*The Republic of Groznyj is located in the Caucasus Mtns, the land between the Caspian and Black Seas. Due to the need for more developable&farmable land the vastness of the Anatolian seems a perfect place to enlarge.

----------------------------------------------

"This morning President Urmev signed pres. order 582, making the annexation of Anatolia official. This is a bold move by the government and sources beleive that the main stimulus for this is economic pressure from involvement in Kravania."

President Urmev walked into the room, his cabinet waiting for him.

"Good morning gentlemen. So how's the situation?"

"Sir," the Secretary of State spoke up, "Everything's going along fine. There's next to no one living in that area and the resourses there are just what we need. This is going to double the size of our borders. Look at these papers," He slid a stack of pictures toward Urmev, "The country is rich in new resources and farmable land." --Indeed this was true. Groznyj was begginning to face the future problem of running out of land. So much of the beautiful country was set aside as parks and undevelopble land. Not only that, but the ruggedness of it made farming not exactly an easy deal. This expansion would ensure the future stability and strength of Groznyj.-- "We have plans too for 3 major cities to be built. Others for military bases."

"Sir if I may," A heavily built, round man raised his hand, it was Chief Farley of the Armed Forces.

"If we aquire this new land, it puts us in air-range of Kravania. We can send fighters, bombers, fly in transports and supplies to our forces. We can provide better airsupport and I agree fully with this plan."

Urmev felt confident and pleased, "Good, very good."-he cleared his throat, the lung cancer was only begginning to work his old body-"So, Henry, how is agriculture looking for the region?"

Henry Joans, Minister of agriculture began a long lecture on agriculture in the region. The conference lasted for another 2 hours.
-------------------------------------------------------
The 14th Mechanized division, consisting of 80,000 troops, swept across Anatolia to make sure the land was safe to inhabit. Behind them an even more massive army of civil engineers, construction contractors, and government officials marched out to designated areas across Anatolia. The land would be integrated into Groznyj as soon as possible and it would be cemented by 3 major cities and othe military installations.

President Kurt Moltke sat in his wheelchair behind his desk as he read over reports that had been coming in all morning until he was interupted by an aide who entered with a file folder in her hand, "President Moltke, Sir, I have a report from the state department. The nation of Groznyj has formally annexed Anatolia, the State Minister has said this could potentially threaten our own interests in the region, including petrol and heavy oil positions which we still require until biodiesel production increases domestically."

"From that kind of position, they could move in against our small garrisons nearby," Thought Moltke aloud, "Call a ministers meeting, we need to act fast."

"Yes Sir."

Within an hour, the most powerful men in the Aequatian Republic were meeting in the large conference room atop the Ebon Tor. President Moltke sat at the head of the table and examined his cabinet of ministers, most of them remaining from General Saltzman's time in office. He started the meeting off, "What can we do about all this?"

Minister of Defence, Kurt Lowenthal, sat forward from his seat, "Sir, we could strengthen our positions in Bulgaria and the Black Sea, preventing them from using it as a corridor to our projects in the Southwest of Ukraine."

Fleet Admiral Hans Langsdorff angerly objected, "If they have already have control of the entire peninsula, that includes the Istabul Strait, which prevents us from reinforcing the ships that are already present in the Black Sea," He said pointing across the table to Marshal-General Elisa Greif, "The Army will have to clear that area before we can move to strengthen our positions."

The general did not appreciate the responsibility being placed on her forces by her naval cohort, "We do not have the resources to defend the Bourgas Corridor and assault the Dardanelles Strait for the Navy. Clearing the Dardanelles should be the responsibility of the Marines if the Navy wants it so badly."

After nearly another hour of interbranch bickering, a solution had been reached as the Aequatian Republic Joint Military Forces began mobilizing for deployment to the region.
