Valley of the Giant
27-07-2006, 02:53
The Valley of the Giant is a large valley in the Italian Alps. It was the only part of Italy that wasn't ruled by the Roman Empire. Every attempted conquest ended in failure, with the terrified soldiers and commanders telling of a great power that slaughtered entire squares. The information spread through word-of-mouth, and so the Romans thought the valley was inhabited by Giants and the Roman Empire never touched it after the third attempted conquest.

Years passed and the rise of the Pope came. The Pope wanted to find these so-called 'Giants' and slay them in the name of God. Various kingdoms came to call and attacked the valley, which was the first recorded encounter with the Drow. The Drow were curious, having only fought teh Romans just a few centuries before, on how humans had changed. The Drow killed off the invaders and captured a Bishop, who recorded everything they could about the Drow. The Bishop told the pope, who tried to tell the world of their exsistance, but mysteriously died before he had the chance, and hsi successor hid the records for some strange reason, never to reveal the presence of the Drow in the Italian Alps.

The Drow from that point became active, behind teh shadows, and creted a great deal of wars among the various human nations, and teh Drow always profited. Their influence was grand and widespread. The Drow were somehow involved in every nation, but their presence was never revealed. It wasn't until King George III (Or whoever fought teh Americans) had his Drow killed that the Drow disappeared from human politics until World War I, when the Drow hired out as assasins by the Axis powers to take out important people on the Axis, such as leaders or officers. The Drow always did their job, but the Axis officials still blamed the Drow for losing the war. They attempted to somehow have teh Drow exterminated, but once again the Drow disappeared and the Axis powers hid evidence of their exsistance.

But as the winds of war blow once again, the Drow find themselves caught between former allies who are more than willing to turn them over to the gas chambers and enemies who they had ruthlessly killed to break stalemates for their enemies. It seems to the Matron Mothers that they have to band together to prevent from creating a Drow Front.
