Soon following the alliance between the Hiigaran 15th Expeditionary Fleet, the Cassiopeian Commonwealth, and the Minbari Federation, the military commands all proposed wargames. Mass wargames wouldn't be possible for the Hiigarans and the Minbari for some time, because the majority of the military is on assignment guarding freighters against ESUS raiders. However, for solidarity with the newest allies of the Federation, a 13-ship battlegroup lead by the newest ship in the fleet, the Iskandar Shah, entered a system on the outskirts of Minbari space for these joint wargames.
Iskandar Shah entered first, using her Hiigaran-designed hyperspace system to arrive minutes before the rest of the fleet. The characteristic blue line appeared seemingly from nowhere, extending out as the Shah came into being. The original Hiigaran plans had the Iskandar Shah class being brown and rather drab looking, but as a human working for the Starship Crafters said, "We're going to make the Shah sexy." It now sported less angular designs, which was a military benefit and and aesthetic benefit in one. The curves gave increased protection against KE impacts on the curve, and it certainly looked better now.
The Shah appeared to be hanging in space alone for a few moments, and next the Minbari fleet arrived. Twelve ships, headed by the Arrogance, a Sharlin class battlecruiser, exited jumpspace at the temporary jumpgate set up by a Minbari explorer ship for these exercises. They set into formation, frigates ahead, destroyers covering either flank, with the Iskandar Shah, Arrogance, and a Mor`shin class carrier in the centre of the formation, covered by the frigates and destroyers.
On the bridge of the Shah, the newly installed combat projectors came online slowly, giving real-time projections of the Minbari fleet as it got into position. Alyt Morann ra Shaibar'nik was the commander of this fleet, and he watched his brand new crew rushing to enable the Shah's systems for their combat testing against the Hiigarans and the Cassiopeians. Morann said, "Command to fleet. Set into OPFOR exercise mode, we will be facing the Hiigarans first so prepare all point-defense guns for action. We won't be facing any coolant issues due to the lower power of the guns, but have the computers record when coolant problems would normally occur. The Hiigarans will be arriving any moment. Shah out."
The Minbari fleet hung in space, waiting now for the Hiigarans and the Cassiopeians to arrive so these wargames could begin. With thirteen ships, the Minbari would have the least amount of ships but probably the most tonnage and the most advanced technology. Still, Alyt Morann knew not to underestimate his opponents, as they had proven their mettle in the Battle of Aio..
