The Empire of Vollmeria

Also known as 'Das Vollmerische Reich'
Government: Republic, though it can also be describes as a military dictatorship
Leader: Generalfeldmarschall Walter von Lossberg
Location: 1914 Turkish Empire
Capital City: Damascus
The People are white and of European descent, the only religion in Vollmeria is Christianity

The Empire does not have any real ideology, the military rulers use nationalistic propaganda to get the support from the people and have declared a state of emergency in 1935, when the army overthrew the old president.

Army:
Currently stands at five million trained soldiers, with 2 million reservists.
The army is currently divided into five sectors, covering different regions of the Empire, each sector or group is under the command of a Fieldmarshall

Pistols:
The Vollmerian army has several standard pistols for its armed forces as well as a few revolvers. The pistol or revolver is, by Vollmerian officers, considered a status tool or a last way out rather than a weapon as most of them have a range of only 25m, therefore, the Army never selected a standard pistol and instead buys stocks or makes orders for them when required. For standardization, the army always takes pistols with 9mm or 9.65mm(.38) calibre

K31

The K31 is as simple as it looks, a reliable and effective short(1.25m) bolt action rifle. It fires the standard Vollmerian 8mm rifle round(8.08x57mm 154grains to be exact with a fps of 2900) and has a capacity of 5 rounds. It is the standard rifle of the Vollmerian Infantry

MP35

The MP35 is the response to the K31 with its low ammo capacity, the Vollmerian Army looked for a weapon that especially at shorter ranges could be an excellent support to the K31, many designs were tested but eventually this one came out victorious. Machined from solid metal to ensure reliablility and accuracy, it fires a 9mm round at an effective range of up to 200m. Ammunition is fed with a 30 or 50 rounds(split into two vertical columns with each 25 rounds vertical box or a 71-round drum magazine

Anti-Armour
The Vollmerian army has made shure it possesses the means to stop an enemy tank assault by producing a wide array of anti-tank weaponry
1) Panzerwurfmine
A grenadelike weapon with a small parachute, it is throw above the enemy vehicle and descends slowly with the parachute, then hits the turret roof(usually the weakest spot). Due to its short range, the weapon is only used in ambushes and urban warfare

2)PaK38, 50mm
the standard Vollmerian 50mm anti-tankgun, the calibre was selected to ease ammo production, the same ammo is used in the PzII.

3)PaK40, 75mm
The PaK is the standard Vollmerian anti-tankgun, production for PaK38 has been decreased in favor of this new gun, which, the army hopes to get to all forces by mid 1940. Currently it is only in service with frontline units.

4)PaK39, 50mm
This is a special version of the PaK38, easily recognizable by its straight shield instead of the curved one on its cousin. It was a taper bore gun and relied on what is known as the Gerlich principle. The calibre tapers downward in size from breech to muzzle. The special projectiles involved used flanged or skirted forms that allowed the flanges to fold back as the bore narrowed. This had the advantage of increasing the emergent velocity of the projectile enabling it to travel farther and to hit the target harder. to retain maximum power the projectiles have a tungsten core. The PaK39 was introduced as stopgap solution until the PaK40 could be supplied, they are only available in small numbers and used by front line units

5)PaK38/05
To provide the army with powerful anti-tankguns, the Vollmerian army took PaK38 carriages and placed on them M05 75mm field guns, which were found to have enough power to be used as standard guns in absence of the more modern PaK40. The gun is used by frontline units as well as reserves and garrison elements.

AAguns
1)Flak30/38 20mm
The lighest of the Vollmerian AAguns has used almost solely by field divisions due to its small size and calibre, making it easy to set up and transport. A version with four barrels exists since 1940 but only a handful have so far entered service and these were all requesitioned for the protection of the generalfeldmarshalls palace.

2)Flak37 37mm
A single barreled light AA gun with a calibre of 37mm, mostly used by infantry units(towed) or in a static role to defend army/government compounds. It has a max. effective ceiling of 4750m.
For mobile units, the Flak37 was also mounted on trucks and a few may be found mounted on a halftrack, though these latter models are rare

3)Flak38 50mm
The Flak38 was produced together with the PaK38, with ammo standardization as main reason(the PzIIs 50mm gun is based on the Flak38). Its maximum effective ceiling is 5500m which is only slightly better than the Flak37. The AA version is no longer in production but still widely used by the Vollmerian army.

4)Flak 35 90mm
The Flak35 90mm was already designed in 1933 but not accepted for production until 1935 and in the meantime, been produced in sufficient numbers to arm the Vollmerian fielddivisions(towed version or mounted on trucks with outriggers) as well as home garrisons. The gun can be used as Aintitankgun and has a maximum effective ceiling of 8800m(improved version is being designed)

5)Flak39 105mm
The heaviest gun so far, until the 128mm gun has been completed with a max.effective ceiling of 12800m

Tanks
SdKfz231, 232

Used as reconaissance vehicles, armed with a 20mm
Pz1
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/Vollmeria/utoldi.jpg
The Panzer I was already designed and ready in 1934 but not selected for active service until 1935 when Generalfeldmarshall von Lossberg came to power, the small vehicle is quite fast for its age(49km/h thanks to the Christie suspension) and wellarmed with a 37mm and an 8mm MG.

Pz2
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/Vollmeria/uturan.jpg
The design of the Panzer II was was prohibited until 1935, when the building of a first prototype was allowed. The tests with the vehicle were satisfactory and it went into production in 1936. It is armed with a 50mm gun and two 8mm MGs. His has a topspeed of 45km/h

PZ3
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/Vollmeria/jhtyp4.jpg
When the PzII came into production, the High command already found it inadequate for future warfare, even with its powerful 50mm, the Army wanted to have a tank that could beat all other future tanks and set to designing a third vehicle in the Vollmerian Panzer collection. This tank, the Panzer III was ready in 1938 and went into production at the end of that same year. It carries a powerful 75mm gun.

Navy:
The Navy, led by Admiral Georg Reuter possesses
3 carriers,
12 battleships
48 cruisers (various: light and heavy)
59 submarines(mostly medium range, 7 long range subs
178 destroyers
and a variety of support ships from transports and tankers to patrol boats.

The task of the Navy is to defend the homeland, rather than offensive operations, though the Vollmerian carriers allow for overseas operations to be carried out without much trouble.

Airforce
J38

The result of hard work by airforce officers and engineers is this J38 fighter aircraft, in active service since 1938. Armed with 4 20mm guns.

J38S
The ground attack version of the J38, may carry one 500kg bomb or two 250kg bomb under the wings. Carries 2 20mm guns to reduce weight.

J4-10
Vollmerian main medium bomber, a twin engined aircraft with a crew of 3. Carries up to 1000kg of bombs and explosives, has 4 12.7mm in the nose, one dubbelbarreled 12.7mm at the rear. It is known to be one of the best armed mediumbomber around while retaining a good topspeed.
