Panic at the Execution (VERY open)

Imperial-Occupied City of Palantis; Former Capital of Kharan During Clone Wars. High Noon Coruscanti Standard Time

"Good day, it is I, Commander Tobin of the Grand Army of the Galactic Empire reporting live from the Palantis Maximum Security Prison; a facility that has held some of the galaxy's worst terrorists and political prisoners - by far the most secure prison in this sector of the galaxy.

And today it seemingly holds the most notorious terrorist in its history - as far as the locals are concerned at least. Indeed, Lagia Sunari, a prominent member in the 'Kharan Regor' has at last been captured during an attempt at the life of our beloved Governor-General.

Her execution now is merely minutes away as she waits behind these walls. At the young age of nineteen, miss Lagia is the youngest person to be convicted of terrorism and held in these facilities; but by all estimates her notoriety does not end there. The young Serrenoan-born girl moved to Kharan near the end of the Clone Wars; shortly afterwards becoming involved in a terrorist organization known as the 'Kharan-Regor'. Loosely translated into Basic, that is 'Kharan Liberation Army'.

The Kharan-Regor has been responsible for many assassinations of government officials in the past; their goal being to remove all order from Kharan and reduce the world once more to the anarchy it held before it was liberated from CIS control at the end of the Clone Wars.

Ahh, yes, I can see the executioneer entering the facilties now. As Kharanai tradition mandates, he is wearing the black hooded cloak; his entire face covered so he may not see the death of the prisoner and thus be cursed. A strange supersticion; but natives will be natives.

What in the blazes was that? It looks like something exploded within the prison facilties! Security will have to be notified immediately to lockdown the facilities before...

Sith's blood! A prison break has been organized; I can see some now running out of the newly-blown hole in the wall, the 'executioner' among them. Clones will be needed immediately to secure this area of the city before these prisoners escape. If such terrorists are set free into the galaxy again, who knows what horrors they might unleash.

Rest assured, justice shall be dealt here! Those responsible for this outrage against Imperial sovreignty will be hunted down and killed. The Kharan-Regor shall suffer for this outrage!"

(Translated into Basic for convenience)

"So how are the transmissions looking, Master Andoris"

"So far nothing of any note; some fool is spreading some propaganda against us, but nothing of any true note yet."

"The things he said about Lagia are just horrid! She saved my life once; I know she would never try to hurt anyone - unless it was a really evil person. There's no way she deserves to die! I know Ragoris will get there in time, I just know it.... Wait, there's Ragoris right there in that executioner suit. The fool doesn't even know it's not the real one!"

"No one's noted the bomb yet..."

"It's a thirty second fuse; if security detects it, they might be able to disarm it before it activates."

"Oh, quiet Natiara, you always are such a coward!"

"YES! The bomb exploded!"

"Thank the Force"

"I am Commander Tobin reporting live from the scene of perhaps what has been the greatest act of treason against the Empire since Dooku's death. Just four hours ago, a bomb was detonated within these prison facilities, allowing 162 prisoners awaiting death sentences for charges of treason and terrorism to escape - Lagia Sunari among them.

The Kharan-Regor claims responsibility for this terror attack. A omnidirectional wideband signal, apparantly transmitted by the Kharan-Regor presents the following chilling message:

Justice cannot be denied forever; all acts of Imperial agression against sovreign Kharanai territory must be paid for in blood. We do not negotiate with tyrants; there shall be no peace until all Palpatine's puppets are dead. The violence will not end. Today you have witnessed but the start of what is to be a campaign to bring terror to the hearts of our oppressors.

No longer shall we remain mere assassins; stealthed warriors who remain unseen attacking a single target. Because of your refusal to listen to our demands, Governor-General Henterin, I assure you of this: the violence shall increase. If you will not peacefully comply with our demands and respect our sovreignty; the dying screams of your minions shall perhaps at last reach your deaf ears.

Your failure has only begun. Kharan WILL be free.

Sincerely,

Ragoris Sirava. Heir to the Sirava Throne that you stole from me and provider of today's 'fireworks'.

According to most reports, the message checks out as being truly that of Ragoris. Ragoris, Lagia, and their Master are all now enemies of the state; with a current reward being set of 10,000,000 credits for their bodies - dead or alive.

To you Ragoris, know that we will hunt you down and kill you and your terrorist comrades. The Empire does not cave in to violence. Justice SHALL be served."

Governor-General Henterin:

Greetings to you my potential ally; the Empire bestows warm welcome to all who would help us to stand against this threat of violence that threatens to destroy all civilization that we have labored so long to establish on this world. I realize that tracking them will not be easy; especially on so remote a world with little technological resources at its disposal.

For this reason, and the danger they pressent, I have set the price on their heads to the maximum value allowed without prior concent of a regional Moff. I shall bring the issue up immediately, and hopefully the proposal to raise the value of the bounty shall increase.

I fear the Kharan-Regor may provide monentary incentives of its own to support their terrorist actions; and without the law to limit them, in the short run they may succeed in such, but they are severely lacking in resources. Even a pure mercenary could see the folly in allying one's self with them. I urge you to consider carefully an alliance with the Empire in this matter.

Sincerely yours,

Governor-General Henterin of Suros II
