door had been opened by the dark blue suited soldier, he then pulled down his leg and got out of the vehicle, it wasn't that he was too poor to afford a more modern transport it was simply that he loved this car particularly.
IndentRusso was flanked by soldiers of the Organisation on either side, he looked up at the ornate palace, it was unlike any local architecture he had ever seen, the old ruins of the former Volitaian nation could not have lived up to this style, but still there was a certain dislike for the building, it seemed foreign and alien to him, he couldn't wrap his head round the design.

Still in his quest to find tyhe head servant or whomever, Saacon noticed the arrival of the Toopoxican car. Ah, he thought, a collector. Seeing someone emerge and enter also flanked by guards, he turned to his own and told them to remain where they were and to be watchful. He then walked by himself up to the new arrival. Extending his hand, he said "Greetings, I am Saacon Ralpmet. I am here to observe these talks and represent what interests, if any my government has. By the way, I like your car."

"You are not a Vollmerian, why should my concerns lie with you?" Russo harshly responded, he was a very busy man and he could not have dealings with any nation other than his own right now, this meeting however did represent his own interests as it concerned allies, allies were as important as the nation seeking them, without allies the world would be in turmoil and that could not be seen by any Toopoxican no matter the circumstances required to stop it from happening, judging by the mans accent he came from a place which refused to have allies, this man walked hand in hand with chaos and this just proved his blunt ignoring of him.

(OOC: all actions are IC, if I were RPing a friendlier person then I'd love to chat with your dude but it's within the best interests of flashing out my character to insult you, I mean no OOC offence dude.)

Totally taken aback by the abrupt manner this uncultured heathen possesed, Saacon withdrew his hand. Decorum demanded he retain at least a facade of politeness, however, and prevented him from striking the cretin for his impertenance. Movving out of the man's way, he resumed his search for whomever was in charge. Obviousely this new arrival was not from a very enlightened nation, and thus not worth his time. One of his social class did not consort with lowbrow personages such as this supposed emmissary. Saacon suddenly found himself rooting for Vollmeria in these negotiations.

The Kirisuban foreign minister Ito Kaede was flanked by two female guards of the Imperial body guard as she got out from her hire car.

the guards wore their usual red and black military uniform of a black knee length skirt, red blouse and a black tunic. the cap also had a red band round it and they wore the swords of a samurai as well as holstered automatic pistol.

Ms Ito wore a pale blue kimono tied at the back and looked comfortable, the middle aged woman looking totally unruffled as she made her way to the house. her hair was up and held in place by two hair sticks and some grey was beginning to appear.

She expected that the news of the Swallow's debut flight would be a source of questions.

she ran into the Arcadeon delegate and bowed to him.

ReichsKommisar Koch Erpach was late, the Generalfeldmarshall had given him and his servants instructions for the upcoming talks talks, so many in fact that the ReichsKommisar almost forgot to welcome the guests, which was his task. Very unusual for him, to be late for anything.
Koch Erpach was a distingiushed officer of the Empire and the leader of its policeforces. a Vollmerian ultranationalist, who had no love for other cultures save those similar to his.

ReichsProtektor Hammerstein Eqourd, the second in command in the Vollmerian Empire had noticed his collegue's obligations and together with his guards, he took over the task of welcoming the guests.
Hammerstein Eqourd was much more openminded than the ReichsKommisar, as commander of Vollmeria's forces, he had no political agenda and respects all other cultures, as each culture or country has its own strong elements that could prove powerful in a war.

At the front doors, he found his guests from Toopoxia, Arcadeos and Kirisubo. He saw how the Kirisuban delegate bowed to the Arcadean one and gave them the opportunity to meet, Hammerstein Eqourd marched over to the Toopoxican delegate
"Welcome to Damascus, I am ReichsProtektor Hammerstein Equord."

"Thank you for your warm welcome, I am Russo Du'Font, of Toopoxia, I would like as soon as possible to get these talks underway if you don't find it an offence." Russo stayed static throughout his requests, it was as if he was refusing to give anything away from his face, he had played poker before, he knew that so0me diplomats revelled in playing it so that they could exploit weaknesses but he was not like that and instead focussed on not playing into thier hands.
Vollmeria
01-08-2006, 13:38
"Very well" the ReichsProtektor said as he looked at the other delegates. Koch Erpach was already on his way so it was ok to go inside and start the talks between Vollmeria and Toopoxia privately.
"Please follow me, the Generalfeldmarshall awaits in the great hall"
With his guards on his sides and behind him he led Russo Du'Font through the palace and to the great hall where the Vollmerian leader was still ordering his servants around.

