General of the Army, Władysław Sikorski, Supreme commander of the 1st army group, had received word that a class 5 nation had been discovered. Encompassing nearly 1,000 square miles with only a token population, the nation was deemed an affront to civilization. It also was in a tropical location, and Carpathia Ziemowit had been clamoring for a tropical colony for some time. He had the printout on his desk infront of him. It read:
"To: Gen. Władysław Sikorski
From: Mer des Ennuis High Command
Subj: Mobilization Orders

You have been ordered to mobilize Army Group 1 and Army Group 2 in preparation for an invasion of the lands formerly known as "International Lesbians." You are to seize as much of the territory as possible. The population is considered hostile and must be dealt with. The Amphibious Assault Groups will be docking in Le Porte Grande."

As the General was reading his orders, Mer des Ennuis Air Command was alerted, and designed a strike mission for Earth Array 1. As soon as the combat parameters were uploaded, 100 SuB-4 "Sonic" and 50 SuB-5 "Super Hurricane" bombers were dispatched to pave a way for the 2 million man army and the 880 ships that would soon be assaulting their western seaboard.

"It's perfect!" Vasryn Melith told Halgolth, "Those foolish humans have opened teh door for our Goddesses to take notice apon us in our new Plane! This island...International Lesbians, whatever that means, would be perfect! Our warriors would have fun slaughtering a nation full of human women!"
And so it was. Hatchavin wanted to lead the raid, but Vasryn refused. She sent her daughter, T'rissual, to lead the raid instead.
"You will have an important position nonetheless, my son," she told him, "I am forming a new group for thsi raid. The Spider Shepards. You will lead them. Pick forty warriors and ten Priestesses who can tame spiders and bring thirty Sword Spiders on the raid. Use them to slaughter the villages.Watch them dissapate before yoru eyes as our spiders slice through the humans, stopping only to lick the blood off of their sword-legs and feast apon the bodies."
Hatchavin liked that idea.

There were two islands at the northeast portion of the nation. Half of the Sword Shepards would land there with halfo of the fully armed Warriors, about 250, whereas the other half of the raiding would claim teh other island. Unlike other raids that littered the history of Faerun, this would be for keeps. Teh Drow would keep their holdings and possibly push inland. Halgolth the mercenary had suggested that it would make an excellent air base to start an Air Force.

Hatchavin knew that losing his team of Spiders would be unacceptable. It would cost him his life and Alyae control of House Melith, so he had to make sure the Spiders were protected as they slaughtered the locals.

"I want each Spider accompanied by a Drow at all times," he ordered, "None of them are to be killed. If you lose your Spider and it gets kiled, I'll cut your arm off with my sawed axe."
He wasn't bluffing. He had a nasty axe with sawlike blades at the tip, and he was ready to test it.
They armored up, a light metal armor forged by Duregar to delfect small arms. It could slow a pistol bullet or shotgun pellets at medium range, but a rifle with some serious stopping power or a Magnum would hurt. Gtting hit still wasn't a good idea, but Drow Medical practice was advanced even before they changed Planes. But with the way the Drow moved, any of the resident women with a gun would probably wind up with a bullet in their head or a swordliek leg in their back before they could pull the trigger anyways. They had a small fleet of ships, just enough to carry everyone that was taking in part of the raid, or they had paid off local fisherwo/men to make use of their boat. Using small inflatable rafts, T'rissual's warriors landed first. Darkness consumed the beach as romancers were walking them and teh sun disappeared. They noticed they were with other women, which wasn't unusual to the female warriors and priestesses, who often took both a male and a female lover, usually the latter being someone of equal or greater power or even a sibling. The males didn't seem to mind. When the sun was down, teh rafts landed in the more secluded areas of the beaches. Then larger ships landed on the beaches, unloading the Sword Spiders. The spiders had thick hides as it was; a lower caliber would have trouble penetrating its exoskeleton. The Gray Dwarves had fashioned armor for teh spiders, too, making them doubly tough. Dwarves had a way with metal, so it was heavier than the Drows' armor, but light enough for the spiders to move fluidly. They would be heard on a wooden deck, but they could still catch a fleeing woman.
"Attack, great Spiders!" the pristesses told them, "Have your fill of the pets of teh Faeries! Let blood run down your legs!"
The spiders chirped in agreement and took off, followed by their respective bodygaurds. Gunfire erupted on the beach as the beachgoers were slaughtered. Hapless victims were chased down and sliced to pieces or the Drow shot them as they fled. Police arrived in a matter of minutes with reports of crazy people shooting everyone at the beach and cutting them in two.
"Freeze! Put your hands in the air!" one officer shouted. Hatchavin raised his hands, his gun in one of them.
"Drop it!"
"I think not."
"I said drop teh gun! All of you!"
Hatchavin couyld see several spiders move up the hill on the beach with his darkvision. The cop couldn't see hsi dark eyes move.
"I am the least of your worries."
There was a scream as one of the spiders came up from behind and jabbed its leg into her back. The sharp apendage pierced through the door and it was covered in blood. There was a gunshot and a pink as another officer shot the spider, but the armor slowed the bullet and its tough hide stopped it. Hatchavvin fired at the officer, but only hit her once. He wasn't completely used to firearms yet. It was still enough to buy another spider the time it needed to reach her and sliced her vertically, only to take a shotgun blast at close range. The spider screeched and turned to the gunner and attacked. The spider won, because it rejoined it group, limping on its rear legs. Hatchavin knew the spider wouldn't live, but it would still get some sport from its last few hours.

An explosion could be heard and seen as the Drow used bombs to set the buildings ablaze. Screams could be heard as the peopel within rushed out of teh building, only to be cut or shot down by the Drow or Spiders. The Drow Elves began to disappear from teh streets as tehy went to empty out the buildings, accompanied by their spiders. Few would escape to tell otehrs of th ehorrors they had seen at the hands of the Drow. Soon, however, the Drow on both islands would come face-to-face with the IL military from the main island, leaving it more open for the other nations to attack...

The Valkyries nodded, and began preparing their weapons.

The supreme commander of the People´s Revolutionary Army of Montegrande, Gabriel Vidal, was visibly happy with the orders dispatched from the President himself. Appearently, another stereotypical lesbian nation was threatening the whole world with its lack of originallty and actions had to be taken as soon as possible, and the only solution was armed occupation. Another person that was extremely happy with the news was the chief of experimentation of the Montegrandean ministry of Health, Dr. Natalia Rivera for the montegrandean drug testing studies were lacking subjetcs...
20,000 troops were preparing for attacking as soon as possible the southern part of the island the evil stereotypes lived in. Messages were sent to the enemies ordering to surrender inmediatly. The strategical bombers were ready for destroying the military facilities of the enemy and the morale seemed high enough to conquer an important ammount of territory that should serve as "safe zone" in overcoming conflicts in the disputed territories before reinforcements had arrived. Once the safe zone was created, 5.000 non military medical personnel should arrive to initiate the surveys....

The skies of the Southern beaches of International Lesbians were filled with ordnance as the Imperial Navy bombarded the coast. It was a massive fleet, containing ten aircraft carriers, twelve battleships, two Super Dreadnoughts and several dozen Cruisers and destroyers.

Shells and missiles alike rained down upon the bunkers from both the ships and Tocrowkian fighters. The Reich had quickly established air superiority over the pathetic nation it was invading today, as the enemy used outdated aircraft.

From several dozen miles away, SPACECOM HQ had reported a massive armored force, potentially dangerous to the Reich's landing force. Two Prowler-UCAVs had been dispatched to deal with the threat.

They approached the tank column at super sonic speeds, and left behind four neutron bombs as they sped off into the distance. They all exploded seconds apart, vaporizing dozens of tanks and containing the area with neutron radiation many more times the lethal dose, killing thousands of soldiers as they approached the front.

All in all, it was a pretty good day.

The film crew kept the camera focused on Maria Vasquez, the large "T!" mark on their uniforms showing they were from TNN, an offshoot of the now defunct "Torture solutions INC" They were shooting the final segment of a documentary that was to air that night on a cliff overhanging the beach. "... As you can see, this unique culture of lesbians, must be preserved for future genera... what the hell? Are those... boats?" Indeed they were boats, and a great many boats. "Call in a request for a live feed idiot!" The camera man did what he was told and within seconds they had a live feed to the main studio.

Within seconds the looping twenty-four hour broadcast was interrupted by an annoyingly cute blonde woman."...breaking news today in the small country of International Lesbians where... something is happening. We go to Maria Vasquez in the field. Maria?" "That's right Cindy, a large contingent of boats is rapidly closing on the beach, carrying what appear to be disturbingly large spiders." The camera zoomed in. "We have not been able to reach the government of this nation as of yet but this is clearly a very strange... they appear to be landing now. Some sort of speech? I don't... Oh my God..." She gasped as the spiders began slaughtering the beachgoers and running inland. She quickly regained her composure and continued reporting. "This is obviously some kind of invasion… and one thing is clear, the eyes of the world will be trained on this island for many months to come."

The Arch Arsonist, on confrence call with the lead technician of Earth Array 1, Gen. Sikorski, and Fleet Admiral Iwo Konstantyn. Before him was a large projection of the island nation in question, with a massive grid. Overlays of the bomber wings appeared on it, along with live feeds from the bombers themselves.

The technician was speaking.
"Sir, The lead SuB-5 wing is expected to breach enemy airspace within the next 5 minutes at grid sector B3. Based on coordinates generated by Earth Array 1, This will be a deep penetration strike from D2 to A4."

"Allright, lets see how this thing works." replied the Arch Arsonist.

Earth Array 1, possibly the most powerful supercomputer on earth, controlled almost all of the Mer des Ennusian Airforce. This saved the country millions from not having to train pilots, and was undoublty moe effective at many tasks, but had never been combat tested.

"Sir," spoke Adm. Konstantyn, "We have an amphibious assault group with two batallions of light infantry 15 hours from a deployment position. In preparation for the deposition by air and by sea of the 1st and 2nd army group, we can have them on the ground at sector C3 by night fall."

"And sir," added General Sikorski "The mobilization is going much faster than expected. The first army group was in the processo of total mobilization to relieve the 2nd, which has been on active duty for the past 3 months. We will have partial mobilization ready for shipment by tomorrow, and the rest will be completed by the end of the week."

Carpathia Ziemowit smiled, and began to speak "This is all good news men..."

"I appologize for the interruption sir, but we are getting contact information. Check video feed 2." interrupted the technician.

Video feed 2 showed a live TV image of a village in International Lesbians. The camera auto focused on the tallest structure in town, which was estimated to be a mile ahead. The lead plane in the squadron dropped nearly 25,000 pounds of napalm-d bombs onto the town. Unlike common airburst bombs, Napalm-D bombs contained a 800 pounds of a greatly expanding foam-like mixture that increased in volume more than 200 fold before igniting at over 3,000* celcius, incinerating nearly everything in its path. After a few minutes, most of the napalm cleared, revealing a near-perfectly leveled stretch of ground.

"This is good. Keep it up gentlmen. Dismissed."

All in all, 1,250 towns and villages would be firebombed in this manner.

The five women walked up into the hall of the motel room. Sli randomly fired through a door before kicking it open. The woman inside was slumped in a chair, the bullets had hit her in the stomach and arm. Nali grabbed her hair, pulled her head up and slit her throat. Several other women walked out into the hall, and were cut down. It was the work of about half an hour to clear the floor, and barricade the stairs and elevators with furniture dragged out of the various rooms.

Which was good, because a few moments later, sirens were heard.

Before the montegrandean troops could sail, the central command of the army ordered to back off and abandon the plans of invasion. The use of nuclear weapons in the southen part of the country, the nearest one to the country, had left probably not enough survivors and the number of experimentation subjects wouldn´t be sufficient....

