IC:The Azazi had swept over large parts of Bekhaera killing all who stood before them, Elves, Vampyres, Bechtae and men..nothing could stop them at this rate, the houses of men quarreled over power and their greed led to their ignorance, the Elves sought to look after this world but had grown angry at what they saw and had become a race of watchers rather than intervene, yet they would soon fight

Vampyres only wished to consolidate the power they had gained and gain revenge on the Elves, a race the Vampyres broke away from and the Bechtae, people whose quarrel lay mainly with the world of men, for a century of deceit

The Azazi were serpentine creatures, taller than men, stronger than Vampyres and more resilient than Elves, they seemed to have no weakness, the war that would follow would decide the fate of Bekhaera

The 50th legion of the Bekha kingdom had been decimated, all but two remained, one had his tongue cut out whilst the others eyes were removed, one would lead, one would speak...The Azazi were ruthless creatures much like their masters who were driven off Bekhaera

King of Bekha, Khath Bekha saw the scars left by the Azazi on these unfortunate souls..he knew something had to be done but what

In the city of Situu on the border of Azazi/Bekha the king sat down with his council, the words he had herad had shaken him a great deal

"The Azazi have burned an entire city to the ground... thousand have died and many more taken as trophies"

In amongst these men was a certain Alreic Du'Lac...the Vampyre lord, he and Khath were bonded by oath to fight alongside one another, yet he was hated by all of the court and kings men

"Khath...have any of them come yet, it's been a week and a half since the messages went out, why have the messegers not returned, my scouts tell me the Azazi are moving on Vale Te within the next few days" Alreic spoke as the sound of grumbling amongst the chamber grew

"Alreic?... you have spies in Bekha? haha, never could trust you brother and it is true, they are late, but this council must begin nonetheless...this threat must be stopped now" Khath stated

Alreic looked around, he was at ease even though the majority of the men here's beliefs told them to slay him for being a wretched Vampyre, he gazed out over the valley below, covered in crisp white snow, he could see a man riding a horse in the distance, he was clad in green and wore no armour...he was a Bechtae monk

The monk arrived at the castle and was allowed entry, he entered in to the chamber where he instantly noticed Alreic..everyone seemd to it was hard not to notice a vampyre dressed extravagantly compared to the boring Bekha chamber men

"King Khath, I am hiron Koda,we received your message...but we cannot fight this war, we must let you deal with your own problems as we feel your people must mature first before using others" the monk replied, his name was Koda, he was an apprentice warrior monk and had travelled this far to tell them no, the monks were dedicated even when rejecting something

"Please stay master Koda, the journey must have tired you greatly, I shall have my men prepare your bed" Khath replied, Koda accepted and trudged off out of the chmaber,

"Odd person that Koda, very rigid it seems" Alreic said to himself, he still looked out over the horizon, he wanted it, to crown his peoples achievemnets he wanted to master the horizon

********Just outside Vale Te******

Coravel was hunkered down in a small dip in the ground. Observing the Azazi as they made camp for the night. How can they keep making it the same way? I strike every night and they make no changes. As he waited for night to fall, he was more or less camoflaged. Wearing a pair of soft-soled brown boots, dark green trousers, a dark gray long-sleeved shirt and a pair of brown bracers, he would be hard to pick out in lowlight conditions. He stroked the heron moarked blade at his waist as he waited for dusk. After nightfall, he took off in the direction of the camp, running stealthily on his way to assasinate another military force leader.

********Inside Vale Te********

Saacon was readying his men. Near dawn, he was to lead a mounted column out to wreak as much havoc as possible before disengaging and pulling back inside the walls. A career soldier, he knew what the odds were and did everything he could to better them. Moving up and down the lines of waiting soldiers, he made sure everyone of them had smeared soot on their armor. A chance gleam at night could make them an easy target for a crossbow. Looking up at the graying sky, he gave the order to mount up. The gatezs opened and the column moved out at a trot.

"My lord word from Vale Te" a messenger broke in and shouted at the chambermen, "men have begun to move from that citadel, I belive its Saacon sir!"

