Basically, this is a sudden jump forward in time for ITD, since I have no current rp commitments, this shouldn't interfere with anything.
The last twenty years were simple enough for the Empire of ITD, the conquest of Jerusalem was achieved in early 2007 and peace had been made with the enemies of the empire, including the nation of Hataria. On the home front, the royal family was booming, Empress Persephone had birthed six children in addition to the original two, two sets of twins and two individual births, Prince-Heir Loki was being groomed for his ascension to the throne and his sexual relationship with his sister Eris had avoided the public eye.
Empress Persephone had aged gracefully, she was now in her mid-forties, but you couldn’t tell it by looking at her, she looked no older than 30 and was quite popular among the young men of the empire. Despite birthing over eight children, she was in excellent shape for her age and was still a minx in bed, something the Emperor could attest to.
Emperor Erik Kersk was also growing older, now being in his late forties, he has become a respectable elder statesman and was now actively training and teaching his sons how to live in the world of international politics. An attempt on Erik’s life was made in 2010, but he survived despite a direct shot to the head, he made a full recovery in just a few short years and allowed his elder brother, Daniel, to rule in his stead. Erik’s children with Persephone were named, respectively, Loki, Eris, Flavius, Estia, Godfrey, Mary, Ulric and Abila.
Daniel Reck Kersk had retired from active duty after the attempt on Erik’s life, agreeing to rule in Erik’s place until he made a full recovery. In the mean time, he was training his son, Alexander to one day take his spot as Grand General of the Imperial Armies, a spot historically held by an able member of the royal family. Daniel, with his wife Angela, was gifted with five children, three males and two females. Their children, respectively, were named Alexander, Daniel II, Lazarus, Emily and Lisa.
Anne Reck Kersk, the twin sister of Daniel had married a respectable but older member of the Vosii family, but was only able to have three children before her husband, Joseph Vosii, died from a stroke. She currently spends her time in Hades, raising her three children, Joseph II, Persephia and Elata.
Peter, the youngest brother of Erik, had gone onto become respectable business executive with the Venom Corporation and currently sits as the CFO of the mega corporation. He is currently married to a young woman from the Valor family, Adela; they are currently expecting their second child.
Mary, the twin sister of Peter, was a temple maiden for Apollo for a few years, but later married the son of Dr. Lector Villefort. She is currently expecting a young son.

Princess Eris lay, stretched out on her large soft bed, obviously naked but covered with a gold colored sheet, she moved her leg out from beneath the sheet and half wrapped it around Prince Loki, who was sitting at the edge of the bed smoking a cigarette, wearing nothing but a pair of shorts.
"Do you think they know?" asked Eris.
He replies, "Hmmm...”, deep in thought
Eris nudged him slightly, "Loki."
Loki finally relented and answered her, "What?"
"Do you think they know about us, mom and dad?" she asked.
Loki raised one of his eyebrows, as if he was alarmed by the very notion, "No, why?"
"Well, it's been pretty serious... you can hardly stay away from me." smiled Eris as she leaned up and started playing with his disheveled hair, obviously ruffled from a night full of "rough housing."
"They don't know, why would they?" asked Loki.
"Do you think we should tell them?" she whispered in his ear as she leaned in closer.
"Tell them what? That their two oldest children have been screwing around for the last five years? I don't think they would take the news well." replied Loki, going off in a tirade about the possible consequences and repercussions about their love affair.
"What are we supposed to do? Spend the rest of our lives in secret?" asked Eris in a very serious tone, half disappointed that Loki didn't like the idea.
"Dad would kill me." said Loki, bluntly and truthfully.
"No he wouldn't." said Eris as she shook her head and grabbed the hand of Loki and pressed it against her face.
"Yes he would, he almost killed me when I wrecked his car a few years ago. That was just a car, imagine what he would do to me now." insisted Loki.
Eris sighed, "He wouldn't kill you, besides, he was on pain killers back then, he was recovering from the assassination attempt, remember?"
"Yea, yea, yea. What if the media finds out? They would love to get this story, it would be all over the place, even the state controlled channels!" said Loki as he put the cigarette out in a nearby ash tray, lest he set the bed on fire during his little rant.
"We can keep this just in the family." nodded Eris, assuring him that nothing bad would happen.
"Impossible, there are dirty gossip freaks all over the palace. Remember George Fabian, the old palace cook? He kept a blog filled with gossip, like the time he saw Dad sniffing cocaine." insisted Loki again.
"Really? What happened to him?" she asked.
"The fed him to the palace dogs." he replied, with a slight laugh.
"I still think we should tell mom and dad. Eventually we will get caught and it will be much worse if it happens that way." opined Eris.
Loki remained silent for a minute as Eris snuggled up next to him.
"Damnit, Eris, if it means that much to you... fine... I must be crazy." relented Loki, defeated in the argument.
"Yep, crazy for me," as she gave him a sensual kiss.