The Drow Elves noticed the Media reporters. One of the Drow elves came up with an idea. They would show the world the wrath of the Drow. T'rissual had ordered her warriors not to harm teh reporters so they could record the invasion, but they were Spider Shepards and not directly under her authority.
Not like she would care anyway.
The reporters soon found themselves in the most dangerous place for a human: Behind the lines. Survivors were being hunted, killed, or captured. As the crews recorded the fight, as part of the plan, one of the Drow turned to the camera. The Elf, unusual to most humans, approached teh Camera and said,
"You're not allowed to be here. If you value your life, you will leave. I could get in trouble just by talking to you, so expect little mercy from any of the others."
---
Older armored vehicles rushed to the frontlines as the Drow pushed foreward, slaughtering residents and imprisoning more of them. The North Island was very secure forteh Drow, but the Eastern island was having trouble, as it was quicker for the military to reach the island. But nonetheless, the IL military stood little change, as anti-armor rockets and bazookas fired from the buildings, destroying the APCs before they coudl deploy. Those that weren't destroyed were met with the gunfire fo the nimble Drow warriors, who mowed them down in the clash. Survivors lost morality and fled, only to be gunned down by ambushing Drow. C4 explosives were placed under the bridges connecting the islands to the mainland and were blown. The islands were now under Drow control.

At the hotel room, the rest of the camera crew was packing up when a bright flash caught their attention. Several of them ran to the window to see what had happened just as the city's sirens went off. "Are those...? It's a mushroom cloud get the camera!"

Cindy appeared on screen again for those watching the broadcast. "We are getting pictures now of what appears to be several low yield nuclear detonations in the south of the country!" The shaky images showed what indeed appeared to be four mushroom clouds. The cameramen were practically giddy, they were almost guaranteed a promotion for this!

After clearing the beach head of all enemy forces, The Reich sent in a massive infantry and tank force to capture as much land as possible in as little time as possible. They did have competition, after all. Meanwhile, fighter planes began bombing near by enemy cities and towns, destroying their infrastructure and any military units. The Reich was capturing dozens of kilometers an hour, moving from town to city, crushing all possible opposition and securing strategic locations along the way.

"Is it worth it for us to intervene yet again?" Asked Moltke, "The last conflict already cost Space Command several hundred million Markes and it will take us a few weeks to replenish our numbers in orbit."

"No Sir, we have reports and satellite images of the deployment of neutron weapons against indigenous forces," Replied the general, "We cannot risk our own forces in a situation like that, it would only end disasterous."

"You're right, Krist, it's just awful that we have to be selective in what sovereign nations the Republic protects from imperialist powers," said the president solemnly, "I suppose this means we can only witness the onslaught in the coming weeks."

The bright light from the nuclear weapons blinded and stunned the Drow for its duration. The fighting halted as spider and Drow alike stopped to deflect their eyes away from the blasts. When the lights died down, the Drow regained his center of balance. He turned and left, only to return a moment later with several Sword Spiders and companions.
"I told you I was more merciful than my companions," he informed them as the Sword Spiders rushed to rip them apart.

OOC: i'm saying this takes place near the north of D2. It would not have been firebombed by drones. Mer des Ennuis rangers are cross trained as infantrymen and swat teams. While not as elite as the deathshead, they are more than competent at siezing buildings and holding out on their own. A typical fireteam consists of 2 riflemen, a grenadier, a designated marksman, and a light machinegun.

The group of 20 V-22 Ospreys, one of the last manned planes in the Mer des Ennuis Airforce, carrying 2 light infantry "ranger" companies, hovered over the town. The target was a good 50 miles from the shore and would make an excellent staging area for part of the invasion force. A pair of light machine gunners hung out the back of each plane, fired at civilians into the town below who appeared to be armed, or were in the wrong place at the wrong time. As the tiltrotor planes began to drop paratroopers into the town below, they stopped fire. Motioning at the large motel below, the squad leader called out:
"Men, drop onto the roof there! We'll secure the building and maybe take a few prisioners!"
The men motioned that they understood, before the leader yelled into his com unit to the rest of the platoon.
"Xeno 2 this is Xeno 1. We are taking that building over there from the roof, we'll need support on the ground."
"Rodger that Xeno 1, we'll back you up."

And with that, the rangers dropped.

The over turned camera continued to roll catching the ruthless murders until one of the spiders deftly cleaved it's lens off.

The rangers on the roof of the hotel kicked open a maintenance door, before decending down the flight of stairs. The ospreys were rapidly flying away from the town, having seen a pair of neutron-bomb clouds in the distance. An NBC decom platoon would have to be airdropped before the end of the day, but as long as the soldiers had dual-filter gasmasks on, they would be fine.

The soldiers kicked down doors along the top floor. The few civilians who were on the floor were bound by plastic tie-style handcuffs, though a few that tried to resist were shot. As this occured, Xeno 2 on the ground broke their way into the main lobby, killing a few startled bystanders who looked a little too agressive. The fighting on the islands calmed down as the military was slowly killed off or captured. In one apartment building, they had acquired a working satellite TV and the Drow that captured the camera and microphone was introduced to it.
"Hey, I'm on the watch-box! Hi, you wael humans!"
He laughed as Cindy ran out of the room.
"Aww, she can't handle the slaughter of her fellow Lesbians, eh? Hahahaha!" he laughed, not knowing what the term Lesbian actually meant.
He heard a sniffelling in a closet and opened it up to see a small child.

How long will that battery last?" He asked the man still holding the camera in his light Hispanic accent. "Three hours from once the power cuts out, and we've got a six-er in the bag." He nodded toward the bag that was now lying wide open on the ground before continuing to shoot. Susan moved into the corner and looked almost like she was going to cry. "I didn't sign up for this! I signed up for a safe documentary about a feminine society! The worst I expected was to be hit on and get a mosquito bite NOT BE SHOT AT!" She was becoming hysterical now, tears began to flow down her face.

Manny moved over and tried to comfort the young woman. "Look, we've got plenty to eat and drink, the door is barricaded, we'll be fine." He touched her hand. "Susan, this is every journalist’s dream. The soldiers continued sweeping the top floors. The building was 7 stories tall, but not terribly big. After they incapacitated, lethally or otherwise, the top two floors, they prepared to take the 5th floor, when an explosion shuddered the building. Light smoke started to come up through the stairwell doors. The building was shaped like a large H, and each fireteam was at a seperate stairwell door.
"All teams, hold. We have explosions in the building. Xeno 2 this is Xeno 1, was that you?" inquired the platoon leader.
"Negative Xeno 1, we have no contact. Repeat no contact."
"Stay on alert. All teams, check your ammo, and move slowly."
They slowly advanced to the 5th floor, one step at a time. The designated marksmen, who would normally fire a selective fire Steyr Aug a3 accurized sniper riflle, now switched to the Franchi Spas-15 combat shotgun they kept strapped to their back. The 20 men slowly advanced down their resperctive doorways, keeping low and checking the pair of room doors they each passed. Once all four teams were ready, four men on each side moved to view the hallway. Infront of them were a number of heavily armed women who were ramming a door.

The anchor involuntarily glanced at his tie. "Who me? Um, couldn't you leave her be? Keep us in suspense?" He tried lamely. What the hell was he supposed to do? The manager took hold of the teleprompter and quickly typed a message. The anchor read the text aloud. "Would... you care to discuss why you are killing innocent humans and ruined a perfectly good camera?"
"Hmm...I'll keep her, in that case. You'll be the first to know of what becomes of her."
He thought of the second and third questions.
"We don't like you. We hate humans with the same hatred that you hate yourselves. Whta beter way than capture, kill, and enslave a nation full of your females? We know how little they are worth to you, but without them, you'll never spread. And we're short of slaves, so this seemed like an ideal oppertunity. This is also kind of rewvenge for teh forty-four warriors that were slaughtered in one of your bars. Not even a dwarf among them! You must have some horrible booze!" The Drow let out a loud, jolly laugh.
"As for the camera, I wanted to keep the camera in tact so you could all watch it. But one of our spiders wasn't going and stepped on its lens. Thankfully this thing-Hey, stop struggling, you little wael! I said STOP IT!"
There was a scream and the sound of the girl getting hit on teh head. There was a thud as she collapsed to the floor.

(I'm guessing this is still the 1st day based on the timeframe of some of the more minor aspects of the RP?)
The soldiers continued sweeping the top floors. The building was 7 stories tall, but not terribly big. One of the men asked "Who in the blue hell are you?"

The women swung to face the newcomers, raising weapons.

Sli discreetly pressed a button on a radio, signaling another, larger, group of Valkyries who were waiting across the street.

"Just some folks trying to save Midgard," said Sli calmly. "Who are you?"

As Nali was holding her gun, her hand moved slowly down to the back of her leg, where a pistol was strapped.

"Hey, I got a joke for ya. How many humans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?"
"It depends on how many other creatures we're slaughtering at the time. We've wiped out entire species without trying. What makes you think you can defeat us this easily?" The anchor wasn't being the most professional person in the world, but they had an exclusive here, they could afford to be sloppy.

******************************************

There was talking outside the door, Manny thought he caught something like "...hell are you?" Something about an armed guard? Was it a force sent to extract them? But that made no sense, it would take days for any Shepmagan forces to get here! Wait... could it be the rest of the camera crew? Manny decided to wait it out. If it was the news team, they at least know the codeword. And if it was a Shepmagan special forces team, they'd signal him using the implants.

The women had raised weapons, causing the four visible men to raise theirs.
"Who is Midgard? And drop the weapons, hands on your head."
They didn't answer, and

At the same time, the leader of the teams hidden behind a wall whispered into his mic.
"Xeno 2 this is Xeno 1, we have contact. Stay alert."
"Rodger Xeno 1."
The ladies didn't answer right away, and one of them appeared to be going for something, probably a hidden gun. One of the four, a grenadier, put a pointer on her. If they tried to shoot, he would blow them to hell.
"We are Mer des Ennusian Army Rangers, and we are laying claim to his town. NOW PUT THE WEAPONS DOWN!" shouted the leader.

While the ships were being recalled to the 4 ports in Mer des Ennuis, 500 SuC-1 Stormbringer ultra-heavy transports were in the process of loading up the 1st corps. They would be able to land at a somewhat large airfield near B4 in preparation to grab as much land as possible. It would take 16 hours to make both runs, and the ground forces of the 10 divisions would be at 90% operating capacity in 4. The main naval lift would start within 12, and would deploy 6 more corps in short order.

"You see, I don't fear death. I know what will happen after death. But I've more work to do on Midgard, and I'd rather not die yet. You're claiming this town? Let us help you."

In the lobby, Xeno 2 leader hit a button on his headset.

"Affirmative. 30 minutes until the next flight lifts off."
"22 Hotel 4."
He hit another button to transmit company wide.

Pointing at a fireteam, he ordered "take them down to the lobby. We'll wait until reinforcements arrive to take them away."

The 15 men in the hallway looked at the door they were ramming. One of the machinegunners holding a halligain tool decided to breach it. Taking a fireaxe mounted on the wall, they proceeded to break open the jam, destroying the lock.

"This is the Mer des Ennusian Army. Please stand away from the door with your hands in the air and you will not be harmed!"

We will not budge unless you can guarantee us freedom to leave this building. We have a camera hooked into a satellite feed, if you kill us footage of our murders will be broadcast around the world." It was a long walk down to the lobby with their new found captives. The five men and their 5 captors made their way down the steps, before one of them asked Spc. Petar "So, soldier boy, are you afraid of death?"

