Leroy B. Mefis paced about the dimly lit room. In fact, he had been pacing long enough it was starting to annoy the rooms other occupant. The Dominion's head diplomat, Martin L. Diplomicus shook his head as he watched the trade minister, "Leroy, relax. All will be well."

"How can you be sure when they still haven't arrived?" Mefis was sweating, now. "What if they've changed their minds?"

"They have still have several hours before they're supposed to arrive. I'm sure they'll make it." The thinning gray hair on his head bespoke of his long tenure in intergalactic politics. While he said this, his agile mind ran through the scenario over and over again.

A week ago, the Dominion and ZAFT agreed to have trade talks. Trade was always important to governmants and it was hoped that this agreement would create jobs and help the rebounding economy to continue its rise. At least, that was the cover story. Oh, the trade agreement was to be real enough. It might even do what it was supposed to do, though Diplomicus doubted it. In truth, it was to cover up discussions of an alliance. That was why the meeting was being held at ACES, the fleet command station. Officially, it was because the alleged delegation from ZAFT had a dislike of reentry and launch trips. In actuality, it was because it was the one place that the military higher-ups could be without any potentially harmful questions being asked.

So here they were, waiting for word of ZAFT's arrival. Provisions had been made alowing ZAFT to bring a small military force, ostensibly for protection en route to the Dominion. But once again it had a different prupose: to bring high-ranking military officials to the talks.

After a short while a ship from ZAFT came out of hyper space it was a small Nazca IV class destroyer. On board was Eileen Canaver Vice-chairwoman of the supreme council, Yuri Amalfi a member of the national defence committee, Nicol Amalfi Yuri's son and a Ace Pilot, Ray Yuki the Captain of a ZAFT Cruiser, and Miguel Aiman one of ZAFT's best commanders.

The Ship approched the station, "This is ZAFT's Nazca IV class destroyer Swift wolf, We are escorting the delagation. Requesting pemission to dock" The communications officer said.

They received a response almost immedately. "Roger, Swift Wolf. You are cleared to dock at airlock station twelve. Just follow the glow and welcome to the Dominion." The area of airlock station twelve began to glow brightly, lit by blue floodlights. The only other traffic in the area were flights and squadrons of trainee pilots receiving their final courses.

Onboard the station, in the dimly lit room Diplomicus was answering a call. "Yes, very good." Hanging up, he turned towards Mefis. "They're here. Come, we must set the stage." Mefis walked to a different room which had been completely refurbished for this meeting. It was brightly lit by several crystal chandeliers. It had white and red tiles with a big yellow mosaic of the seal of Arcadeos worked in the middle of the floor. Just beyond that was a long wooden table, with highbacked chairs along each side, but none on either end.

Back at the airlock, Martin waited just outside along with a man he hadn't known would be there. Granted this whole thing was to be secret, but it had been his idea after all. He didn't appreciate Ralpmet adding to it. He couldn't override the leader of the Dominion, but having this man here was making him nervous. The pair of guards with them stood at attention, their faces blank but some barely visible twitching betrayed their anxiety. Well, at least his presense will keep the soldiers on their best behavior.

The Blue colored Swift wolf followed the light and came upto the Airlock. At the docking port on the Swift Wolf six soldiers were at the door three on each side. The ship docked and the door opened Eileen Canaver, Yuri Amalfi, Nicol Amalfi, Ray Yuki, and Miguel Aiman stepped through the door. Eileen Canaver was first through and the others followed. They walked up to the men waiting for them, " I am Eileen Canaver Vice chair of the Supreme council" she said.

The pair of soldiers saluted smartly. Martin gave a flourish-y bow. "Greetings and welcome to the Dominion. I am Martin Diplomicus, head diplomat of Arcadeos. The gentleman next to me is-"

"I am Saacon." the man interrupted. He was two inches over six feet in height and had light brown hair and a neatly trimmed goatee. However, his most striking feature were his eyes. The man had soft golden irises. "Please, follow me." He turned and began to lead the way to the door of the conferance room, the guards falling in behind him. Diplomicus would follow the group, bringing up the rear.

