My little island nation
The man known as Peter Duncan, an American sea captain claimed Navaza Island for himself. He made himself its Governor. Vladimir Basilievsky was a Russian in Tzarist Russia, who with settlers, landed on the island. They were accepted in, and the island was later to be ruled by Basilievsky.
Basilievsky made the island an independent domain, and he had the clergy that came with him help to establish Russian Orthodoxy. Some Americans lived on the island as well.
Basilievsky passed on and the dominion went to Governor Sergei, his own son. Sergei established ties to America but kept his nation's ways alive. Russian and Cyrillic began to make an appearance.
Russian is the offical language and there is no state religion, Russian Orthodoxy is 90-95 percent of the people's faith and Protestantism to the remainder.