The noise of the boots on the marble tiles did not go unnoticed and he turned to his guest, he put his cigar in one of the ashtrays and took a sip from the glass of wine he was holding before he gave it to one of his servants.
He adressed the delegate with his always authoritarian voice "Russo Du'Font, I presume?"
Toopoxia
01-08-2006, 14:18
"You Presume correctly, I understand these talks are over who claims the Sinaii." Not one to waste time with idle banter Russo pulled a scroll of paper from out of his briefcase, "This is a map of the Volitaian empire circa 1300's, around the time that we the Toopoxicans came, it is a little crude in details but I assure that this peninsula." There was an odd looking thin shapein the top right corner of the map "is the Sinaii, this proves our claim to the Sinaii dating back over 600 years ago."
Vollmeria
01-08-2006, 14:35
Even if he could not deny this claim, the generalfeldmarshall was about to give up his efforts so easily.
"You do not plan to waste time... good neither do I."
"It is not a question of what history tells us, My navy needs free passage into the Red sea to protect our lands there and the Seuz seems to be the only way out for us."
"What do you want in exchange for the Sinai? Military cooperation? an alliance? weapons and technology? Support in the attack on another nation?"
Toopoxia
01-08-2006, 14:53
"It seems true that a conflict is upon us whether we would choose it or not, however I am not willing to completly surrender Sovreign lands so quickly, I will offer a 20 year ownership deal on the Suez canal in exchange for weapons and equipment, we specifically require sub-machine-guns, machine-guns, aircraft and military advisors." The loss of a small amount of territory for the possibility of gaining more territory, why wouldn't this deal be perfect to the claculating mind of Russo.

"A wise choice" The generalfeldmarshall said, not entirely what he had hoped for but atleast he could move his ships around while prohibiting others to follow him.
"submachineguns, machineguns, aircraft and advisors, that is all possible."
"Though when I send advisors of the military kind, I expect a cooperation of some sort, a pact for instance that makes us allied."

The ReichsProtektor was quick to jump into the discussion when weapons were mentioned, especially since he wanted to procure as many weapons as he could for his own troops "What exactly does Toopoxia want? Do we have to produce those small arms or will you do it yourselves? And what specificly did you have in mind for aircraft? fighters?"

Do we have to produce those small arms or will you do it yourselves? And what specificly did you have in mind for aircraft? fighters?"

"A pact is highly reasonable." Russo simply put back, he looked at the Reichsprotektor who asked him what he wanted, "Fighters, yes, a strong defence means that we will be able to move in with our bombers, we will be producing our own sub-machine-guns but we would like to have a supply in order to take the load off of our factories and production centers, we will also be supplying our own Side-arms and rifles."
Vollmeria
01-08-2006, 16:50
"Our nation has no standard pistol, only standard cartridges, but we could supply Toopoxia with some of the best models from our market and you can pick whichever you believe to be a good one. As for rifles, we have only our bolt action K31 with 5 round magazine, it fires an 8mm round. If you wish to license produce that rifle, that would be no problem. We'd have no problem supplying Machineguns either, we have some in reserve."

The ReichsProtektor remained silent for a moment while he tried to remember the amounts that the Empire produced and then continued: "We might be able to provide you with a first batch of Machinepistols while your production centers start up their own supply. The MP35 is a fine weapon and thus you must understand that we can supply only limited numbers of this mlachinepistol as it is in great demand. We have few stocks of them."
"Providing Fighter planes will be no problem, we can easily spare a number of them and supplement them."

As he finished his sentence the Generalfeldmarshall continued his conversation: "I suggest there'd be an alliance between our nations, so that my military advisors can help your army become one of the best... alongside the Vollmerian army offcourse."