The group followed closely, Miguel was noting every thing about any thing in the place, doors, air locks, power conduits, maintenance shafts, as a tactical commander it was his job so take the smallest detail and turn it into a advantage, a escape route, or a weapon. Nicol on the other hand looked at the soft side of things admiring the craftsman ship and station design. Yuri though was more interested in how the two nations can help each other, Yuri was in charge of ZAFT's R&D. Ray was incharge of internal security at the L2 colony cluster and knew his way around military defences. Eileen was a skilled diplomat and former head of the Diplomatic relations committee. All of them though were coordinators like every one in every PLANT around ZAFT territory. No one ever saw people known as naturals in the PLANTs every one was geneticly engineered during there development. They were stronger then normal humans, smarter, and fast (reflex wise).

OOC: I knew they were coordinators. At one time I owned the first seven disks of SEED.

IC: Eventually they came to a set of double doors. At a wave of Saacon's hand, the guards posted themselves on either side of the doorway. Saacon himself pushed open the doors revealing the glossy floor, reflections of the lit chandeliers danced upon its surface. Beyond the great seal and long table, were what appeared to be windows. In actuality, each pane was a miniture video screen showing only part of a programmed image or video. The effect was that there appeared to be a beach with a calm ocean just outside.

Already standing at the table were four other people. A short, heavy-set man said "Welcome, welcome. If a different image in the window would make you more at ease, please just let us know."

Saacon gestured to the man, "That is the minister of trade, Leroy Mefis." Inclining his head to one of the men in uniform and wearing the rank of an admiral, he said "The distinguished looking gentleman is Admiral Iorek Byrnison. He is the commander of the entire navy as well as personally commanding the First Fleet." Iorek inclined his head at the group. He was tall and had gray hair and a thick, longish beard. Moving on, Saacon gestured at a young man who's eyes were more striking than his own. "This is Coravel Lydre, the Dominion's premier fighter pilot. And the only reason he's still in a cockpit is because he's turned down multiple promotions." Coravel didn't even have the good grace to look embarresed. He impassively stared back with his multi-colored eyes. The left one was a cold, steel gray. The right one was a bright laser green. Pointing at the last man at the table, Saacon went on. "This young man here is Orin Syr. He is here mainly because he has pioneered our mobile suit program. Something your nation has great expertise in. Please, be seated."

Saacon walked forward, his shoes clacking across the tile floor. Motioning for his people to sit he turned back to face the ZAFT delegation. "There is currently water at the table, but if you desire something else to drink or perhaps something to eat please say so." With a sweep of his arm, he indicated the chairs reserved for ZAFT. "Please, sit." He himself pulled out and held the chair for Eileen Canaver. He act almost a mere host or servant instead of someone who should be associated with such a momentus meeting.

They sat down in there seats a Eileen spoke up, "I am Eileen Canaver Vice chair of the supreme council, This is Yuri Amalfi he is a member of the National defence committee and is in charge of ZAFT's R&D and is currently involved in Project Fox Hunter are next generation development program."
she paused to take a sip of water out of the glass in front of her.
"And this is his son Nicol who is one of are best pilot and is currently in command of the 29th mobile legion. Ray Yuki over here is incharge of the L2 colony clusters security, L2 is where alot of are field testing is for new weapons and mechines except, super weapon of course those are tested in deep space on moons and astroids."
she paused again.
"Last but not least we have Miguel Aiman one of are best tactical commanders, Legions under his command usually are first to get new weapons from R&D programs." she said.

Taking the seat directly across from the Vice-Chairwoman, Saacon spoke."Now that we have been introduced, shall we begin? With all the trouble out in space, I believe that we can help one another. Admiral Byrnison?"

Iorek nodded. "We recently fought off an attack from the Rhithin, something we could not do without multi-national support. That single engagement pointed out some rather glaring weaknesses in technology and strategy. Then we were invaded by another group. Some of your forces showed up and supported our troops. That incident helped to spark this meeting." He shook his head, "With all the power-hungry morons out there, it makes sense to have friends that you can count on." He looked back at Saacon.

Saacon looked at the ZAFT delegation. "It has come to our attention that you are fighting a group calling themselves Oblivion or something along those lines. No matter what comes of this meeting, know that we will stand with you against them. It's the least we can do after you attempted to help save a whole system. Now, what do you suggest?"

