[ooc: Just for reference, there won’t be time to get involved right after this post, this is going to be a story before involvement is possible. After you can get involved, I will let you know. Comments wanted, please!]

I never was one for introductions, long-winded and simply pointless. They annoyed me. Prologue’s where never my style either, however, it is more of a necessity in this instance.
My full-undiluted name is Jeric Yorsii Anthina Horaz Bourialus Dior Fi’koi, but no one calls me that. I am simply Horaz Bourialus, unless otherwise stated. I am coming to my later days, now looking for only to give my story to the universe. Why? Because, when everything comes down to it, I lived in interesting times. I was also quite an interesting position myself, so before I let loose my final gland of Perfect Death, I will share this story; consider yourself lucky, because I don’t have to tell this.
Mind you, Anisarian did request it (a Story which is included as a minor-subplot for you romantics out there), and I known to be a sucker for the Divinity that took me to her fancy before the war. Oh well, it shall pass with the feeling of death, which I now prepare myself for, better get started I suppose.

Have you ever felt like the Universe is conspiring coincidence? I am sitting here, in the same bed I was laying in when the whole mess started. I know most don’t care, but I find this immensely amusing. So much was destroyed in the Sociopath war, and the one bed my part in it started on (Being much closer then many O’s that got destroyed.) Vativarch always was a jewel of the Quartet, small for an O, only what...300,000-Clicks Diameter. Hell, it’s tiny, since some newer ones at the time where about 4,000,000-Clicks. Still, it’s now the only and biggest Orbital the Confederacy has.
This all started here. I lay in bed, I was happy, Glanding some Blue, with some Chenmina music playing, (A comparison for Jazz in style, though more advanced) and a gorgeous girl in my arms, called Pinindra, her last name escaped me at the time, but it didn’t matter so much, I was happy. More then happy, I was awesome. I was on an O, not some pissed off little General Exploration Vessel (Say what you will, the Time for Fun is a boring asshole, the name is obviously a parody), and I was being offered positions on about 14 vessels. Life was great, fantastic, super, etc.
Yet at the time, I felt like something was missing. I know what it was, I did back then as well, just didn’t want to admit it. I missed the ES (Exploration Service, if you don’t know), admitted, the GEV Time for Fun was an asshole, but most GEV’s where quite nice, quite content to let you be you, then you had those who were a blast, such as the Crossing the Line, who while acted like a drugged human during first contacts, it usually did pave the way for me to do my job (Which was establishing Lasting contact). It also was great to most of its crew. I believe it is now somewhere out there, torturing Kofel (One of its crew who always said he was jumping ship next chance he had).
Anyway, I lay there, considering how much longer I would stay out of the ES, when my mind came alive, Priority Private Message, coming in, I checked the File Info.

Usually I would have ignored it, but the message came from a very good friend, the No Fun for You was a complete Parody of the ship. It was possibly the most fun ship this side of the Lesser Galaxies (May he Rest in Peace, taken from us far too early.). I considered the Code, Exploration Level Theta, was very high up. I considered it and mentally shrugged, why not?
*Answer=Yes*
*Hello Horaz, it has been a while hasn’t it? I am well, I hope you are too. Life has been interesting, I have been running Diplomatic fun with the Intinza Hegemony, running the main negotiations at their location, and also acting as local Supervisor for the Espionage Unit’s there as well. It has been interesting for you too I see, made contact with several civilisations upon the Crossing the Line and Time for Fun, even the Cuthuna, Impressive.
This is why we contacted you. You’re the best person for Contact we got in the local Volume, anyone else is either to far away or simply not worth it. So you’re it. I want you to know, I would like you instead of some overconfident newbie or less skilled man, however I am not going to force you to come. I won’t lie, it’s going to be dangerous.
Perhaps a description of what we are dealing with would be best no?
We came across the Sociopath about 3 Days ago. It didn’t come from anywhere, defiantly not the Grid, its using some different form of travel. It popped up, appearing in the centre of the Systems Star. The ship that detected it was the OPS Time to Go. Moments after the Sociopath arrived in system the sun began to shrink, and within an hour the vessel had completely absorbed the Sun. This is when we got our first scan.
The ship defies physics. It’s a Sphere, about 90-clicks Diameter. Its mass is Tiny, something like 500-kilounits, and its power emissions are off the chart. 4x10^52w, it’s phenomenal. I know you don’t believe me, but if you could meet me, I could prove it to you, the ship is generating that power. Your not the only one who is suspicious, I thought the Time to Go was playing a joke as well.
It isn’t, the vessel is there, and by last estimates, its pulling everything in the system towards it (Minus the Time to Go, its engines are not being threatened.) It has been named Sociopath due to the quick removal of several vessels from other groups who was in the System, why the Time to Go was untouched we are unsure, but several other ships where left as well.
Please get into contact soon,