He looked at her through his gasmask/helmet with cold steely eyes. Most men in the Mer des Ennusian Army have been in a dozen battles. Most of the rangers had been in over 100. The only ones who've become more jaded and nihilistic are the deathshead.
"Lady, the fear of death was purged from me long ago. I've seen the slideshow and the light at the end of the tunnel a few times. It bores me now. After a hundred battles, I only see destruction."

The trip down seemed much longer now.
-=-=The Hallway=-=-
The door's hindges were destroyed by the axe, and the door itself was torn through the jam, ripping sections of it off. On the other side was a dresser. Three of the men started to push on it, causing it to slowly slide way from the jam.
The Squad leader called out
"This is the Mer des Ennusian military, and under Order 394 we are claiming these lands for he land of Mer des Ennuis. Carl let the heavy camera hang by it's shoulder strap but neglected to turn it off, hoping to get a shot of the streets as they left. The fireteam pushed over the barricade and entered, the men aiming their Aug A3s and a SAW at the frightened reporters. The team leader, a sergeant, walked forward and checked one of their IDs.
"Allright, relax your weapons men, they are harmless. As foreign nationals, you will not be harmed provided you cooperate. You are free to keep your equipment, provided that you are not in a secure facility. You are furthermore free to act as embedded reporters while you are under our aegis, provided you are not in a secure facility. Now, i'm going to have..."
An explosion send shudders throught the building, followed by calls for a medic.
"Shit, lets move!" he quickly ordered.
-=-=-=-=- The Stairwell -=-=-=-=-

The RPG exploded, sending fragments throughout the confined stairwell as Spc. Petar was sent flying down the stairs. Mer des Ennuisian soldiers are universally, and at great expense to high command, equipped with "liquid armor" and "dragonskin". Liquid armor is a kevlar/spectra blend treated with a "shear thickening liquid"... in other words, it becomes highly viscous when hit with a penetration force. Rather than using conventional ceramic plates, their chest pieces were further strengthened through titanium "dragon skin" type armor. Below all this was a nomex/underamror type padding. However, their balistics glass face pieces were only so strong, and not ment to withstand large impacts.

The explosion tossed the Ennusian soldiers around like rag dolls, killing two of them through massive head trauma. The other 3, Spc Petar included, were near the front of the group, and were lucky to survive. Putting his head light up, he jumped up, powered only by adrenelline. The women were down, and most likely dead. He hit his headset:
"Medic! Medic! We have men down! Repeat men down!"

High in the sky, the fleet of ospreys saw the rocket fly from a building near Xeno 1 and 2's position.
" Attention all units, this is Oscar 14, we have sighted a RPG-type weapon firing at frendiles. We'll chalk some down on the roof. Oscar 13, drop your men on the ground level. Be advised, building may be trapped."
"Oscar 13 and 14, this is Quebec Platoon. We will be ready to storm the building in approximatly 45 seconds."

What was expected to be easy pickings suddenly took a harsh turn.

Spc Petar just finished transmitting when a strong force hit the back of his helmet, knocking him unconscious. Sgt. Gellért sat up, before taking a shot to the chest. He was disoriented, and felt the impact, but didn't think much of it. With the aderenealine pumping through his veins, he wasn't really in the condition to feel any sort of pain. He grabbed his bayonet/knife, aimed at the arm that was shooting at him, and with a quick flick of his wrist, let the blade fly.

Across the street, the first chaulk of 20 men hit the roof of the building the RPG had come from, and hit it hard. A few of the men limped a bit, but shook it off. Skgorria
29-07-2006, 18:14
As conflict and genocide flared all over the island, several aging Skgorrian transport aircraft overflew the south-east of the nation, and soon parachutes could be seen. Skgorria had at last comitted its forces.

Because the paratroopers had opened their 'chutes at a low altitude, it did not take them long to land on International Lesbian soil. No AA fire had risen to meet them, but the populace of the small town were suprised to say the least at the appearance of a batallion of Skgorrian Fallschrimjager.

The 5 companies began to fan out through the town, not engaging civillians but instead a few soldiers issued orders through megaphones. "Return to your homes, we are here for your own protection" was commonly heard, but few of the natives believed it. Most hid in their homes, fearful of their future.

Captain Olga Ianovich had linked up with her squad, which was now just off the main square of the town. They were crouched down in a recently-evacuated restaurant, the streets eerily quiet save for the distant rumblings of war and the megaphones.
"Everyone here?" she asked
"Yes sir" replied a corporal, "all of 1st squad, 1st company are here."
"What of the rest of the unit?" asked a private, his face clearly nervous and his knuckles white as he tightly held the stock of his AK-107.
"Unknown, but the lack of gunfire suggest they are okay" smiled Ianovich before moving onto serious business.
"Our mission is to secure the town hall and dispose of the civil authorities before Special Action troops get here. Let's move!" she said, moving her rifle to her shoulder as the rest of the squad stood up and readied their weapons. Moving into single file, a rifleman exited the restaurant, scanned the street with his weapon and then one by one the paratroops moved out.

Rounding the corner, Captain Ianovich saw a few policewomen armed with pistols and shotguns attempting to build a barricade. "Bring 'em down!" she yelled, loosing a volley with her AK-107 at the figures, before dashing forwards to take cover behind an abandonded van. She had the pleasure of seeing one of the women collapse, but the remainder took cover behind their makeshift barricade consisting of crates and sandbags. Leaning around the van, Ianovich fired a 3-round burst before withdrawing behind cover. She looked around and saw her AT specialist, Private Algon.
"Algon!" she yelled over the small-arms fire, "RPG!"
"Jawohl!", and he slipped an RPG into the firing tube, "some covering fire would be nice, Captain!" he added.
"Covering fire!" ordered Ianovich, and the paratroops opened up with their rifles, making the defenders take cover. Private Algon fired his RPG at the barricade, and was rewarded with the sight of a large explosion as the barricade and defenders alike dissappeared in a shower of flames and debris.

"Move out!" she ordered, and the Skgorrians once again advanced on the town hall, stepping over the remains of the policewomen. One soldier kicked a rather charred corpse in the head, "abomination!" he cursed aloud.
"Eyes on target," reprimanded Ianovich, "we'll have time for this later."
"As ordered" came the reply, the soldier's eyes still burning with hatred as the squad advanced into the town hall....

The three fireteams that heard the explosions failed to raise the team that was in the stairwell. Fearing the worst, they advanced down the stairs. Sgt. Gellért was barely coherent, but feebly pointed towards the landing near the bottom of the stairs. The teams moved fast, camera crew behind them, towards the horribly injured woman. She was injured, but they wanted her alive for questioning.
"All units, this is Xeno 1. We have a high priority prisioner. We will administer treatment, but we will need a quick med evac on the ground." Pointing at his riflemen, he ordered "You two! The team had all of 6 seconds before the grenade went off.
"The fuck!" exclaimed the man who was fumbling around for a compression bandage. He kicked her down the stairs in an attempt to keep the blast as far away as possible before pushing his teammate against the wall. Spc. Petar, the man furthest down the stairwell, sat up in time to see more of his teammates leaping for cover. He looked to his left, and didn't even have time to mutter "crap" before the explosion ripped through the woman's body. The sergeant at the top of the stairs had enough time to leap at the camera crew, pushing them out of harms way into the hallway.

In the stairwell, of the 10 men who were in it, 2 were dead, 1 (Petar) was now critically wounded, and 2 were wounded from the intitial RPG attack. Medic teams would barely arrive in time to evac them.

Across the street, firing at intensified at the heavily armed women. A team managed to drag the soldier who was hit. The round (if solid slug) managed to blow a hole into his chest, and he was DOA. This enraged the men, and there would be no survivors. The rest of the town, however, was pacified, and in 3 hours, the 1st corps would land to the south west in preparation for the landgrab.

Spc. Petar was slumped against a wall, having slid on the suprising amount of blood that had pooled on the ground. The two rangers that had attempted to give aid to the woman were starting to get up. He looked at himself, and saw that his suit was badly burned. Though the grenade failed to penetrate his armor, it still transfered force, and he felt it. Now some woman he had never seen before was jamming a camcorder in his face. He managed to take his helmet off, revealing a face scarred by dozens of intense battles before. He finished her sentence:

"If i died? I don't think i'll die" he softly spoke before coughing up some blood onto his uniform. "shit... If... If I die, let my wife and kid know I love them, and that I did not die in vain." he coughed some more, and before he slipped into unconsciousness, he managed to force out "Long live Mer des Ennuis!"

(OOC: Free, feel free to do a report on this, even if i jump ahead in time).

Across the street, it was a mess. Half the building had collapsed, and 40 men were in the building. Some of the soldiers-turned-rescuers managed to move rubble out of the way to drag a dozen live and conscious men. Others broke into a firehouse down the street, and brought a heavy pumper truck near the building. Following the easy-to-understand instructions written on the various parts of the truck, they managed to pour water onto the flames that were starting to engulf the wreckage. Another soldier managed to shut off the natural gas lines into the building. The rescue would take 3 hours, and would reveal 20 dead, 10 critically wounded, and another 10 largely unharmed.

The town was undoublty secure by this point, and the police force put up no resistance. Of the 7,000 people in the town, 600 were dead and double that were injured. All were pacified. Meanwhile, in an as of yet uninvaded town...

The ten Valkyries donned skimasks and left the motel rooms. There was a woman out in the hall, but she was facing away from them. One of the Valkyries clamped a hand over her mouth and slit her throat. She was dragged into the elevator, which then went down to the lobby. The clerk in the lobby took a bullet in the throat before she could cry out.

Into the street. A police barricade had been set up at the end of the street. A policewoman asked "Who goes-" but died in a hail of bullets before she could finish. Her partner fired once before meeting a similar fate, and the shot went wild.

The next barricade fell in similar fashion, though one of the Valkyries was shot in the shoulder. After that barricade, there was nothing between them and the mayor's house.

The next morning found the mayor, still in her nightclothes, hanging by her neck from a lampost. Policewomen who had willingly turned in their weapons were merely placed in cells, whereas the minority who had resisted also hung.

The rest of the public officials, right down to the dog catcher, were lined up in the town square in chains. They were made to swear loyalty to the Valkyries, those who refused buying a bullet in the back of their necks with their defiance. Citizens were ordered to stay in their homes, except when absolutely necessary. The only excuse to leave your home was to move along designated routes to the nearest food store. Forty more Valkyries revealed themselves, as ten had not been considered enough to keep the peace.

"It depends on how many other creatures we're slaughtering at the time. We've wiped out entire species without trying. What makes you think you can defeat us this easily?" The anchor wasn't being the most professional person in the world, but they had an exclusive here, they could afford to be sloppy.

He laughed.
"Good answer! I woulda never thought of that!"
He calmed down.
"Seriously, though, we don't want to kill all of you. Just cause a bunch of pain and misery where it seems fun, and this one, oh boy, believe you me, this is fun."
He continued to talk, but the battery on the camera soon ran out, and the station didn;t get what he was saying anymore. But this was still enough publicity. The World now knew what the wrath of the Drow could be like. A dark pillar of clouds soon enveloped the two islands, blocking out teh moon, the stars, and by morning, it was blacker than night on the Drow-held islands. The slaughters continued throughout the day, however, and teh Drow began to level buildings and set up more permenant structures, while the slaves were loaded onto the boats and sent back to the nearest colony for breaking.

Susan moved aside once the man lost consciousness to make sure she wasn't in the medic's way. The main camera was miraculously still functioning, but as the town had become pacified there wasn't much more to shoot. The news crew took to interviewing various soldiers and civilians who didn't seem to be doing anything until night fell.