Miguel put his glass of water back on the table, "yes we are fighting them, infact are entire military is on full alert, but back to the situation at hand to make sure you can survive a attack from a outside force we need a early warning system and defences in your space. Would you mind if a saw a map of your space include things as small as astroid belts any thing can have a tactical advantage" he said before pausing "also current defence installations so that we know were rapid response fleets can come from" he said.

Eileen spoke up "Miguel i think your asking a little to much" she said.
"to know how to better prepare them when need to know the lay of the land and any stratigic locations" he responded.

Saacon nodded. "I understand. I'm sure you understand I can't just hand over an entire force breakdown, however I can give you a map showing our major static defenses. I'm afraid we don't have any asteroids but we do have rather large...particle clouds. I can't remember what they're called. Nebulas I think." He pressed a button on the underside of the table and a two dimensional map was projected onto its surface. "These are our systems and defense stations." He looked down to Coravel. "Any thing you want to add?"

"Yes, sir. Until recently I was stationed at one of the stations." He shook his head, "The pilots there are pretty green. Most have never seen combat outside of the simulator. And then there are the deployment programs."

Iorek spoke, "He is referring to how we decide who goes to the stations and who joins the fleets. By and large the method of the past was to put the best pilots in the fleets sense it was assumed they would see the most combat. The same holds true for our assault troops." He indicated Orin.

"Thank you sir. The latest engagement at a defense station was at station Ackmard. We were shown the folly of our methods then when the station's assault troops were nearly annihilated by the enemy's combat drones."

Saacon nodded, "And even by fixing these things, we come to a rather unappealing conclusion: We lack the military power to properly defend ourselves."

Miguel studied the map closely, "The biggest problem is the gap in the south west sector of your space, putting a station in that sector could help, Also all these nebulas are perfect for sensor installations that would act as a early warning system, your also going to need automated defences around your space" he said

Saacon nodded at Orin, who procedded to write these things down. "These are good ideas. But now I come to the major point of this meeting: is it possible for our two peoples to protect eachother? I'm not talking about a mere mutual defence pact here, but a full-blown alliance between our nations."

Iorek nodded in agreement. "While we have trouble defending our own territory, projecting force is another matter entirely."

Saacon looked Eileen held Eileen's eyes with his golden ones. "There you have it laid out before you. I believe the saying is: the ball is in...your court? Yes."

"I do see the benifits for your nation, but how would it be benificial for us?" Eileen asked. Yuri then spoke up "I am sure they have some thing to offer as we have much"

Saacon was taken aback somewhat by this answer. He had honestly not thought about it. He looked at Diplomicus, who stleaned forward. "Yes, it is true that we gain much by such a partnership. As to what you gain, we would be staunch and firm allies. As some of your men have already seen, we are quite willing to stand and fight to the last man. You gain a trading partner, a new outlet for your goods and services. You gain access to goods and services that we have to offer. You would gain free and unrestricted access to the Dominion, something which has never before been granted in our long history. You may have the last word when it comes to mobilesuits, but we have pushed our snubfighter program to its limits and beyond. While our capital ships are about on par wiht the rest of the universe, we have some of the best snubfighters." He shook his head, "If nothing else you gain a close friend. With the universe in the state it's in, One needs all the freinds one can get."

"That is true and in are minds that is all we need" Eileen said "now am going to hand it over to Yuri here" she said.
"Thank you we have a small gift for you if these talks work" he paused to open a brief case "This is a new Mobile suit frame its response time is 5% greater then ZAFT's current frame and it can carry one third more weaponry then are current model, also its thruster output is 7% greater" he pushs a photo onto the table of the frame http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/ZAFT20/frame.jpg

Grinning, Diplomicus stood. "Why don't I just scurry off to get the paper work, then?" he did exactly that, leaving the room momentarily.

Orin leaned ovr the table for abetter look at the design. "Seven percent greater than your current model? That's impressive. Did you have to cut down on armor to acheive that or is this a new booster? And what are you calling it?"

Saacon merely sipped his water, things were going better than he could have hoped.

