Info on the Taino people, the main group in my nation

The Taino have reappeared in their own nation. They also have the Ciboney and Caribs to deal with. The Taino chief, John of Arawakia unified the nation into one and made himself the leading chieftan or cacique. John of Arawakia was succeeded by other rulers. In 1834, James of Arawakia took power and was known for the sending of Peter the Arawak to Europe, to discuss treaties.

The Taino kept their traditional ways and culture, despite their rulers adopting names like Peter or Paul. The Taino State's Peter The Taino married a European girl and came back to the Taino State, telling the rulers of his time in Europe.

The Taino State in 1911 was led by their first female ruler, Elizabeth of Arawakia who ruled from 1910-1945. From 1945-1999 was the rule of her successor, Paul of Arawakia. Paul had one of the longest reigns in Arawakia. The current ruler (1999-) is George of Arawakia.

George of Arawakia is a respected man who continues to keep the Taino ways alive and going. Will Arawakia continue? Let us see.