2 UH-60 Blackhawk and 10 Mi-8T Hip helicopters raced toward the shores of International Lesbians carrying 222 special ops solders and 40 combat engineers, the plan being the make landfall on the southernmost island *E6* and establish an airstrip and temporary base for the evacuation of the main island and establishment of a safe point for the civilians to live in. After that the main infantry force would arrive in C-141B aircraft escorted by the nation's Wraith air superiority fighters. And they could set about liberating portions of the island for Shepmagan control.

Most signs of civilization on the western expanses of the island were now charred remains. The dust of cremated people, animals, and just about anything that burned were disturbed by winds and the pounding boots of advance brigades. Air assault scout units swept ahead of the main pack, and marked areas for airmoble combat engineers to set up forward supply dumps. Palletized Load Systems were making their way to these locations carrying a variety of modules: fuel dispensers and storage tanks, unfoldable helicopter pads, deployable barrack units and furniture, ammunition systems, engineering hardware, vehicle coverings, etc. The force of 171,294 men would be established with semi-mobile field bases within a day. In two days time, they would tripple their numbers, and by four, that would be doubled to encompass 7 of the 16 corps assigned to take this rock.

62 nautical miles off coast of disputed territories, 11:03 PM

(Island located on F-4)

The dark, calm waters around the objective flowed about; the soft sound of the sea filled one’s ears. She was like a beautiful woman, the sea, lovely and calm one minute, her sweet song filling the air.

Then a complete bitch the next.

But, similes aside, the time was at hand. Over a thirty mile area, three solitary shapes broke the glassy ocean, their long, well, phallic like, to be blunt, shapes emerging slowly from the depths, black water spraying away in all directions. These objects fully surfaced, revealing covered flight decks that steadily exposed themselves as their host submarines steadied themselves against the waves. These were submarine carriers of the Allied Union Naval Defense Force, stationed here for a mission that the average Velkyan without a top-level security clearance would probably not hear about for several years afterwards. Inside one of these vessels, the Shogo, the sub’s cargo, a platoon of Velkyan special forces soldiers prepared to make their leave.

Weapons were checked one last time as some of more religious types prayed before dropping into combat. This was an operation they had trained several weeks for in advance, before the arrival of more imperialistic powers on the shores of this shattered nation that lay before them.

57 minutes to zero-hour.

As the flight deck of the Shogo became fully exposed in the dim moonlight, air crews rushed out, as the single aircraft elevator of the sub, located on the aft, brought up the first aircraft, a navalised ATH-9 Firehawk assault helicopter, it’s rotor blades folded and openings covered with dark blue salt air-proof tarps. A small tow car, also brought up from the bowels of the vessel, began to move the helicopter into position further unto the deck, clearing the way for a second copter to rise up, as trolleys filled with ammunition and fuel were rushed to the first by specialists. Six helicopters in all, carrying ten Special Forces soldiers each, were on the deck within a few minutes, their crews running last minute mechanical and weapon checks as distant streaks of light indicated that the other two carriers had launched their compliments of MR-5 Black Mariah SVTOL multi-role craft.

30 minutes to zero-hour.

It was nearly upon them. The squads of special operations soldiers rushed onto the dark flight decks, their heavy equipment clanging about as they boarded their respective helicopters, whose own din began to drown out the cacophony of shouts, commands, and radio chatter that had filled the deck of the carrier. After a minute or two, the first Firehawk, laden with anti-personnel rocket pods, 27mm chain guns, and several Ballista anti-tank missiles, cleared the flight deck, it’s dark black form blending into the night as it’s five-bladed rotors cut through the air. Soon, it was followed by it’s three other comrades, a snake of aircraft slithering only a few dozen meters above the tense surface of the water.

Far overhead, the the two four-ship formations of MR-5s, one out of each formation were outfitted with electronic warfare loadouts, scanned the target area, finding naught but a few rudimentary civilian RADAR stations to expose their approach. Given the inherent stealthy characteristics of the Mariahs, they would not be detected anyways, but, caution took the lead, and they activated their jammers. The other six of the Mariahs carried a mixed load of air-to-air missiles and precision air-to-ground munitions, even though previous intelligence stated that no foreign hostile force had occupied the target island as of yet, and that the territory’s small government possessed no regular military forces.

Zero-hour.

“Go, go, go!”

The Special Forces soldiers rappelled out of their Firehawks, their weapons free, as the distant thunder of their supporting fighters echoed over the desolate landscape. Startled natives looked on as four ten man squads spread out over the grasslands, setting up defensive positions around their newly acquired territory, as Air Defense Force forward air controllers scurried forth, frantically set up landing beacons for the rapidly approaching Whyatican and Skyian transport aircraft. Four separate dirt landing zones were identified, designed Alpha through Delta, and two civilian air strips had been commandeered by the last two squads, each numbering in the neighborhood of one thousand two hundred meters long, with small hanger and refueling facilities.

As the soldiers secured their possession, the three submarines out to sea began to broadcast the proper encrypted codes to the approaching allied air transport fleets, indicated that their LZs had been secured and were ready for the first arrivals.

Imperial Armed Forces Command, Miana
"General, there is an encrypted transmission from the Velkyan High Command. It's marked for your eyes only."

"Direct it to my quarters, lieutenant, and I shall read it there." General King Floyd said to the lieutenant, while simultaneously getting up and leaving the command room. General Floyd's quarters were directly adjoined to the main command room, as were the other two general's. In this underground structure, every person working there ate, breathed, and lived there. There were approximately eight thousand people living in this complex, ranging from the lowliest janitor to the highest General, King Floyd. He entered his quarters, and flipped up his computer screen to see an encrypted transmission, and a request for identification.

He said, "Identify, General King Floyd. Authorization Alpha-Charlie-Gamma-One-One-Six-Seven-Alpha."

The computer beeped, and displayed a confidential telegram from the Allied Union High Command. It said,

For The Eyes of General Floyd Only
Velkyan forces are preparing for a joint operation in an island now called 'The Disputed Territories'. It was formerly the nation of International Lesbians, and numerous nations have invaded it. Intelligence reports have indicated that Mer des Ennuis and Tocrowkia are the only major military powers invading, and we can take over relatively quickly with our other allies from the League. Send a message back confirming receipt of this. We wish that your military deploy as well.

Floyd read this twice, and changed his computer monitor to a listing of divisions and their combat readiness. Out of all the Armies in the Imperial Army, one army was completely readied for combat. The First Army, which was composed of I Corps through V Corps, each Corps having five divisions, for a grand total of twenty-five divisions for this action. Also readied for combat were the First Assault Group and the 2nd Battle Force. All of these troops were being prepared in the case of total war on the Barkozian front, and General Floyd predicted that the Barkozian war would barely last two weeks of combat before the hostile militias surrendered. He believed he could redirect the forces for this without Parliamentary approval, because it was described as a 'police action'. Police actions did not require Parliamentary approval, as they didn't usually require declarations of war.

Miana Dockyards

The First Army had been called to Miana Dockyards quicker than any army ever had before. The Lieutenant General commanding the 1st Army said he required 27 hours to deploy, but he pushed his forces hard and the deployment to Miana Dockyards was completed in nineteen hours. The men were pushed harder than they had ever been pushed before, in combat or out. The first mission was delegated to the 2nd Airmobile Infantry Division, a landing on an island designated as F4 Island Chain. Thousands of soldiers boarded SuC-1 Stormbringer strategic airlifters, as men using forklifts and other trucks loaded tanks, IFVs, other vehicles, and massive amounts of supplies from assault rifle ammunition to oil for the brakes of trucks. They left rather hastily, as Velkyan Special Forces had already secured a landing zone and they had to leave immediately. The Disputed Territories were a five hour flight away using the SuC-1s, and they had to make haste before anyone attacked the Velkyan SF landing zone.

Thousands of infantry, tanks, IFVs, trucks, and other vehicles drove into assault carriers, and helicopters flew in from storage bases all across Whyatica to land on top of the carrier force. Renown was receiving a marine contingent as well for this mission, as well as speeding up her refueling and resupplying. The other nine hundred ninety-nine vessels of this fleet were also hurrying the resupply, as the departure time was booked for 2100 hours, less than two hours from then.

Five Hours Later, F-4 Island Chain

The massive contingent of SuC-1 Stormbringers slowly showed in the landscape of the F4 Island, the first paradrops were about to commence. On the first one, dubbed the Mother Bear by it's pilots and ground crew, 1,357 infantry were preparing to paradrop, the beginnings of the massive Whyatican landing to follow. They jumped out of the planes in groups of 25, and as soon as they got suitable distances from each other, their parachutes opened, landing nicely within the Velkyan landing zone. As soon as every infantryman landed, they spread out and set up a second LZ for the supply load and tank drops. As the landing drop zone was set up, the first tanks and infantry fighting vehicles dropped, landing safely. Thousands of cargo boxes landed in the zone, providing the Airmobile Division with plenty of supplies for them and their Velkyan allies. Along with the supplies was enough concrete and other supplies to set up a temporary airfield and temporary dock, enough to land serious supplies and heavy armour.

The Major General in command of the 3rd Airmobile Division walked up to his Velkyan counterpart near the LZs and said, "Greetings, allies. I am Major General James Sinclair. And you are..? "

Just Outside Whyatican Waters

The newly-dubbed 1st Battlefleet left Mianan Dockyards, in tow with the majority of the 1st Army. It was a twelve hour fleet run to the Disputed Territories, and there would the armies link up with the Velkyans, the Skyians, the Space Unioners, and the Aralonians for this police action. They had been called as well for this mission, as all but the Aralonians were members of the Sovereign League, but they were allies of the Empire anyway.

This police action could save the lives of thousands of natives, and pick up a nice chunk of land for the Empire in the process. It was a win-win situation for the Empire, for the natives, everyone except the nations opposing the Empire and her allies..

[The Silver Sky, Nexian Province, Avalon Military Complex, OMNI Headquarters]

Avalon was your average town, church, obligatory bar and post office, high rises of average size, everything that marked a costal city of 200,000 souls, however, once you got to the outskirts of the city it was anything but average. Avalon Military Complex was a sprawling base, nearly half the size of the town and home to 100,000 military personal, it also housed the headquarters of the 4th Naval Armada and the Office of Military and National Intelligence (OMNI). Not so average now is it? With big Assault Dreadnaughts just out side the city limits.

Brigader General Bradley Marcias was rifling through a pile of papers, 'Nothing really of note, just average stuff on Aralonia and info on Sovereign League nations,' he thought. He took a sip of his coffee only to nearly spit it out all over the documents, 'Damn f*ckers know I like my coffee black, not with damned cream.'

After calming down he placed his stack of files down and was about to open his desk drawer he heard a knock on the door, 'Damn, don't people realize I have work to do...' he thought as he said, "Come in." He tried not to act irritated.

Three intelligence officers from the 'Rapid Crisis Response Unit', identifiable by their badges, opened the door, rapidly walked towards the desk that the Brig. Gen. was situated at and place a folder marked 'Urgent: Confidential'.

Brig. Gen. Marcis raised his eyebrow at the officer he now recognized as a captain, 'Damned, not them', he thought, the RCRU People were known to be pompus bastards and arrogant too.

He opened the folder and took a look at the name tab, 'Mer des Ennuis Military Deployments'. He forrowed his brow and read through the report. "Oh shit, command won't like this, SSNA sold them a bunch of ships a year back." He said to the Captain who merely nodded.

"I'm taking these to CENTCOM, watch over my stuff until I get back." Said Brig. Gen. Marcis as he grabbed his emergency suit case the the files, the RCRU Personal saluted them, he nodded as he raced out of the room.

[[2 Hours later and 1500 miles East; Central City, CENTCOM]

President Kara Maddox took was escorted down a long hallway to a pair of wooden doors, the guards used their security card and the eye scanner to make the doors open, President Maddox walked inside, the room consisted of a oval table and screens all along the walls.