In the meantime, ReichsKommisar Koch Erpach arrived at the front doors where the other delegates waited, seeing as the Generalfeldmarshall was already engaged in a discussion with the Toopoxican delegate, it would be ok to bring the other guests into the great hall.
"Welcome to Damascus gentlemen, I am ReichsProtektor Koch Erpach, If would like to follow me, the GeneralFeldmarshall awaits us."
Toopoxia
01-08-2006, 16:59
"I am afraid you don't understand we will be supplying our own Pistols and Rifles and so we will not need those, but we are interested in these MP's and the submachine-guns, we will also take the fighters, and accept your offer of an alliance."
Vollmeria
01-08-2006, 17:17
"Ah I must have misunderstood that, no problem, it makes the whole deal easier," Hammerstein Eqourd said as he smiled "I will make sure the first batch of small arms will arrive within a week."
And while ReichsProtektor walked over to his servants, whom he asked to bring wine, cigars and food, the Generalfeldmarshall kept his guest busy with his alliance: "I would like to know what Toopoxia's interests are, what does your nation wish to achieve in this world, politicaly and militarily?"
Toopoxia
01-08-2006, 17:22
"Toopoxia will remain as its rather isolationist state, but with the imminent threat of a war coming we will also be expanding militaristically, I cannot give away too much information." Russo took a cigar from one of the servants and twidled it in his hand.
Vollmeria
01-08-2006, 17:35
One of the servants brought von Lossberg his own cigar, the generalfeldmarshall took his lighter out of his pocket, lighted up his cigar and offered a fire to Du'Font.
"Isolationist? Probably works too." He said while he thought about the allaince he just offered. The only advantage he got out of it was that one of his borders was secure and the Hochseeflotte could move freely. But maybe he could get more out of this nation in the future.
"As long as you do not walk in our way when we focus our attention on the lands North of us, I am happy with it."

Generalfeldmarshall von Lossberg saw all the delegates and tried to figure out which ones were the nationalist types such as himself and which the others. Alliances and deals were best struck with likeminded governments.
While he saw some of the delegates talk to eachother, he also noticed one was not joining in any of the conversations and thought this might be a likeminded spirit, a possible ally.

He left his ReichsProtektor to continue his dealings with Toopoxia and walked over to the Alexander. Von Lossberg wasnt quite sure whether this delegate was as direct as Du'Font, which the generalfeldmarshall actually regarded as a good characteristic, as he did not like politics himself. Von Lossberg played the game of politics and intrigue only because it was a necessary step in gaining allies and influence.
"Mister Alexander? From Brydog?"
"I am Generalfeldmarshall Walter von Lossberg, welcome to my small palace."
Von Lossberg snapped his fingers and two servants stepped up to bring wine and cigars to Alexander
"Please enjoy our cigars, probably not as good as Cuban ones, but still..."

"The Federal Republic of Brydog..." von Lossberg said while he enjoyed the wine from his own cellar, dranking a whole glass and asking for a refill.
"Our nations were not on the same side during WW1, but that is history and our previous governments have never been really strong anyway. Today, the Empire is working its way to the top of the military ranking."
"Maybe in the future we could be on the same side..."
Brydog

"It's actually The Liberal Democratic Republic of Brydog." he replies.

"Liberal Democratic Republic?" von Lossberg responds while he thinks about the weak rubbish the liberal presidents and governments spewed before 1935 and the creation of the Vollmerian Empire.
"What is the Liberal Democratic Republics stance on nationalist nations such as our Empire?"
Brydog
02-08-2006, 16:00
"We happen to be nationalist ourselves, We tend to accepted them as long as they don't infringe on the people's freedom and respect other people's cultures and apperances." he replied. "Oh, we also have a dislike to fasicist and/or racist governments"

"Yes, well that still does not minimize how momentous an event it was. And now you must be even more watchful of others. I'm sure many people and many governments would love to get their hands on such an invention, or at least the blueprints of one." "Then, Mister Romanov, it will be good to hear that we are not fascist or racist, though I do admit we have a tendency to regard our own nation as the better one on this globe, many of our citizens are from other cultures and have a different skincolor" von Lossberg answerred, adding
"Immigrants too find our nation and society to be one of the better, they have fully integrated themselves and are now proud Vollmerians."
"If our nations cooperate with eachother, and we improve the relations between them, then we could get to know eachother and who knows... we might even become allies."

"we haven't had to fight a war since 1450 AD because we kept strong allies in the region as well as modern defence forces. thats why we're working on a jet fighter so we can be a step ahead of everyone else.

Still if anyone does try to invade us and the mongol hordes tried a few times we will fight back hard but will maintain our neutrality until then. we may be at peace but we have a long warrior tradition and we never surrender"

The first, last, and foremost item at hand is if you will be willing to give us, a nod if you'll say, that you will continue to be a capitalist and a stronghold of logic (i.e. Pro-Bradenburgen).

Monetary.... incentives, will be of course provided and if you will so kind to lower tariffs of imported goods, mostly complex machines of the automobile sort, I will be glad.

we welcome diplomatic and economic relations with Bradenburg and offcourse, we will offer special tarrifs so that trade between our nations may flourish, we will offer you the best machinery and vehicles available in the world.

The Vollmerian Empire will even provide good arms at reasonable prices, should the Prussian State be under attack.
