Sir John Barham International Airport
Airport facilities and runways
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v195/The_Freethinkers/JohnCBarhamsmall.png
JBI (as Sir John Barham International is known) has been extensively modified and refitted to be able to accommodate the new ACA Skyliner along with other large aerospace craft. Modifications included the reduction of East/West runways from four to two and the elimination of short runway 14/32.
The airport has a parallel runway setup, 09L/27R (5,800 M x 230M) and 09R/27L (6,200 M x 230 M) with a central terminal block containing four terminal buildings. The airport has 24 hour transportation links to other local infrastructure hubs and includes an extensive subterranean rail and metro system stations. A wide variety of Duty Free shops, restaurants, hotels and other amenities are spread throughout the four terminals.
This is a notice to all airlines that with the completion of the renovation gate leases are back on the market for open contracts. The cost and available gates are listed below.
Cost
The landing fees per passenger are fixed at M5.00 per fare-paying passenger transported by the airline, with a minimum charge of M500.00 per aircraft and aminimum total gate rental set at M1500.00. Aircraft fuel, maintenance and services are also at the airlines expense.
Choosing Gates
The following gates are available to lease. When choosing, please be realistic in hw many gates you wish to operate. Please check the airport map to ensure that your chosen gates are near to each other (a practice encouraged due to simplification of maintenance and passenger information) and that, with the limited number of gates available that companies only apply for a total gate capacity equal to their demand and realistic future growth. Skyliner gates should only be leased if there is a specific need for them.
Standard Gates
Standard Gates are located at Terminals 1, 2 and 3, with a total of 94 gates. Each gate can accommodate an aircraft with outermost dimensions at 90 metres in length and 80 metres in wingspan with full refueling and service facilities. Dual boom gates are fitted as standard to accommodate larger airliners. Each gate has been rated to handle up to seven flight movements a day handling 14000 passenger movements along with all associated passenger and crew cargo. Renting charges are based upon passenger traffic charged at the above rate.
The following Gates are taken:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 - Freethinker Airlines (Freethinker Commonwealth)
9,10 - Oceanian Airways (Azazia)
16,17,18,19 - Song Airlines (Carvalo)
24,25 - Royal Borne Air Charter (Questers)
26,27,28,29 - Questarian Airways (Questers)

92,93,94 - Air Maraque (Maraque)
Skyliner Gates
Skyliner Gates are specially enlarged gates designed for the large Skyliner aircraft, and each gate can handle an aerospace craft with a length of 200 metres and a wingspan of 350 metres at maximum dimensions. Each gate has been rated to handle up to six flight movements a day handling 30000 passenger movements along with all associated passenger and crew cargo. Renting charges are based upon passenger traffic charged at the above rate.

We hope that this offer is acceptable and we would be willing to pay the aforementioned price. QA is also interested in opening Questarian cultural restaurants within the airport, entirely managed by us, is this possible?
Royal Borneo Air Charter... is interested in rent of gates 24 and 25. As an Imperial Questarian air service we would be working closely with QA and Aralonian International Air Service. We hope the offer is acceptable.

In accordance with our expansion policy, we would be interested in renting the standard gates, numbers 42 and 43, at Sir John Barham International Airport.
Initially, we expect to launch six non-stop flights per day from Urbego-West Airport, Barentsburg, to JBI. However, we fully expect to increase the amount of flights and expand our routes from JBI in the near future.

OOC: It seems to me all regular ates are taken, right?
OOC: Not really, still most of the gates on Terminals two and three are open, I think. Check the list.
And Ive decided to limit the number of nations actually allowed to land at JBI. I think the actuallimited space and the other Navarre airports will justify transferring some gates away from JBI.
On the behalf of the shareholders of Oceanian Airways, I should like to take this opportunity to thank the Freethinker Aerospace Regulation Office for allowing the Oceanians access to the great Freethinker Commonwealth and similarly Freethinkers access to the United Kingdom. Although the great wealth of both markets will certainly allow for an expansion of travel between the two markets, for now Oceanian Airways sees no need to request the right to lease two (2) gates at Sir John Barham International, preferably Terminal 1, Gate 9 and Gate 10.
Sir David Cross

Subject: JBI Gate Leases
Due to a demand to expand our overseas destination list, we wish to lease two gates at JBI. Due to the size of of planes we will soon have in service, which are a bit larger than the maximum size listed as being allowed at the Standard gates, we wish to lease two Skyliner gates, S8 and S9.

Updated. Apologies to a few of you, I have had to reaarrange certain gates and reduced the number given to cop with outside requests and to be more economically viable to the airport.
Shazbotdom, apolgies for the smallnumber of gates, unfortunately I advertised on the irc channelas well and hence why I can only give you two gates. However, as rent is based upon passenger numbers I won't be taking any money from anyone until passengers actually begin to flow.
Thanks to all who applied.

To Whom It May Concern,
The Freethinker Commonwealth is a much great nation, and one where the Southeast Asian Federal-Parliamentarian Government is interested to formalize relations with. We shall take Standard Gates 95 to 100, in the interests of planting the seeds of diplomatic relations with the Freethinker Commonwealth and planting social, cultural and economic ties between our two great nation-states.

Bazalonian Planes at a Freethinking Airport
In a climate where international transport is becoming more and more important the Office of Civil Aviation recently granted permision to start a number of routes between Bazalonia in addition with other locations in our international network and JBI Airport, The Freethinkers by the nations foremost Airline, BazAir.
BazAir has been a main stay of Bazalonians aeronautical industry for sometime, bouyed by the success of the Bazalonian Bazalopes, the nations soccer team which it Sponsors. IT has been said that BazAir has requested standard gates 11-15. Slotting in between Oceanian Airways (Azazia) and Song Airlines (Carvalo). JBI is soon growing to be one of the most diverse International Airport hubs that have to be seen.
When approached BazAir had refused to comment on exactly how much these 5 gates cost but had said "it was a wise investment" in participating in this endouver by the nations Airport Authority. Prices on new routes have yet to be announced but are said to be "Competitive while not skimping on service". Will such a gamble pay off for the nations most respected airline? Only time will tell.

Subject: JBI Airport Gate Rental
We at SkyAir International have been looking to expand our international flight market outside of the Haven region, because while it is a good region, many of the countries do not make for good tourist destinations while others are at war. We are looking for a far away destination, something exotic and foreign, something safe. The Freethinkers Commonwealth fits all of these conditions, being a large and relatively old nation it is bound to have a variety of things to do and see, as well as being relatively untouchable by other nations hostile means.
We would like to rent gates 44-50 for a two year test run and if they are a suitable investment we would like to extend that lease by ten years.
We would also like to inquire if you are going to create another Skyliner Terminal because our newest high-capacity long-range planes won't fit in your regular terminals. If you are, we are willing to comitt possibly millions of dollars towards the construction, especially if we're promised at least two gates for our donation.
Please respond quickly as we would like to close this deal before the quarter ends. (Have to keep feeding the stockholders good news.)