"Thank you for coming on such a short notice Miss President." Said Brig. Gen. Marcis who, along with the other generals saluted her. "At ease." said President Maddox took as she seat.

"So, why have you brought me here General?" Said President Maddox in a slightly annoyed tone, 'I was supposed to have a spa treatment right now...'

Brig. Gen. Marcis walked to the end of the table, when suddenly a large 3-D map appeared in the center of the table, it was divided into gribs. Marcis began to speak, "A week ago we detected large fleet movements by Mer Des Ennuis and several other nations to this lone island chain, it seems they were attempting to grab the land of a fallen nation, new reports by foreign new crews and satellite photos show the full scale slaughter of the pecuilar population, we were contacted by the military of Whyatica and Velkya, both fellow Sovereign League Members, to assist in a attempt to destroy the invading forces and take the island and save the populace, a 'police action' if you will."

President Maddox watched as the rest of the generals nodded, she was deeply disturbed by the fact that MdE was mentioned.

"As we speak Velkyan Special forces are securing LZs on the island in grid F-4 and Whyatican Airborne troops will be joining them shortly. Do we have your permission to execute a gray-op?" Ask General Marcis.

"Yes, tell them we'll help, give those genocidal bastards hell." Responded President Maddox, "I'll be contacting our old allies Aralonia and Space Union."

[Comberth Harbor Naval Base]

The 1st Naval Armada and 6th Naval Fleet, 631 and 291 ships respectively were called up for the operation, 10 divisions and their equippment were loaded into their transports, they were from the 1st Marine Corp of the 1st Field Army, they would comprise the first 200,000 men of the 1 million men mobilized for this operation.

Hell would truly be given, on a silver platter even... well, one with C4 underneath.

Somewhere in the ocean, 3:21 AM

The blue, white, and gold naval jack of the Allied Union flew triumphantly in the dark night sky, as a truly massive warship traversed the waves below it. 1.8 kilometers of steel pushed through the water like a bully through a crowd of small children, flanked by dreadnoughts, battleships, and carriers of the 10th Naval Defense Battlefleet, numbering over five hundred separate combat vessels with several hundred logistical ships accompanying it. The Battlefleet had recently received its flagship, the V.S.S. Ascendant Justice command battleship, newly arrived from the Southport Consolidated Naval Shipyards. The voyage was the vessel’s first shakedown cruise, its crew comprised of newly minted sailors eager to prove their mettle to their more experienced officers. Led by the charismatic Fleet Admiral Sheppard, the 10th was a well-trained, well led horde of iron and steel capable of devastating entire nations.

The Admiral stood on the top level of the ship’s central fire control station, enjoying the view of his domain. Overhead, he could make out the small blips of light, UCAV drones floating high above the fleet, as well as the tethered high altitude over-the-horizon radar zeppelins scanning the skies for hostile activity. The smell of the salt air calmed his nerves; an eerie silence was broken only by the rush of water around the hulls of his ships and the occasional landing naval aircraft.

His revelry was broken by the voice of a younger officer behind him, who saluted him and handed him a message, obviously out of breath. The Admiral returned the salute, opening the message, which was printed in font accustomed to the Allied Union High Command, reading quite clearly.

ENCYRPTION CODE 563DFS-245MXA-OOOA, DEST- 10NDFBF, EMERGENCY REDIRECT, SECTOR AG-23, LINK UP WITH ALLIED NAVAL ASSETS AT POINT DELTA. AUDFHC OUT.

The Admiral folded the message up, and ordered the messenger to his station, an order he immediately fulfilled. He took one last look at the night sky, and spied the eastern sky, a faded light beginning to rise above the horizon, before retiring below decks. Soon, the fleet, in a well-orchestrated and executed maneuver, changed its course to link up with the allied Whyatican fleet which had left harbor.

F-4 Island Chain, Hill 043, 3:58 AM

Across the globe, the Velkyan Special Forces teams, newly accompanied by their Whyatican comrades, began to supervise the landing of allied soldiers. The submarine carriers had long since removed themselves from the area, the Whyatican fighter squadrons taking their role. Lt. Col. Harold Stevenson, better know to the troops under his command as “Dirty Harry”, stood on a hill, cigar in mouth and assault rifle in hand, watching a massive Whyatican SuC-1 transport touchdown on a newly flattened airstrip, dust kicking up in its trail.

Heh, those crazy Whyaticans. Glad they could get off their asses and help out for once.

As if on cue, a voice behind him, Whyatican in origin, broke through to him, and he spun on his heel, kicking a small cloud of dirt up in the process. The man, obviously a high-ranking officer, came face to face with the Velkyan officer; the latter’s military gear distinguishing him from his companion. His voice was rugged and deep, reminiscent of an old Western Cowboy. He extended his hand to the Whyatican, replying, “Howdy, General, welcome to the show. I’m Lieutenant Colonel Stevenson, Allied Union Naval Special Operations Group ‘Vanguard’.”

SuB-4 and SuB-5 bombers still flew the occassional sortie, but there weren't many areas left in need of a bombing on the western expanse. Another corps would be airlifted in the next 24 hours, and an additional 4 would arrive from the sea. Once a position was fully consolidated, the Mer des Ennusian army would push eastward until they either hit the sea or another power on this island. The helicopters slowed as they reached the only village on this island, the towns people streaming out of their homes to see what all the commotion was. The bulky M-8s landed first, the blackhawks checking the area for any threats before touching down. The women of the village looked quite fearful, indeed they had reason to be. Their used to be nation was being invaded by several quite large countries, and neutron bombs had been used not too far from here. The soldiers quickly calmed down the townspeople, assuring them they'd be afforded all the rights of a Shepmagan citizen de-facto. Within a few hours the engineers had laid down a makeshift airstrip for the planes carrying the main force. The men just had to hold the island for about a day, with it's currently sedentary population that didn't seem to be much of an obstacle.

One second calm and peaceful seas, the next a churning whirpool of potential death and destruction.

No, it was not a hurricane or typhoon, it was something worse, capable of more destruction then ever invisioned, it was a Super Dreadnaught, to be more precise, four of the Silver Sky Republican Navy's 'Hyperion'-Class Assualt Dreadnaught, while not as long as her super capital sisters she was a ship to be feared by all.

Her 36 knot speed could churn up a torrent of water visible for dozens of miles. Her mere presence inspired fear in the hearts of the enemy sailors and pride in the hearts of the Skyian Sailors.

But today our story is not just about this beautiful piece of naval engineering, but about her and her sisters, and the brave man and woman who man them, and their counterparts in the other service branches.

Leading the large armada was Admiral of the Navy Michael Sutherland, the most experienced sailor in the Republican Navy, nearly single-handedly responsible for the whole sale destruction of the Nexian fleet so many years ago, responsible for the surrendering of an entire enemy fleet with one salvo and leader of the sucessful Red Tidean Campaign, he was truly a man to feared.

“We have a message from the President Kara Maddox of the nation of The Silver Sky, sir.” One of the secretaries contacted the Archon in his office.

“Very well, patch it through.” The Archon looked up at the screen on the other side of the room, changing from a schematic of the latest design that would take at least ten more years to fully complete to an datanet-based mail client.

Hmm, this might be interesting. Another war, perhaps? Those were always good for both morale and the economy. Might get a chance to test out the latest Super Phoenix fighters that the military had recently received. It would -definitely- give better press to the military than the previous incident with that tank in Haven Aralonia.

The Archon sighed and began to type up a reply message to President Maddox and pressed a button on his

Get lines to the press on standby, I might want to contact them if necessary.” Now to see what firepower could be brought to bear as quickly as possible. The highly decorated Red Banner Third Expeditionary Fleet was all available. Things were beginning to break down with Nadixel, which were indeed [i]annoying commie bastards. Those damnable raiding cruisers, operating under ekranoplan-dropped smokescreens and assaulting convoys out of the blue. Well, the Red Banner Fleet put a stop to that! Hopkins grinned to himself. “Aye, sir, firing cannons now!” The foredeck of the AMDF Duke of Saris instantly lit afire as seven 620/55 naval rifles fired quickly. Shells flew through the sky for an indeterminable amount of time before a large flash appeared on the video screens. “Two, five, six, and seven hit!”

“Very nice work.” He nodded at the weapons officer and turned to the ensign. “What is it?”

“Sir. Redeployment orders.” The ensign handed Vice Admiral Daniel Hawking an envelope containing a USB drive, which he promptly put in its correct slot. A small datascreen flipped open to Hawking's left, displaying all the necessary information. He pressed several buttons, sending the High Command the fleet data and acknowledgment of orders. Hawking nodded and gave orders to the fleet to begin movement. “We have new orders, fellow sailors of the Red Banner Fleet!”

The Republic has already faced the Reich once off the shores of Kubra and we would be willing to provide support to your nation's forces against the Reich and her allies. Although our forces are spread fairly thin worldwide, we can provide the services of Aequatian Republic Space Command's Orbital Strike Platform, the Eagle III Neutral Particle Beam Cannon.

Town Hall

The paratroops advanced through the town hall, ignoring offices and screaming and fleeing workers as they made their way towards where they expected the mayor to be, in her office. Luckily the building was not especially large and only accomodated roughly 40 workers on two floors, so progress was quick. As they advanced, Ianovich waved a rifle-pair off in the direction of the town records office so that it could be secured.

To the Mayor's credit, she had not fled but instead stood defiant behind her desk, the large window behind her showing a view of the town. Multiple smoke columns could be seen in the background from the military activities of the other nations. As the large double-doors were kicked down by an Skgorrian soldier, the Mayor swallowed and prepared to accept her fate. She had this grand speech prepared in which she would offer to collaborate with the invaders as long as her people were allowed to exist as they had done, and that they would offer no resistance.

Captain Ianovich was having none of this, and as the paratroops swept into the office she fired a short burst of fire into the mayor, who was thrown backwards and through the window by the force of multiple rounds impacting into her body. Toggling her radio, Captain Ianovich reported into her commander.
"Ianovich to HQ, Target is down"
"Understood, keep the building secure until we get there. 2nd Battalion has landed and is securing the outskirts, 3rd and 4th are dropping in now"
"Understood" she signed off.

Town outskirts

Civillians were trying to flee the town after hearing the gunfight at the town hall, but the recently dropped-in 2nd Battallion had secured most of the town's outskirts. A few UAZ Jeeps chased after any fleeing vehicles, whilst hastily-constructed RPK emplacements put down warning shots to stop civillians fleeing. The inhabitants of this town were not going anywhere, and 3rd and 4th Batallion were landing in with their vehicles. Soon Skgorria would be able to fan out and claim some more territory. A landing vessel was on the way to deliver more supplies and troops, but would not arrive for a day or so

By day break, 4 more corps had landed; 1 by airlift and 3 by massive sealift. They continued to push forward to take more land, and many towns fell relativley peacefully, with almost no resistance. Perhaps it was the columns of Warrior IFVs and Nakil IVs, but in any event, the women of International Lesbians were all but resigned to their fate of becoming colonies. Another corps would land by night fall, and the navy's transport ships went back out to sea to bring more fighting men to the island.

There were now 1,199,058 men on the island, 14,000 tanks, and 440,440 infantry men, marking this already as one of the largest deployments in Mer des Ennusian history.

For once the Valkyries were working with the locals. The city of Sarmarria (random name. Shrug) had been turned into a veritable fortress. Anti-personnel and anti-tank mines were concealed throughout the streets. Barricades had been set up at crucial intersections. There was even a nearby military base, the result being anti-aircraft guns set up on the top of buildings, guns distributed to the locals, and tanks holed up behind fences and in garages.

Now it was just a matter of waiting for the Skgorrians to arrive.