"accully the Armor is quite good and with stand alot as for a name we dont have one yet since it is just the frame once we add the armor and other systems along with a production head unit we will give it a name of course from here are designs will most likely be vary different

Diplomicus came bustling back in with the documents. Coming up to the table, he placed them down in front of the first member of the ZAFT delegation. "Please sign and pass it down. It should make its way allthe way around."

Saacon nodded. "Once this is signed, I assure you that I can personally guarantee that the Dominion will hold to it." He seemed awfully sure of himself, maybe even too confident. But examination of the documents would show them this was no trick, they were being forthright and honest.

Eileen signed it then passed it on to Yuri who signed it followed by the rest. then ray spoke up " I believe your people have to sign it too"

Saacon chuckled, "True, true." Orin signed it, then Coravel, Iorek, Diplomicus and Mefis. Finally, Saacon pulled out an antique fountain pen, and signed in great big letters: Saacon Ralpmet

"There. Now it has been signed by the Dominion's leader." He looked up grinning. He extended his hand to Eileen. "ZAFT is and will always be welcome in the Dominion for as long as I can make it."

Eileen put her hand out and shoock Saacons hand "well we got one more surprise for you not only are we giving you the blue prints for the new frame but we brought with us a fully functional unit for you" she said

Upon hearing this, Orin could hardly hold his excitement. Saacon nodded, "We thank you for this gift. As full allies, you will have no secrets from us. In fact, Iorek?"

"Yes." Iorek handed a disk to Miguel. "This disk contains copies of our military encryption/decrytpion keys. It also contains directions and codes to enter Ironmark, our R&D facility as well as a listing of our IFF frequencies."

"ah thank you it shall be kept guarded and in tern *she pulls out a disc* this disc contains the secret location to are L1 colony cluster along with are encryption and decrytpion codes" she said handed him the disk

Iorek took the disk. "Yet again, we thank you."

"Why don't we walk back to your ship? Poor Orin over there is going to burst if he can't toouch this new suit soon." For his part Orin looked sheepish.

Yuri laughed "of course" they then turned and left the room for the Swift Wolf.

The guards fell in with them. They weren't as stiff as before, probably because of the laughter. As they walked along Orin was asking more questions about the suit. "Is it optimized for vacuum or surface fighting?"

Coravel shook his head and leaned over to Miguel. "Personally, I never understood what the big deal was about mobilesuits. I'd rather stay with more...comventional weapons."

"Once you fight in one for 10 years you get to know the mechine" Miguel said as the group reached the airlock and the door opened showing the 6 ZAFT soldier still there on duty. "The hanger is this way" Eileen said as she turned the corner.

Leaving the Dominion guards behind, they followed. Orin was almost dancing in his excitement to see the suit. It was almost embarrassing.

they at last emerged from a door at the front of the hanger they walked past current zaft models, The Phenix Zaku, Devestater zaku, and the dreadnought zaku. They at last reached the end of the hanger after a minute or two Eileen signaled a soldier then the lights went up revealing the new Mobile suit frame.

Orin stared in awe and even Coravel was impressed. Saacon spoke, "This is a grand gift indeed." And it was. Its smooth lines and general frame indicated power.

"power indeed for this frame is nuclear powered" Yuri said

Orin started to reach out before snatching his hand back and looking at Yuri. "IF I may..."

"Go right ahead we disabled the self distruct to make sure there are not any Accidnets" Yrui said "Mechanic get the PUMF-XX324 Ready for launch" he said the mechanic gave a nod and disconnected the cables from the mechine.

Orin reached out and placed his hand on the suit, relishing the feel of the cold metal. He walked slowly around it tracing his fingers across its smooth surface. "Its perfect."

"Miguel and Nicol why dont you board your mobile suits and make sure his test flight goes well" Yuri said.
"yes sir" they then went upto the pilot ready room to get into there pilots suits.

Orin slowly, almost tentatively boarded it. One would think he had never been in one before. Their suits are much larger than ours. We may have to increase our standard size after all. He quickly familiarized himself with the controls. Or tried to. Their controls are different than ours as well.

The hanger doors opened and the linear catapult deployed Miguel was first, his mobile suits lifted off the ground and bolted down the catapult. The nicol went you could barely see his Pheonix zaku because its paint job was pure black, his suit went down the catapult. "PUMF-XX324 AP is online your course is clear, Systems are all green please launch" CIC said over the com.

