You can pick any nation that currently exists in the real world. Everything is the same as it is in the real world except... there are no nukes. I think this will make things more interesting. For example, if the USA wants to make a quick strike on China before it passes them up as the world superpower there is no worry of mutual destruction. (There will, of course, be political considerations though.) This way the possibilities for who will go to war are endless.

Don't Godmode and all that. Other than that I don't think I have anything to say.

I may join this as a change of pace, but I'm not sure yet as I know little of modern RPs...plus you took my favorite nation...Oh well, I'd rather have some little nation in my first Modern Tech RP.

Well, i'd hate to seem like I'm advertizing a board, but if you want to you should look into getting an Invisionfree board for all this. It's way easier then NS general forums.

Nah, I'm saying that they probably would have been further developed if there were no nukes. Or at least more common.

I'm going for one week holiday now but if we don't start before Monday the 31. I join as Spain.

if there was no nuclear weaponry, the money would've gone somwhere else. So does this mean that nations with large nuclear stockpiles (USSR, USA, France, ect) would have more planes and tanks? or are we assuming the money went somewhere else?

and is this RP set in the present?

because if you dont want to have nukes in it, I think it would make more sense to start it in 1945, right before the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Franberry, we will assume the money was already spent on something else. When creating facbooks just use the current real life military numbers. For nations like Japan and Germany that don't spend much on their militaries currently you can always build it up after we begin.

As for Hiroshima and Nagasaki, everyone can make up their own explanation for how Japan was defeated without nukes (not that hard, really). Or you can pretend nukes do exist but some magic mojo was worked to make them useless.