The road to Samarria

Coropral Lufftman was having a stupid ammount of fun firing out of the UAZ Jeep at fleeing civillians who were trying to escape to the city of Samarria along a busy highway. The 2 other paratroopers who were also firing and the driver seemed to be enjoying themselves just as much as Lufftman. 2 other UAZs were driving with them, gunning down vehicles and people alike using automatic fire and underslung grenades.

"Hey, what's that?" yelled the driver briefly pointing ahead to a bridge crossing the highway. Several figures and vehicles could be seen scurrying around on it, then a lance of fire screamed down from the bridge and impacted into one of the UAZs, destroying it in a huge fireball.

"FUCK SHIT FUCK FUCK!" screamed Lufftman, promptly wetting himself with both fear and shock as the driver threw the wheel around and raced away. Rockets and bullets impacted around the two remaining UAZs, but luckily both got away.

Samarria, it seemed, was defended....

"They're on their way. Scramble the fighters."

Fifty or so somewhat outdated fighters were scrambled to provide air cover above the city. Machine guns were manned, even more barbed wire was strung. This city was not going to be a push over.

Computers whirred as targeting solutions were plotted and set. Safeties disengaged, and the station shifted on its axis with a whuff of compressed air.

With many expletives, the warning was passed down through the chain of command until it reached the Colonel in charge of the Skgorrian regiment who was now based, along with the Regimental HQ, in the town hall where the Skgorrians had first landed.

"Bugger," he cursed, "hold the line where we are now. Concentrate on rounding up locals to our current position and make sure we have AA defense."
"But all we have are portable missiles..." complained one officer
"And they will have to do!" spat the Colonel, before picking up a field telephone.
"Get me the Leader" he asked with dread

Skgorria City, the Leader's Bunker

"INTOLERABLE!" screamed the Leader, throwing a file at an unfortunate adminsitrator. "We must press forwards!"
"With all due respect sir," cowered an army officer, "our men are lightly armed and not suited to this task..."
"We shall crush ALL who stand before us!" the Leader waved his fist in the air.
An Air Force Marshall stepped forward, braver than most.
"Leader, 16th Air Army offers a solution"
"Then do it!" the Leader ranted, "We cannot be delayed!"

16th Air Army HQ, Skgorria

Flight crews dashed to their aircraft as technicians and ammunition loaders prepped the aircraft for combat. The orders had come through: the entire of 16th Air Army's strategic bomber force was to lift off for a fire mission. Such a mighty air armada had never been seen in Skgorria's history, but the new base was up to the task of launching all those aircraft. The Primary Air Complex had many runways, from which a nearly continuous stream of bomber craft seemed to take off. The other Air Complexes reported successful takeoffs, though 2 Backfires crashed in middair killing all aboard.

"Report?" asked the Air Marshall in charge of the 16th Air Army.
"All aircraft are airborne and fully armed," a radar operator reported.
"Give me a total count"
"Total count is..." the radar operator paled, "200 Backfire bombers, 150 Blackjacks. By the Leader!" he looked up at the Marshall "How on earth?" he asked in disbelief
"Years of training and resupply" curtly answered the Marshall. "Just look at that" he said in wonderment as the bomber armada flew away over the horizon
"30 minutes until lead element is in target range!" someone called
"Somarria is doomed!" laughed the Air Marshall

The fifty three aircraft lanced through the air towards the apparentally unescorted bombers.

The bombers were almost 1,900 miles away. At 1,800 miles the bombers fired all their missiles. With each Blackjack carrying 12 cruise missiles, and the Backfires firing 10 each, it was an awesome display of firepower. One of the lead bombers, returning from the run, alerted 16th Air Army. However, at this point the fighters reached the bombers and began tearing into them with machine guns and missiles. The city was turned into rubble, most of the defenses destroyed, but a sizable number of people had survived, enough to still hurt the Skgorrians if they tried to force their way through.

OOC: from 3,800 cruise missiles? Meh, whatever. And how come "somewhat outdated" fighters have an operational range of 1,800 miles?

The bomber armada was taking casualties, but the sheer force of defensive fire forced the fighters to maintain their distance. Bomber by bomber, they accelerated to supersonic speeds away from the fighters, who caught at the edge of their operational range were forced to turn back

"Stupid humans," Hatchavin said as he watched the human ships and planes bombard each other. He was smoking a joint, but he looked at it in disgust and tossed it aside. It was far too weak for his tastes.
"You realise they'll probably land here soon, don't you?" one of his Drow commanders asked him.
"Yeah, but then we'll get them to pay us to use our island as a base of operations and then have the other invaders to pay us to force them out."
"Oh, yeah, hadn't thought about that."
"Besides, we're Drow. Even if they sieze the island, they'll only think they're in control. We'll still be running this island. And it's going to take a lot more than a few of their chemicals to get rid of our smokescreen!"

"Aha what?"
"3,800 impacts on that city, comrade commander. Shall we still hit it?"
"Yes, let's make it a twenty-five spread."

Buttons were punched and switches toggled. Silently, twenty-five fifty foot long tungsten rods were fired from the space station. Travelling at 9km/sec, they hit Samarria and produced a 250MT explosion. An already ruined city was pulverised into glass, dust, and pieces of rubble no larger than a baby's fist.

The shockwave travelled for 44.7 kilometres, and the blast produced third degree burns on people 112.2km away from the shattered city.

Corporal Lufftman and his men had watched the multiple impacts on the city from the Skgorria air bombardment, and had started cheering with every impact. Their voices were too sore for that now, but stood in awe of the massive display of raw destructive power. After the last missile had hit, the paratroops turned to their jeeps. "Sucks to be them" he chortled, and the other men giggled as well.

A huge series of BOOMS was heard behind them, and the men saw a wall of fire racing towards them.
"FUCK SHIT FUCK FU.." was all Lufftman got out before being engulfed in nuclear fire along with the rest of the paratrooper squad.

16th Air Army HQ

"How many losses?" Asked the Marshall
"2 from that collision, and a further 106 from those fighters." came the answer from a soldier who was clearly nervous to be the bearer of bad news.
"We underestimated the enemy, next time we send escorts" the Marshall shook his head shaking in disbelief at his stupidity.

Paratrooper Regiment HQ, International Lesbians

"Dammit Lufftman, come in!" raged the Colonel at the radio.
"Nuclear strike on the city sir!" gasped a young soldier, out of breath for running.
"Get me a headcount" ordered the Colonel, "instruct all units to fall back to ERVs. I want us to be ready for the next thing. How long until the Implacable and her flotilla makes landfall?" He asked a radioman, who shrugged.
"Last reports indicated 4 hours, haven't been able to get through to them since then. Must be someone jamming us here."
"I don't like this men," the Colonel cursed, forgetting one of his company commanders was a woman, "I don't like this at all"

Your only defense so far is "Blah blah my nation works this way blah blah. Most people here base their militaries on those stats, as well as their opponents. Please learn the finer points of RPing before you fight a war again.))

OOC: so maybe not 3,800 cruise missiles or whatever. But can we agree that the city is pretty much ruined ala Stalingrad? So ignoring Atopiana...

IC: The evacuation proceedure was going smoothly so far. The reinforcements, mostly mechanised infantry landed by the Skgorrian flotilla assisted the paratroopers in securing the area. With the extra manpower, the Skgorrians began herding civillians away from the edge of their zone of control and towards the town where the ships had made temporary berth.

"We must get as many of these people out of here as possible under the Leader's orders" stated an Army General at the paratroop Colonel, who nodded.
"Most of the town's population has been accounted for sir, we've checked them off using the captured records" reported the Colonel, keeping half an eye on the scene around him. The town hall was full of army and navy officers co-ordinating this evacuation to Skgorria. Phones were ringing, soldiers were arguing. It was organised chaos.
"First civillians boarding now!" reported the General's aide with a sharp salute.

Space Union
30-07-2006, 20:54
8:00 AM, Ayadi, Space Union - Chita House:

Space Union's Federate sat in his inclined, red chair as he sipped some tea he had received for his morning drink. It was steaming hot and full of sugar, just like most Space Unionist drank their tea. He scanned quietly through the news articles on his brown wooden table to his left. A stack of papers as high as his shoulders and as wide as a foot sat there for him to read. Most of the news was usually some random crap about some nation invading another, some nation committing genocide, some nation starting a border dispute, some nation declaring it was superior to the world, some nation having proclaiming itself the greatest, and occasionaly some nation opening up new relationships with another nation. It really didn't interest Singh all to much and the only thing relaxing about this part of the day was sitting in his chair while sipping tea. Suddenly one of his papers said something that caught his eye. It was an direct transmission, in fact, not a mere, unimportant news clip.

Grasping it near his eyes because he had lost his glasses and couldnt' find his other ones, he quickly read over the short telegram. It was from the President of The Silver Sky, Space Union's closest ally in the world. It mainly talked about some nations invading some lesbian nation and trying to commit crimes against them. At the end it requested Space Union's help in the war. He finished it and set it down on his table. Unreclining his red chair he got up and walked briskly out of his sitting room to his main conference chamber where his gleaming desk reflected a beam of light that blinded him for a second.

"Dammit, I need to get this desk replaced."

He slid his chair out as he pulled one of the desk's draws out. Inside was four buttons, with four different colors: Orange, Red, Blue, and Green. Singh pushed the red button as nothing happened. Suddenly the phone rang on his computer. He instantly accessed it and put it on loud-speaker. It was his office secretary, Ghina Kaur.

"Sir, I received a message from you?" said Ghina as she shuffled through her daily work.

"Yes, Ghina can you get me Commander Mann, Foreign Minister Harman Sidhu, and also have Space Union Defence Industries' CEO/Chairman Sim Nam also come to this meeting," replied Singh with a gentle tone. Ghina instantly knew that if Singh was calling this many top officials, it was real important.

"Very well, sir. I'll have them contacted and they'll be in your office by 11:30 AM, sharp," answered Ghina as she immediately accessed her contact book and went to work setting up the arrangements. Hopefully most of them weren't too busy, though, it didn't matter as they were obligated to come to a Federate's meeting if requested, no matter what.

11:30 AM, Ayadi, Space Union in the Chita House:

The room had an eary silence to it as the three top officials on the nation sat at the table, waiting patiently for the Federate to arrive through the doors and begin this meeting that the others had cancelled their work for. Each of them was an important member of the Space Union republic. Commander Shivi Mann was the second-in-command of the entire armed forces, directly. He had originally been a Space Union Air Force pilot before rising through the ranks to finally be picked by Satpul Singh to fill this duty. He had over 20 years of duty under his belt and was nearing his 50s now. His old brother, Harsimran Mann, had been the former Federate before that ended in disaster. Yet Singh held nothing of the sort against him. Foreign Minister Harman Sidhu was the chief diplomat and represenative of the Federative Sikh Republic to the international stage. He had previously served in the government for a good 10 years before being appointed by the Federate onto the Minister Council and being given the post of Foreign Minister. He had just arrived recently from a confernce in Xasov with some foreign officials. Finally, the countries richest and most powerful CEO was seated at the far corner of the table. He was unofficially the de facto economic leader and many had whispered that he would eventually take the job of the Economic Minister, which had far less influence than him, to the government's dismay. He headed Space Union's largest corporation SUDI, which had made tremendous gains in the foreign aerospace defence industry. It was already one of the largest defence corporations in the world with its grasp springing even more forward as it established factories in other nations too. All of them were in the dark of why they were sent here but hopefully the arrival of the Federate would solve that problem.

The dark, black doors sprung open as the Federate entered the room with bodyguards stationed outside. He moved quickly to take his seat as he looked at the clock. Although he was the last to arrive, he was still on-time.