Come on don't screw this up. Crud, even their launching methods are different. "Roger, Launching." He was pressed back in his seat as he launched. When he was clear of the ship, he tried manuevering. Oh my god, he thought, this is amazing! "I have to hand it to you, this suit is absolutely wonderful!"

"launching mobile dolls activating simulation mode, Miguel, Nicol show them what ZAFT suits can do" CIC said as un-manned mobile suits launched from the ship and pulled out Plasma beam riflesa opened fire on the two there were 5 suits. Being ace pilots the dodged the shots 10 seconds before they past. the mobile dolls got in close range and pulled out plasma sabers and engaged in close range. Miguel and Nicol were showing off a little preforming complex menuvers and quickly elimanated 3 of the 5 mobile dolls.

OOC: Um...I need to know what this suit is carrying in the way of armaments.

OOC: since its just a frame you got the basic plasma rifle and plasma saber

Inside the new suit, Orin took careful aim with his rifle. Not really a close combat person, with the smaller suits of the Dominion he was almost legendary as a marksman. Only allowing the computer to influence his aim a little, he targetted the thrusters of the nearest mobile doll. He fired and cursed as he realized he had overcompensated for the thing's momentum. Growling, he tried to just kill it as opposed to a surgical strike. Then he noticed something: the other mobile doll was gone!

The Mobile doll was right behind him, It raised its rifle and took aim but before it could fire three shots came at it and it raised its shield but was hit once. It was Nicol who then came in and drew his plasma saber and went at the mobile doll. he cut right through the shield then pulled out a second saber and went at the dolls cockpit. he destroyed the mobile doll there was one left.

Orin could not believe it, he had missed the thing twice. Twice! He was unaccustomed to missing even once. Totally enraged, he charged at the mobile doll. Dodging as he went in firing all the way, when he closed he brought the butt of the rifle up to its visual sensor.

The mobile doll kick him away and decided to take a few shots at him with a rifle. it kept move attacking from multiple directions.

Accepting the hits, he tried a more direct approach. He flew in at full thrust and collided with the mobile doll. He tried to wrap his arm aroiund it and press the gun up to its "stomach" to fire.

All of a sudden Miguel came out of no where and kicked orin out of the way, "You fool it was just about to kill you" The mobile doll was a second away from turning on a plasma saber right were his cockpit was.

"Arg! Why can't I touch the thing?! I've never had this much trouble taking out my target." Disregarding the rifle, he drew out the beam saber and zoomed back in at the mobile doll.

"Your calibration is off on your rifle thats why, its never been used so naturally the calibration is off"

Orin came on at the mobile doll hard and fast. He sought to keep it on the defensive as he tried to find an opening through wich to kill it.

The Mobile doll slipped up and gave orin a opening to destroy it.

Aha! Finally! Orin drove the blade home, then jerked it upward. Pulling it free, he jetted back to put some distance between him and it.

"haha its about time" Nicol said. Due to it being on simulation mode the doll was not really dead there was no beam. "alright rap it up and head back" Miguel said as him a Nicol turn back to the ship along with the mobile dolls. They landed on the ship and went to there stolls for there mobile suits. "Algith orin just lighten up on the thrusters and come in slowly" Miguel said over the com.

Obeying the command, Orin coasted back in. "I still can't believe how long that took." He shook his head, he would have to get the rifle properly calibrated first. Then he would have to familiarize himself with the controls.

"your just lucky the AI was not on highest setting" Nicol said
"Its takes some time before you get the hang of a new suit" Miguel said
"Well you guys better get ready to adjust Project Fox Hunter is almost complete the new suits will be on the production lines within a month" Yuri said.

"Even as badly as I was handling it, it's clear how superior the suit is. It is far and away more advanced than anything we have in service."

"Maybe Orin would like a trip to are R&D facility at L2?"Yuri asked

"As much as I wish I could, I'm afraid I have other duties that keep me here."

"Your lucky you do or you would never want to leave" Yuri laughed

"Yes, well duty calls. I'm afraid I have other obligations."