I considered the message, stunned. The power level was…beyond amazing, it was supposedly impossible for a ship that size. I looked at the girl sleeping in my arms, then went into the Virtual unit I could contact Control in.
Everything was different in the Virtual Unit, I considered making it more like reality, if I wished it could be a representation given real form. But I didn’t. I always have had a dislike of VR, I liked to be able to tell the difference between reality and Virtual Reality, and so I defined it in my mind. I contacted Control, who was acting quite annoyed.
-Hi Control, I said looking at the Avatar he used in my mind, an Old style machine. –Just a question, is the No Fun for You arriving any time soon?
~Yes, came the short reply. ~Changed its corse about two days ago, told me it was coming this way. Now I have to find room in my Docking systems to fit the bastard. Hell if it didn’t send a Priority Request I wouldn’t have space for it.
-Do you know its location? I asked, loading into my mind a map of the surrounding area.
~Yea, it’s about… the Avatar paused, probably checking its internals, before a spot lit up on my map. ~Here. It’s about 4 Hours out. Why?
-Job Offer, I said simply. –Which bay will it be put in?
~Forty-Six, the reply came, ~Good luck with your new job.
-Thanks, I said before logging back into reality.
I lay there, considering, before slipping out of the bed and getting dressed. I began to pack for the trip, calculating the time would be a few days to get there, then the Contact could take, as long as necessary, so I packed for a total of 6 Months, to be on the safe side. I checked the time, 2 Hours till it got here.
I decided to go out. I sent the baggage to Bay 46, to be stored in a secure locker until I got there. I went out, buying several Gifts and sending them to people I had promised to see but now wasn’t able to. It was a sort of standard, true they could probably get it all themselves, but It was coming from me as an apology, so they would take it with good grace (It would probably be put somewhere left to gather dust, and in a hundred years be discarded). Following this, I went and had dinner with a friend called Antinria, we had some lovely conversation about the weather (Meteorology can be a good topic at times), before I left.
I arrived in the bay with about 15 Minutes before the No Fun for You was due to arrive. I sat in the observation deck, paged a Slaved drone to get my luggage and ready it for Transfer, and composed a message.

Please note when I say "Just for reference, there won’t be time to get involved right after this post, this is going to be a story before involvement is possible. After you can get involved, I will let you know. Comments wanted, please" I would say I don't want involvement aye? Please edit the post to a tag or something non-rp please dear.

He set down the book and walked to the fridge to get a cold drink. He grabbed an apple before returning to his chair. He opened the bottle of soda and took a drink, followed by a bite of the Granny Smith apple. The tart taste of the apple brought back memories of his grandma baking pies. He took another sip and picked up the book to pick up where he left off.

Sharan, his name was, one of the first people, by a short lag, to view what would soon become one of the most significant signals recieved for some time. The tale of what - so far - he believed to be the fall of a civilisation in a distant part of the universe. Exodus, now that was a phrase that interested him, indeed, but for now, he paused in his replay of the senseiver record to indulge in some wine of his own, there really was no substitute for experience of one's own, no matter what the indulgant 'sense traders' and similar types might tell you. The governor of Naogeddon frowned a little, the drink could have been a little clearer, a little sharper, but otherwise, was satisfactory enough, and drank deeply - he'd have to gland something to clear his head anyway, after this. He lay down again, and closed his eyes once more.