"Welcome, my friends, and my apoligies for calling you all up on short notice like this, but I have some important news," began Singh as he pulled out his leather black briefcase and opened it up. Inside was a vanilla folder with some content in it. He opened the folder up as the telegram from The Silver Sky stood at the top of the pile.

"It seems my friends that our allies have requested our assistance. There seems that a few nations have invaded a lesbian-cloned populated nation. It seems that this is being mainly done by Mer des Ennuis and Tocrowkia. Reports have surfaced of them killing off the lesbians and therefore committing crimes against humanity. Some of our allies have intervened with the nations of Velkya, Whyatica, The Silver Sky, and Aralonia deploying troops to the area. Therefore, I am obligated to help them in this conflict," finished Satpul Singh as he looked at the other's face expressions and reactions.

"Sir, if I may ask, how do you plan to get this by the Chamber of Electorates?" asked Harman quizfully.

"Well, we don't need to ask the Chamber for anything if we declare it a police action. And according to the Chamber's definition of a police action, a police action is any action taken to maintain peace and protect against abuse of international laws. These nations are conducting operations against the peace along with infringing on human rights, so constitutionally we are allowed to bypass the Chamber," replied Singh comfortably leaning toward the desk.

"If this is the case, perhaps we should deploy the 4th and the 7th Air Armadas to the area along with the 1st Theater? This will be sufficient force to neutralize the enemy. That is around 6.6 million personal from the Army and around 30,000 aircrafts from the Space Union Air Force, more than enough in my opinion. Naval support can be given by our allies with us giving them aerial support," said Commander Mann.

"Yes, that will work. Begin having the troops loading up for immediate departure to this island," said the Federate as a 3D map appeared on the 100" OLED screen display. He pointed to the isand in the square labelled F4. It was held by Velkya, one of Space Union's allies in this operation, "They have already begun landing troops and moving equipment to the area. They have an airfield setup so our large transports can land there and deliver the cargo."

As the talks continued between the leaders, Sim Nam sat there listening but not engaging. Finally as the talks seemed to close up, Satpul Singh turned to Sim Nam.

"Sir, I called you to this conference for an important thing. In the name of this countries beliefs and what it stands for, I would like you to cut off all supplies, spare parts, and expertise for Mer Des Ennuis. I know they ordered a lot of aerospace equipment from you, but in the sake of national security, we plead that you do so. The government will compensate on any losses," said Singh as he looked Sim straight in the eye, man to man, leader to leader.

"With no hesitation, sir, the deed will be done. Though it will likely result in a negative opinion from them and lose them as a client, we will do what is in the best interest of our allies and our beliefs," replied Sim.

"Thank you and we appreciate it. You have done a great deed for the nation," said Singh as the men began to get up and leave with the conference coming to an end.

We will be ending production of your aircraft, though, your money will be refunded on the note that you will not bring any harm to our employees in the nation. If a breach in this occurs, we will freeze all your assets and we will have further actions taken against you.

F4 Island, Velkya/Allied Base:

Hundreds of SuC-1 Stormbringers landed on the prepared runway as they screeched to a halt and were taxied to their parking area. The Space Union Military Command had been able to mobilize the constant alert-teams first and were quickly dispatching them to the island. This mainly consisted of the 3rd Airborne Division and other units. The other military assets would come later. The leader of the command would be Commander Mann, personally.

As the SuC-1s stopped, immediately thousands of troops began loading off the large aircrafts and getting ready to enter their positions. Soon enough, they would see action and they were prepared for it. While troops were being unloaded, military vehicles were also being quickly taken out. The entire 1st Theater would be coming onto the island. The air command was hoping to get it all deployed within the next two days thanks to constant around the clock airlifting. It had already airlifted over one million troops with one sortie and 423,000 tonnes worth of equipment and supplies. The war was about to begin....

The Armed Republic of Mer des Ennuis would like to question Space Union's wisdom in accusing the government of crimes against humanity. While we are conducting military operations in the region, we feel that it is warranted when neutron bombs have been used against an oppressive peoples. With the exception of suppression of airdefences in the western regions, we have defended, in the case of a ranger operation, the populance and several foreign nationals from heavily armed terroist forces. We feel that this accusation is unwarranted, and demand an apology.

The Skgorrian units had been gradually folding back on themselves, bringing as many civillians with them as they could. The town was overcrowded with both soldiers and civillians. In the middle of it all, Skgorrian Military Police were directing civillians to board the small boats that were transporting them out to the flotilla. A count was being made of how many the Skgorrians were helping to escape the hell-hole their country was about to become.

The town hall was almost evacuated save for a few command staff, such as the General in charge.
"How many have we got out?" he asked the radio officer. After a quick check, the radio officer replied
"Roughly 18,000 and we have another 2,000 waiting." Sucking in his breath, the General thought carefully.
"It's going to be tough getting them all back. Looks like some of the men will be double-berthing" The radio officer started to grin before the General fixed him with a sharp glare and hit him round the head with a book "Not like that, dolt."

The Skgorrians continued their evacuation, they had no wish to take part in a grab for territory and only wished to get as many people off this island as possible

F4 Island Base
As the landing strips were slowly widened, dozens of SuC-1 transports landed as the approaching Velkyan/Whyatican/Skyian naval fleet passed the horizon, just barely showing up to the troops on the base. Among this latest batch of transports were some of the new defenses for the F4 Base, a 27.1" static naval gun kit and various ground attack missile launchers. Thousands of tanks, artillery pieces, anti-air missile launchers, and logistics trucks and carriers landed, as the base was built from ready-made pieces. Warehouses were built, surrounded by 30mm autocannons and surface-to-air missile batteries. As the massive allied operation continued, the workers began a frenzied panic to get the mulberries up for the unloading of Phase 2 of the operation, the landing on the eastern coast.

Carried with the groups were thousands upon thousands of Whyatican troops, along with millions of tonnes of equipment, landing boats, mobile bases, and other such necessities to a moving army. Most important, though, were the river boats that would patrol the rivers, cutting enemy forces into separate pockets that could be dealt with by the main army. These ships, designed by the Imperial Shipbuilders company, were essentially destroyers capable of river transport. They carried small amounts of marines, and a goodly amount of armaments, enough to destroy most things it passes by.

On the island, Major General Sinclair moveed away from the airfield as another SuC-1 touched down, and said, "Hello, Lt. Colonel. Looks like quite a show we've got going here. Heard those crazy ass Aesonics are taking up military positions through the island, and the Tocrowkians claim something like half the island. We've got our work cut out for us," he finished as a Whyatican SuF-8 landed on the airstrip and was pushed into one of the temporary hangars erected by Whyatican soldiers.

"We've got the 1st Army coming in, and as we landed one of my communications men picked up that the Skyians are joining up with us," Sinclair said as a communications man ran up to him, panting with the jog.

"Major, we've picked up a new message. The Space Unionists are entering the action on our side, and we've also recieved intelligence that the Ennuisians have imprisoned approximately 500 SUDI employees."

Sinclair froze for a second, then thought about it and said, "Thank you, private. Dismissed."

He turned to Lt. Colonel Stevenson and said, "Looks like we'll need to get work on this damn airstrip again. And we'll probably need to prepare for a strike against the Ennuisians unless they release the Unionists. Anyway, our fleets should be arrivin' soon and we can get the main attraction going."

Joint Naval Fleet
The massive allied naval fleet, Velkyan, Skyian, and Whyatican approached the island, halting 5 nautical miles from the shallower waters as the troop and transport ships began their terminal approach. Mulberry docks were being assembled as quickly as humanly possible, as there were liable to be hundreds of supply ships dropping supplies and heading back to their respective mainlands for more. This massive joint operation was liable to be a headache for logistics men, as every military with the possible exception of the Whyatican and the Skyian armies used different tanks, munitions, ammunition, and military kits. As such, the first supply ships sent in were, in fact, ships with material for more warehouses.

As those were unloaded, a helicopter assault carrier launched dozens of helicopters to the islands, causing yet more racket as the hastily put together helipads were quickly occupied, dropping yet more supplies and soldiers onto the F4 Islands. They joined in the efforts, unloading supply crates, building the warehouses, setting up autocannons, and putting together the 27.1" battery. Ground attack missile launchers were bolted into place on their mounts, and as a missile load came in on a supply run, soldiers used trucks in a frenzy to load the batteries.

Major General Sinclair loved the frenzied rush of the army. Zero hour was approaching for the allied armies to make the first massive drive into hostile territory, and it was codenamed Operation Lesbian Freedom. That left very little to the imagination of what the Coalition forces intended to do, although it did make one giggle. Anyway, millions of soldiers were about to land on the...small island, and the Whyatican expansionism on this island was beginning to go west, as the military base expanded itself with more warehouses, barracks, fixed emplacements, tank depots, ammunition depots, and generally the stuff needed to feed about ten million people for a long time.

The message never reached the people of the Drow islands, as there weren't any humans left on the island to hear it. The Drow were thorough and had killed or enslaved all of the residents there. Boats carrying Sword Spiders and slaves were teh only things coming and leaving the islands as they brought cargo to the nearby Houses for sale. In some of the boats, reinforcements and even some armor, bought from arms dealers, landed along with them. The Drow were able to set up artillery pieces all around the island, and not in one specific part. None of the Drow actually know how to aim them, but it would still scare the hell out of a soldier leaving his ship in his rubber raft. The Drow had no intention on getting involved on the affairs of the island, just defending their positions.

It seems a shame that my part in this RP is going to end like this, but I am no longer having fun being involved in this. [F4 Island Base, Skyian Command Center]

Lieutenant General Jason Urwin watched the scene of organized chaos from his temporary command building. Hundreds of troops were landing every minute from planes from Space Union and other allied countries. He turned back towards the table which had a map of the islands on it. Surrounding him were the leaders of 5 of his divisions.

A knock was heard on the door and one of the assistants opened it.

A soldier quickly stepped inside and saluted, "At easy soldier, what do you need?" snapped Lt. Gen. Urwin.

"Sir, the last of 10th Division's troops had been landed and are ready at their staging points, also, the 1st Naval Armada and the 6th Naval Fleet are off shore." responded the soldier

"Good, have the 1st and 3rd Corps be prepared for immediate landing, I assume the 1st Air Force is ready to support any operations?"

"Yes, sir, they're ready, and I will right away sir." Responded the soldier who saluted and stepped out of the room.

Outside soldiers and engineers quickly layed down another runway, this one strictly for fighters, a temporary control tower was placed while a permanant one was being erected. Dozens of '-Lance' Series SAM/ABM launchers were being placed around the base while crews were checking the missiles in their tubes. Other soldiers were setting temporary and permanant hangars for the 1st Air Force aircraft.

Tanks rolled by the building as they headed for defensive positions while artillery was placed near the shore to provide support to the eventual landing forces. On the northern tip of the island a single quad 810mm (31.9") turret was being put in place while 35mm Advanced Combined Gun Missile Systems and M165A1 Air Defence Vehicles were arrayed throughout the island.

It was truely the new Gibraltar, an invincible fortress. A message was sent to the Unionist and Whyatican Commanders for a meeting to discuss the landing. (OOC: Can be done on IRC)

[Skyian Expeditionary Fleet]

Supply ships sat not far off shore shuttling supplies to the island via helicopter. Farther off shore stood four menacing shapes, they were the 'Hyperion'-Class Assualt Dreadnaught, at the front of the four ship formation sat the SSRS 'Hyperion' herself.

Sitting in his Admiral's seat on the bridge sat Armada Admiral Michael Sutherland. He looked out the window and over the fleet monitoring the horizion.

After deciding on whatever thoughs he had throught about Admiral Sutherland clicked a few buttons on his console and a small screen poped up on his lap top, the person on the screen as Fleet Admiral Joseph Krause.