"As do we all these days, now that the new model are coming soon these will be are new mobile doll force and the zaku warriors are going to help train pilots"

Just seeing your machines in action, even the mobile dolls, I realize that we have som far to go; so much more to achieve in this field. I need to ask, though: why are your suits so large? They are more than three times as large as our current models."

"mostly all the equipment and for the weapons load out, Shields, armor, are top secret reflective coating" he said "if you think something almost 20 meters tall large you should see the heavy artilery platform mobile suits thats are over 70 meters tall"

Orin tried to do the math in his head. "So your suits are roughly sixty-five fet or so. Our current suits are roughly fifteen feet tall. That's a fairly large difference. Doesn't the size of the suits limit how many you can deploy? Aside from being larger targets, each suit would require more resources to manufacture and maintain."

"Well thats a trade secret how we do it" he said "by the way how do your people pilot a machine thats so small since 15 feet equels 4.57200 meters"

"Our operating systems are different, and we haven't evolved to the stage you are at yet. The first models were essentially power armor. That evolved into exo-suits and we just made the jump to a cockpit similar to yours a model or two ago. Granted, our cockpits are more cramped but we are smaller targets as well. Also, the transports can carry more suits this way."

"is that so? currently this ship carries 8 mobile suits and is clissified as a light escort destroyer. a Star gazer class cruiser can carry over 30 suits, and a Black hammer class deadnought can carry several battalions. Also one of are mobile fortresses can carry several legions" he paused "also considering how small your suits are it makes me wonder what if any armor they have"

"While it's true they aren't as heavily armored as yours, but we manage to protect our pilots. Granted, the limbs are hardly armored but the suits themselves are surprisingly mobile."

"But you have to admit your suits need to be in large numbers to be effective"

"I really don't know. We've never been in a situation where we weren't outnumbered. We've never been in a situation where we could afford not to deploy large numbers."

"oh I see, I guess are commando teams are uniqe then" he said "only 3-5 pilots per team doing dangerous work behind enemy lines, we haven't lost one commando team ever yet"

"Really, I think I would have trouble getting the funding for larger mobile suits. I mean, on one hand you have large powerful mecha and on the other you have numerous small mecha. Surely there is a happy medium somewhere."

"a Medium eh? we dont have suits in the 40-60 meter range every thing is under 30 or above 60 usuallym though we have begun to explore any value of having suits in that range so far we have not found any strategic reason to develop a prototype or a design. As for funding ZAFT gets a large supply of cash at $109,393,987,237.92 dollers which helps fund are R&D and manufacturing"

"Yes. Well, we are working on a design that far surpasses any suit that we currently use. Unfortunately, standing at just over fifty feet it is sure to be canned at the next budget meeting."

"Am sure if one of are tech. reps came you would get the funding"

"Unfortunately, the next budget meeting isn't for a few more months. Until then, all we can do is tweak the design."

"I hope you get the funding you need a simplesuit thats about 16 meters tall should do every thing you need"

"The hard part will be getting it approved. I think we're going to have to bend a few rules and regs to build a few models so we can actually have some hard data for the budget commitee."

"I can make a few calls MMI has a few extra facilities for use"

"That would be nice. How secretive are they? It wouldn't do to have someone catch wind of this and have my design team fired."

"vary heavy security around all facilities"

"Hmmm. We might want to look into that. I would have to find a way to get my design team to you. Maybe I can convince the higher-ups it's a good will gesture."

"MAyhps, you are right. Mayhaps indeed. Well...let me go see if I can get some approval and then I'll grab my team and the designs."

Orin went to talk to Saacon. "Sir, A few of the ZAFT mobilesuit pilots believe that our design team should visit their R&D facility. Personally, I agree. This could be a great oppurtunity to advance the level of sophistication of our suits at least ten times over."

Saacon smiled knowingly. "And this has nothing whatsoever with Project Lion?" He chuckled at Orin's surprise. "What you thought I didn't know what goes on in my own government? Go. Take a few extra scientists and engineers with you. If you're going to be busy getting ready for the next budget meeting, we'll need some people who are actually there to learn."

"Yes, sir!" Orin grabbed a nearby soldier and told him what he wanted. The soldier ran off and Orin went back to their guests. "It's been arranged. I sent a runner to summon the design team and a few others."