Marching into the room, a lady clad in purple marched right over to Loki, spat into his face and slapped him.
“Ow, fuck!” he yelled as he was slapped across the face again by his mother who just heard the news.
“You fucked your sister, you little pervert!” his mother, Empress Persephone yelled.
“Yea, yea I did. What about it, woman?” replied Loki, in a completely disrespectful manner.
“Don’t use that tone with me. You are already in enough shit as it is. How could you do this?” she said as she restrained herself from slapping him again.
“It was easy, she spread her legs and I…” laughed Loki, he was obviously drunk, probably deciding to inebriate himself prior to the confrontation.
“That is enough!!” roared a loud voice from across the room; his father had been observing the brief argument and decided to intervene.
“Dad…. I…” said Loki as he slightly cowered at the sight of the elderly but powerful man.
“You what? What could you possible say now?” said Emperor Erik as he slammed the end of his cane into the floor.
“I love her!” asserted Loki.
“Love her? LOVE HER?!” scoffed Persephone, at the preposterous idea.
“Persephone, let me deal with him. Loki, you cannot love her, not in that way, it’s not right and it’s dangerous. Can you imagine what would happen if the media found out?” said Erik, obvious afraid of the political implications of such a scandal.
“What would happen? What could they do? Nothing, that’s what, they can make fun of us all they want but in the end we control the guns,” said Loki, assuring himself that such a scandal would not happen, but also if it did that it would not matter.
“It’s not that simple. The system doesn’t work like that. I’m telling you to stop seeing her in that way. You can act like a brother to her, but you cannot be with her,” interrupted Erik, “I won’t allow it.”
“You cannot stop us,” yelled Eris, standing next to Loki and grasped his hand in a supportive manner.
“I can!” roared Erik.
“Bullshit, that’s complete and utter bullshit. I will not stop seeing her, I don’t care what you do,” scoffed Loki
“Stay right there and don’t move! I haven’t finished talking to you…” said the Emperor as he pointed a pistol at the young man, the gun wasn’t loaded but Loki didn’t know that. Erik had removed the bullets from the clip shortly after hearing the news, lest he actually do something he would regret… “That’s better, now like I was saying, you will stop seeing her, or you will have this to deal with.”
Loki dismissed the threatening manner of his father, “You wouldn’t shoot me. You need me to take the throne when you die.”
Erik opined, “Oh? Your brother Flavius could do that just fine.”
“Him? He’s a simpleton, he would lead the nation to ruin,” asserted Erik, indeed Flavius was not the brightest bulb out there, he was hard headed but he was loyal to the family, especially his father.
“Maybe, but if that’s what it takes to teach you a lesson,” said Erik.
Loki stuttered slightly from the thought of really losing his birthright, “F… Fine! I don’t need the throne! If your only way of convincing me to stop seeing the woman I love is to deny me my birthright, then you have nothing but failure to look forward to. I will not stop seeing her.”
“Then it’s settled. Flavius is now my heir,” nodded Erik.
“You know the Praetorian Guard would never accept this, they are loyal to Loki,” opined Persephone.
“They will just have to deal with it,” mumbled Erik, knowing that she was correct.
Loki pulled of the gold ring on his finger and threw it on the ground, “I’m leaving, if you have any hope for the future of this nation you wouldn’t make this stupid decision, but you did. I hope Flavius rots in his throne,” he yelled, turned, grasped Eris’ hand and started walking toward the door.
“Where are you going?” asked Persephone.
“Jerusalem,” answered Loki, Erik knew he wasn’t lying. Loki had spent quite a few of his years in Jerusalem overseeing the rebuilding projects that occurred there.
“Not with her, you aren’t. She stays here,” said Erik bluntly and plainly.
Loki paused, let her hand go and gave her a goodbye kiss and whispered in his ear, “I love you, when the time is right, I will return,” he then continued walking, entered a car outside the palace and told the driver “Drive me to the airport.”
On a remote video monitoring room, Flavius sat reclined in a chair, after watching the argument. Flavius smiled, “Score one for me.”

Perhaps the imperial mail system was simply losing the many letters he had written his sister, or maybe their father was intentionally denying her mail; whatever the cause he had not heard from his sister, at least directly, in over six months. Loki was kept busy in Jerusalem; he had constructed a large temple to Apollo and was preparing for the oncoming winter months. He opened an e-mail console window and typed off a quick letter to his father.
“I will be returning for winter, I expect a cold welcome. The temple opening went well. Give everyone my well wishes. -Loki”
Loki made sure not to mention his sister; he didn’t wish to add any gasoline to the fire. He always wrote short, empty letters, at least for the last six months. Suddenly he noticed an unopened email, clicked on it and was surprised to find that it had accidentally been sent to him instead of the intended recipient, his younger brother Flavius. The letter was encrypted, so Loki used a program to brute force the encryption.
“In response to letter, I have been keeping an eye on your brother, as you instructed. He has been very secretive, but I have several bugs in his room to maintain my observation. I don’t think it would be wise to cause any permanent physical harm to him, your father might suspect foul play and your brother has a coterie of close friends protecting him. I will continue my work her in Jerusalem, but I will not be able to follow him if he returns to Rome for the winter. Your servant, J.M.”
J.M.? Who could that be? Loki pulled up a list of government personnel in the territory, performed an initial search but came up several results. John Mariner, James Martice, Joseph Mast and Jill Miner. Not a particularly familiar group, they were all low level employees with only tenuous access to the room or even this floor of the building. The email address it was sent from wasn’t particularly helpful either; it was one of those disposable email addresses. It seemed this person was using one sided or blind communication with Flavius, which meant Flavius had to use a publication or an easily accessible periodical in order to respond. Loki would have to keep an eye on this situation.

(Is this a Story or an RP?)
This is a story that I've been putting off and brainstorming for sometime...