"Saacon..wasn't he meant to be arriving here to discuss the fight against the damn Azazi" roared Khath as he looked at Alreic, Alreic didnt think much of anyone but his ow kind but he was shocked to hear the men of Vale Te were engaging the Azazi on their own

"It will be another massacre on the scale of Treno friend...have word sent to him or anyone of a high rank in that damn hotbed of idiocy they call Vale Te" Alreic told the messenger who quickly sped off to pass the orders onto his counterpart

"Do you think they wil heed our words for council, I mean these are dark times Khath... what d you intend to do to stop the Azazi?" Alreic asked as Khath sat back on his chair, he gave Alreic and all of the chamber a stern look

"I intend to go to the temple of Kreya...to seek answers to end this hell..if Kreya defeated the Azazi's masters we can defeat them with her help"

*******Outside Vale Te***********

Coravel stalked up behind a sentry. Closing quickly, he jabbed a knife into the soft spot at the back where head meets neck, severing the brain stem. As he gently lowered the corpse to the gound to avoid unneeded noise he heard a sound like distant thunder. He nodded to himself, Saacon was right on time. Drawing his heron marked blade, he sprinted off towards where he had marked the command tent.

Saacon's knights thundered across the open ground leading up to the camp. With their lances erect, it looked as though a small forest was advancing at a ludicrus speed. Saacon heard rather than saw something whistle through the air near his head. Crossbow bolt. Saacon could see the silhouttes of enemy soldiers as they scrambled to form some semblance of defence. Once the armored line had reached a certain point, the lances dipped coming down like a cresting wave. The mounted troops met the infantry with a resounding crash. The end of Saacon's lance snapped off in his first victem, and he trust the splintered stump into the chest of the next man before dropping it and drawing his sword. Around him he could see others doing the same as they fell to with their work. Saacon noticed Coravel running around the fringe of the fight, straight at someone yelling orders.

Coravel respected the killing power and tenacity of Saacon and his men. He acknowledged that a full scale armored charge was probably the most awe-inspiring thing he had ever witnessed on the battlefield. He just thought they were too...noisy. Focusing on his target-the camp's leader-he circumnavigated the fighting and ran full out at the man. Later, Coravel would admit that the man had been an above average fighter. Unfortunately, above average wasn't good enough against a Jen'e'tai. As his sword met his opponent's wseapon he flowed through the different stances and moves. Neptune Searching the Sea became Embracing the Moon. Dusting into the Wind flowed into Hooking up the Curtain. Finally, he ended it with a decapitating move aptly named Sword Coming at the Face. His target eliminated, Coravel turned and ran for Saacon.

Saacon watched as the enemy camp leader fell. Shouting orders for his men to disengage and ride like hell back inside the walls, he was hardly surprised when it started raining crosbow bolts. Reaching out to grab Coravel, his arm was suddenly knocked to the side. Crying out he tried to ignore the bolt sticking through his forearm and reached once again for Coravel. This time he managed to pull Coravel up behind him and then he obeyed his own order to ride like hell.

The men reentered the city of Vale Te, a few men short but in a generally good mood. They had caused more confusion amongst the enemy and hopefully gained more time for the city. As they dismounted chirugeons moved amongst the men, treating wounds. While Coravel went to see if any news had arrived,
Saacon was led off to have the quarrel in his arm removed.

"The city of Vale Te is not far..should we venture there with haste to bring news to the stewrad of the city" one messenger proclaimed, the other merely nodded

for two days they rode through snow and ice, the winter had set in early, the messengers arrived at the city, it was no longer a possession of the bekha empire, it was now in control of a warlord who sought to carve a name for hismelf but he was a staunch ally of bekha

"we bring word from the king of bekha... your lords presence is needed in Situu...please let us speak with whoever is in charge" the messenger shouted at the top of his lungs, the cold air hurt him very much so and he wasnt in the mood to be turned away

The great gates slowly creaked open just wide enough for them to ride through and slammed shut again behind them. They would find them selves in the square, which was packed with armored knights. Up on the wall they would see a few archers and many crossbowman. All of them were staring at the messengers.

"Is it me or are they all a tad on edge..." one messenger muttered under his breathe to hsi companion

"We bring news from the King of Bekha, your lord is summoned to a meeting at Situu, this is urgent and concerns the entire continent"