"All right" Ray said as he went to a panel at the wall, he pushed a button "Captain begin final preperations" he said. The captain confirmed with a quick "yes sir".

The design team and observors showed up. One handed a datapad to Orin, who turned and said "This contains all the information we have for this suit." He was visibly excited at the oppurtunity to make his dream a reality.

"Shall we get going then?" Eileen asked

Orin saluted. "Most definately, ma'am." turning to the mobilesuit pilots, he asked "Do you want to see what we have now? Or do you want to wait until we arrive at our destination?"

"we can wait it wont take long to get to L2" Miguel said "shall we head to the bridge then?" Yuri asked

Orin shrugged, "Sure, why not?" He was interested in seeing what other things ZAFT was more advanced in. "Afterwards, though, I would like somewhere to bunk down."

"Aligh we can have rooms aranged in the guest area those like all the other rooms are large" Eileen said as they walked out of a hanger to a elavator to the bridge.

Orin glanced at Eileen, "That must be nice, ma'am. Most personal quarters aboard Dominion warships are small, cramped affairs with several bunks bolted to the wall."

" our's were once like that but after we had to make are ships bigger so did are living space" she said as they got in the elavator.

"What exactly is the complement of such a vessel? There's nothing even approaching this size in the Dominion. The closest we can get is our command ships and they're a fraction of the size."

"this ship has about 7,000 crew if we wanted to, but we have cut alot of positions to automated repair systems and so on systems that haven't been effected are the gunner stations and mobile suit deck, medical is still fully staffed and so are a few other places" she said as they arrived at the bridge the door opened and from where they were they could see about 20-30 people manning the controls while the captain sat in his cahir. "Are weapons are mostly anti-matter missiles, and Linear positron cannons we also have some other weapons"

Orin blinked in surprise. "How have you managed to stabilize anti-matter enough to be used in warheads? Also what is a linear positron cannon?"

"the stableization is a military secret am afraid, as for the cannon it takes a high power positron blast but it also fires a projectile the positron blast creates a split second hole in the shields of the enemy ship the projectile goes through it and hits the hull, Its took a long time for a people to get the timing right"

Orin let out a low whistle. That was impressive. It was a good thing the Dominion and ZAFT had becom allies, he was getting the feeling ZAFT could have eaten them alive.

"It's some what of a good thing that we do not invade other nations, we only help nations fend off invaders and usually never get anything in return or ask for any thing" Eileen said. "Well captain shall we head to L2?" Ray asked "Right away sir" the captain got on the ship wide communications "All hands prepare for hyper space I repeat all hands prepare for hyper space" he said before turning off ship wide communications. "Don't worry the ride is vary smooth" Eileen said.

"Ma'am. If I might be excused, I would like the oppurtunity to bunk down for awhile." Orin was tired enough he was beginning to have trouble keeping his eyes open.

"of course, soldier show this man to his room" she said "your going to need some one that knows where every thing is, even i get lost from time to time" Eileen said

Orin saluted, "Thank you, ma'am." He did an about face and followed the soldier to his bunk. As he lay down to sleep, his dreams were filled of The new mobilesuit model. His life's ambition was almost within reach.

Soon after the ship came out of hyper space at L2 and approched one of the colonies

"Ah good to see one of those hour glasses again" Nicol said. "You said it, I think we should dock and wait till are guests are awake brfore we go to the colony" Ray said "Yes it will give us all some down time, well captain dock the and give your crew some R&R" Eileen said. "With pleasure ma'am"

Blissfully unaware of the world around them, the people of Arcadeos slept the sleep of the just. Each with their own dreams. Orin was still dreaming of his mobilesuit design.

The ship docked and members of the crew began leaving taking shuttles to the colony the Swift Wolf's entire crew was from L2 so they took the chance to go see the families.

Upon waking, Orin roused the other members of his group and readied themselves for leaving. But he didn't know how they were going to do this. Were they to walk as one group with him and his design team pulled aside later? Or were they to be split up immediately? He stuck his head outside the door, to ask.

