the Kirisuban government considered this request and sent the following reply to the embassy of the Dominion of Russia.

we would like to hear more about this offer before we decide on it. with tensions in Europe rising and these able to affect even our nations in the pacific ocean I would like to invite your ambassador and one from Angermanland to the Imperial palace in Edo to discuss these matters with the Shogun and the Emperor.

I look forward to hearing from you

a similar reply was sent to the Angermanland Ambassador in Edo.

the responce from the Angerman ambasidor was swift enough. he would, of course, attend, that being a large part of his job and the rest being dependant on his doing so. subsiquent messages between underlings established minor details such as when, who to bring or not bring, and other items of protocal.

the protocols set forth for the meeting included having no weapons in the palace since the samurai would look after security, a limit of 3 aides including a translator and a willingness to arrive to arrive at a solution.

it was well known that the Kirisubans were an efficent people and it was no different with diplomacy..

arangements were easily made. normal security untill reaching the palace, then protocal kicked in. the Angerman ambasidor wasn't quite sure what the 'situation' was exactly, but the purpose of diplomacy Was to solve problems, and thus reaching some sort of an agreement was his job. even if it were a worst case scenario and the agreement was to "make holes in each other with explosives and pointy things untill someone gives up" not ideal, but an... agreement, of sorts.

hopefully, something far better was on the agenda for this meeting though.

ooc: on that note: dude needs a name :S

with the Dominon of Russia declaring war on Poland there certainly was something to talk about now at the meeting. a time was set for the next day and the ambassadors were informed of it.

top secret ic:

Sumashikka island airbase

testing started on a swept wing piston engined fighter.

a Tenchi now marked 'XJ2' was the original test bed for the jet fighter and would now test out the belief that a swept wing fighter would be better in combat that a straight wing one.

an army Tenchi was also involved in the air-race and the drag was certainly reduced on the experimental model allowing it to go faster.

combat tests would continue with this possibly leading into a new era for kirisuban aircraft design.

also on the base was 'flight section 4' which was also looking at flying wing designs for aircraft. their main concern was gliders for now and getting the basic flight controls sorted out but this line of technology was also promising