"Oh! Hello sir!" said Admiral Krause in surprise as he quickly saluted the admiral.

"At ease Admiral Krause, any word from the escorts?"

"Somewhat sir, some missile and fighter exchange between forces to the south, nothing to worry about though."

"Good, continue guarding the southern part of the island, I'll move the 1st Armada up to the north to prepare for the landings."

"Yes Admiral."

F4 Island Base
After the meeting between the Skyian, Unionist, Velkyan, and Aralonian commands (OOC: Done in IRC), the assault was planned and prepared. Major General Sinclair walked to the Whyatican segment of the massive military base, and said to the men of the 1st Airmobile Division lounging around as their shifts were over, "Listen, gents. You've already done a great service to your country by landing here - We now call upon you again, to spearhead the entrance onto the island. As y'all know, this little isle is soon to be very crowded, as the Unionist Theatre is about to land, and they've got more'n ten times the manpower we've got. You guys get to have the honour of getting mobile again and setting up our beachhead. The 3rd Company'll be getting into the transport 'copters and setting up our initial LZ, and the rest of the division will join them soon after with our supplies. The Unionists will be joinin' us in this operation, and they're big on the airdrops so impress them, men. Move out at 2100. Dismissed!"

The soldiers saluted to Major General Sinclair, and immediately went to rouse their fellow soldiers in the 3rd Company. Once they were all roused, they rushed to one of the makeshift helipads, where transport helicopters were being prepared for them, as the soldiers fitted their kit and helped the logistics men out with the loading of materiel and other such things into the medium transport helicopters. Massive SuC-1s were being turned around and prepared for a second sortie towards the mainland, carrying the rest of the 1st Airmobile Division, as well as light tanks and other air-droppable vehicles. Major General Sinclair watched the men enter yet another frenzied rush to get the supplies on in time, and as the soldiers slowed down due to fatigue. They had barely been given six hours to rest before the next move came along, and many of the men hoped they would get a rest after they unloaded on the mainland.

The first transport helicopters took off, escorted by attack helicopters as they moved towards the mainland. Initial intelligence had reported that Alpha LZ had no hostile powers occupying it, but that may change soon if the locals take a hostile mind to the Sovereign League occupation

[RED BANNER 3RD EXPEDITIONARY FLEET FLAGSHIP DUKE OF SARIS]

Recently, Aralonian naval doctrine had been modified for the commanding officer to announce his ship's operational orders with traditional Aralonian aplomb. These orders would be posted outside the mess hall for any and all sailors to see if they were particularly bored. After the orders were given, the commanding officer would usually give a pep talk. In any case, Vice Admiral Hawking always gave a good one.

“Comrades!” he began, tapping his input device several times to make sure it worked. The signal was being broadcast across the 85 or so ships of the Aralonian battlegroup. “This is Vice Admiral Daniel Hawking speaking. Perhaps you have heard the news reports of genocide occuring all throughout this landmass, a 'Disputed Territory' of sorts, full of oppressed people. Our orders are to sort things out and restore peace and order to this land! We will dedicate our operations to the memory of our comrade, Fleet Admiral Norien Elson – a fine shipmate, an honorable Aralonian citizen, a very courageous officer.

“Comrades! Officers and men of the Red Banner Third Expeditionary Fleet! These orders are not those given to the weak-hearted, the dim-minded, they are orders worthy of our fleet, of our ships, of our crew!

“Comrades! Our orders are to show the world the true potential of Aralonian might, of Aralonian firepower! Assault actions against cowardly raiding cruisers are not a true symbol of power that the world will look on at in awe! It is the destiny of the Aralonian people to become part of the upper echelon of power in this world! We, the Red Banner Third Expeditionary Fleet, will enforce that!

“Comrades! If we succeed in our mission, I will personally give you one month of shore leave on the Southern Aralonian shores! If they say they are too crowded? Bollocks!” He could hear the cheers of several thousand sailors across a great battlefleet such as the one he commanded.

He changed cards in his hands and checked the microphone again. Time for the bad news.

“Comrades! Officers and men of the Red Banner Third Expeditionary Fleet! This mission will not be an easy one! It requires our best efforts, and more than that even! We must maintain absolutely perfect operating routines at any cost! Rewards only come to those who earn them in full. Every officer and every man aboard, from your commanding officer to the newest seaman must do their duty to Aralonia and do it well! If we work together as true comrades, like the New Aralonian Men we are, we shall succeed! You younger comrades, new to the sea: Listen to your officers, to your michmanyy,” - he used the Northern Aralonian phrase for that - “and to your starshini. Learn your duties well and carry them out exactly! There are no small jobs from this fleet, nor are there small responsibilities. Every comrade depends for his life upon ever other. Do your duty! Follow your orders! And when we have completed this voyage, you shall all become true Aralonian sailors!” He heard cheers across the battleship yet again. “That is all.”

He put down the microphone and picked up a wholly different one. “This is the captain. Begin satellite with the Silver Sky fleet, and contact our new allies in the Whyaticans and the Velkyans. We shall do whatever we can to help to free the oppressed peoples of this land. Continue on course, speed 28 knots. Is there anything in the water?”

“Aye, sir, we've got two old Nadixelian crap subs following us, but the Phantoms are lashing them hard with active sonar. The enemy subs have also got some torpedoes circling them, that's bound to put their knickers in a twist.”

“Very well. Continue on course.” The admiral grinned to himself. This was going to be indeed very fun... “What of any forces on the island?”

“Yes, the Ground Forces commander is already there.”

“That man Kvapil is there already?” Hawking grinned. “Well, let's hope he brought an umbrella. Continue at speed!”

((OOC: If no one else is going to post, I will. I got plans for this here island!))

Maj. Mansfield waited in the grand hall of the largest town on the small island. He was now the highest ranking officer that could be reached, and he was facing a serious problem in terms of supply. The three villages on the small island were now his responsibility, and he had called a meeting with the leaders of those villages to come up with a solution. After several minutes the two remaining leaders arrived and the meeting came to order.

The leader of the smallest village, a small blonde spoke first. "We must surrender to the coalition." "Excuse me?" The major blurted. "We have more then enough troops to hold this island, and enough MREs to feed everyone for 6 months." "6 months is a long way from indefinably Major." she practically spat. "What will you do when your food runs out?" "Sell the cloning equipment." He replied, being met with a collective gasp. "But how will we survive?" "You can't keep this lifestyle alive anymore! Your country is gone, we need to prepare for the worst."

F4 Island Base, Military Base:

Commander Shivi Mann strolled out of the meeting room as he approached his own temporary office. As he opened the door to enter the room, he spotted his Brigadier General Typhon Sidwa seated at one of the blue chairs in front of the Commander's desk. The officer instantly got up and saluted his commanding office as he spoke up, "Sir, you called me and requested at meeting."

"Yes," responded Mann as he placed his hat on top of the wooden desk and seated himself in the desk chair. "I've was at a meeting with Skyian, Whyatican, and Velkyian military commanders. After much talk, we will be launching an invasion immediately. The Whyaticans have already leaving at this moment to do an air drop and establish a landing zone. This is where you come in. The 32nd Airborne Brigade will be launching an air assault to establish an airhead somewhat south of the Whyatican area. This will allow us to establish two airheads for our military units to be landed on. Once this has been established, the rest of the 3rd Airborne Division will be shipped over to the landing zone and from there we will take further action. For now, the 32nd Airborne Brigade will be spearheading the Space Union assault."

"Very well, sir," answered Sidwa as he rose up and saluted his commander. There was little time as he ran out of the building. The 32nd Airborne Brigade was pretty much ready considering they were the alert organization of the Space Union forces. It would take an hour for them to board the planes and get ready for the jump. The 5th, 6th, and 7th Paratrooper Battalions would be the first. They would jump from the SuC-1s and make sure the area was safe for the rest of the Brigade to come. They would then construct the landign zone and hopefully within forty-eight hours have the allied forces coming and dropping troops off to get ready for the "big push".

Over Landing Zone Area:

The paratroopers of the 5th Paratrooper Battalion looked at the ground as they descended and got ready for the jump. They would be the first to get out of the cargo planes and secure the place. The other battalions would follow in their cargo planes, which were behind them. If coordinated right, hundreds of paratroopers would be falling out and landing on the grounds. At this point, they were the spearheads of the Space Union assaults. Current intelligence had told them that there was no one to fight but then again that could change considering most of the officers didn't even know who they were fighting, if they would engage any enemies.

All eyes layed on the red light that was at the top of the interior of the cargo plane. It would either show red when not to jump or green when to jump. The moment it turned green, the paratroopers would immediately begin jumping. For a couple of moments, the anxiety built up in each one of them as they felt different feelings hit them at once. The only thing laying between the air and them would be that light. And as that thought raced through their minds, the light went green.

Immediately paratroopers began jumping out of the doors of the cargo aircrafts as hundreds of bodies immediately filled the air. At first they were just small dots to anyone on the ground but then their parachutes opened up and suddenly they became more vivid and easier to see. The jumpers descent slowed down as they began to control their parachutes to allow them to descend to the specified area. If there was any enemy waiting for them down there, these lads were about to meet their first taste of war.

[F-4 Island and Nearby Waters]

Lieutenant General Jason Urwin strolled back towards his office after the meeting, he could see C-1 Stormbringers taking off from the runways. IFVs and tanks were attached to VTOL and helicopter transports, the hum of fuel pumps filling up helicopters and vehicles and the smell of engine exhaust filled the air as helicopters started their engines.

Upon returning to his office he was greeted with the site of Brigader General John Elric, commander of the 1st Marine Corp and a member of Lt. Gen. Urwin's company during the Red Tidean Campaign. Brig. Gen. Elric quickly turned and saluted.

"At ease General," Said Lt. Gen. Urwin, "What brings you here?"

"Not much Sir, just that out portion of the operation is about to start." Responded Brig. Gen. Elric.

"Really? When?" Questioned Lt. Gen. Urwin. Brig. Gen. Elric did not respond at first, then a slow steady drone filled the air, Gen. Elric walked towards the window and opened the blinds and pointed to the sky.

Hundreds of planes and helicopters filled the sky as the first wave of Skyian Troopers, the 1st Marine Corp, all five divisions and their vehicle support prepared to drop into the islands interior. More specifically two airfields and 4 towns that had been identified near where the river bent south into E-5 from E-4.

Off shore the 2nd, 3rd and eventually 4th Corps would land from LCACs on the beaches on the tiny strech of island that poked into F-5 grid.

'The End Game' has been set in motion.

[1st Heavy Marine Division, Landing Zone Alpha, E-4]

High above the trees and fields of the island flew a dozen C-1 Stormbringer and C-115 Fastrider Transports, carrying the first wave of troops, 1,902 soldiers and vehicles from the 1st Mechanized Regiment and 1,930 from the 1st Artillery Regiment would be parachuted into the wide open fields near Objective Alpha while helicopters brought the 1st Airborne Brigade near the airfield.

The civilians, if there were any, would be awed by the site of these huge flying beast over their heads and small and large dots fell from the sky before their parachutes opened like rapidly blooming flowers.

The infantry and vehicles quickly hit the ground and secured the permieter before making a move to the city and airfield, little to no resistance was encountered in the landing, civilians were told to stay away from Skyian Patrols as they moved to take control of the city and airfield.

The scene was repeated farther up north, the 2nd and 3rd Heavy Marine Divisions were tasked with taking two more towns and the last city and airfield. The 4th and 5th Divisions were to secure the flanks of the other divisions, they found a ridge just 20 miles south of the E-4/5 border and began to dig in. They were here to stay

The first piece had been cast, the battle had begun.