By chance Eileen and the others were just walking by orins room "I see your awake" she said

Orin snapped to attention and saluted her. "Yes, ma'am. I was wondering what happens now?"

"We take a shuttle to the colony then head for MMI's facilities" she said "if your read we can get moving now"

"Of course ma'am." They left the room and followed her to the shuttle. "How long will the flight be?"

"Only about 15 minutes to the colonies space port" she said as they left the ship into the docking area were many ships of different shaps and sizes could be seen. They arried at the shuttle and walked in the craft was long and there were onther people on it and each row had two seats. Elieen and the others sat down.

Orin and his people also sat down and settled in for the short flight over. Orin stared out the window, not really seeing anything. His mind was preoccupied with how he would pitch this new design.

The shuttle flew by the massive colonies and went into the space port of one. they got off the shuttle and walked down the long walkway to the central hub. At the central hub they went in a elevator to the at the time lower section of the colony. "You see the two sections of the colony rotate around the central hub the continent above us right now is currently at around mid-night while the Continent we are heading to its about noon"

"Continents? Woah, these colonies are ginormous!" Several scientists and engineers were talking excitedly amongst themselves about its construction an its possible applications towards military developement.

"they are large but they are home to so many people, and they are powered by solar energy from the panels outside the colony. Not all colonies are the same some are for technology, some for agriculture, and other address many other needs including medical science." she said as the elevator reached the bottom and they stepped out. They left the building to see a helicopter waiting for them "They traffic is bad this time of day so are fastest way to get to the facility is by helicopter" she said as she got on board.

As they boarded the helicopter, Orin looked out yet another window. Sidling up to Miguel, he murmured "When will I be presenting my mobilesuit proposal?"

Orin began to talk to his team, discussing how it would be presented and going over the material and data they already had.

Orin glance at it as they walked by. Then he hnched back over the datapad he was using to prepare his presentation.

The reached the complex it was both manufacturing facility and a development facility and it was large. they went to a room were they was a large holoprojector in the middle of the room and alot of computers. "Alright what do you got"

Orin hooked his datapad up to the projector. "Ladies and gentlemen. What you are about to witness is the culmination of close to two years of hard work. The design for a new mobilesuit totally unlike anything in the Dominion's war chest. Codenamed Project Lion, it would be the most advanced mobilesuit in the Dominion;s armory." He pushed a few buttons and the projector glowed to life.

"Interesting mobile suit I am wondering though why the shield is so small, Also what is your current Mobile suit OS?"

"The shield is small because there is no need for a large one. With it being such a light-weight suit, we didn't want to add more than we had to. As I mentioned the shield is optional to the pilots. Keeping the shield small allows the suit to maintain its manueverability. Also, the main purpose of the shield is not to protect the whole suit, but just the chest where the cockpit is located.

As for the OS, we are trying a new system we are calling Epsilon."

"I see we are currently on ZAFT Neo operating system 9.2.0 Revision 7 are most advanced operating system yet. It is extremly complex and one programed by one of are most skilled programers and Plots who is on the Chairmans personal guard force" he said "I wonder will we have to write a new OS once this thing is built depending of its preformence" he wondered

"I don't know. We are just normal humans after all. I don;t think we would be able to use your system, just as our system would probably seem to ackward for you to use."

"well if we need to we can write a OS for you guys" he said "This wont be hard to build should take a few weeks'

Orin shrugged. "Back to the briefing, Computer tests show that the suits excel when deployed in teams as opposed to going solo. The smallest group the simulations have succeeding on a regular basis is three. And the more suits you add, the higher the win percentage is. And this takes into account larger enemy forces as well. We think that the reason for this could be something as simple as the formations used. Though there is a small battlenet system, what one mobilesuit sees they all can see."

"Well then it will be prepared for most combat in the universe" he said "with your permission I'll take this to the constuction team untill its complete you can stay here in November City and explore the city and enjoy your stay you can also come observe tests of Project Fox hunter"

"That sounds good to me." Orin disconnected his datapad from the projector and handed it over.

Yuri then handed it to a man who was head of the contruction team "Don't worry my team will have it done on time" he said "vary good untill then we have a guest home area were you all can stay during the constuction"

Orin nodded, "Thank you. I'm sure we will enjoy our stay here."
